Thank you for the review. Product safety is the core of our business, so we will address every point directly.
How our wheels are tested. Every batch goes through a 9-stage quality control process, including a burst test at speeds well above the maximum operating speed (peripheral speed up to 80 m/s) and a side-load test, on certified equipment that meets MPA Hannover laboratory standards. Each wheel carries a batch code; test results are stored and available for audit. Full description: https://novoabrasive.com/en/about-quality/
Certification. NovoAbrasive cutting wheels are manufactured under ISO 9001:2015 and comply with EN 12413. We have held MPA Hannover certification since 2015 and have been a FEPA member since 2017.
oSa. You are correct that NovoAbrasive is not an oSa member. Membership is voluntary and we do not claim it: our website states "tested according to the oSa method", which is exactly what we do on our own certified test bench. If you have seen an oSa membership mark on any of our products or materials, please send us a photo and we will act on it immediately.
The MPA certificate covers our Extreme and Profi cut-off wheels, including the 230 mm sizes. We would appreciate a copy of the MPA correspondence you mention so that we can clarify the matter with MPA directly.
Your case. We have no record of a complaint or a large commercial order from Canada that matches this description. If you experienced safety incidents, we want to investigate them. Please send your order number, the batch codes printed on the wheels and a description of what happened — breakage, vibration, premature wear — together with the machine type, its rated speed, the mounting used and the operation performed, to our team https://novoabrasive.com/en/contact-feedback/. These details matter: in our experience most cut-off wheel failures are application-related — side grinding with a cut-off wheel, exceeding the rated RPM, incorrect mounting or a missing guard. Our application guides cover all of this, and we recommend every user reads them before work: https://novoabrasive.com/en/guides/
Every claim goes through our formal complaints procedure with a written report, and confirmed defective batches are replaced. We would rather resolve this with you than debate it here.
