Norwegian Travel don't care about you as a customer, go for another activity provider.

Overall, my experience with Norwegian Travel has been quite disappointing. The expeditions they provided were decent, but that is only because of the guides loving their job and providing a good experience. The rest of the organisation however is terrible - transport to and from the camp was overbooked which meant we had to wait for another bus (and that means that someone else who was not supposed to take our places was allowed to). A compensation was offered - we accepted it and never received it. Due to bad weather, a part of the expedition was cancelled and we were told that we would get a refund - this refund was never received (2 months since the date of statement).

Overall, they don't care about you as a customer at all. You are far better off going with another activity provider.

We booked for the above holiday late in…

We booked for the above holiday late in November 2022 having travelled to Finland some years before for a winter adventure. This was an Expidition rather than a holiday and the MS Quest, being a Polar vessel was the perfect place to experience the best Norway has to offer. The trip was led by Roger Brendhagen and nature photographer of many years and one of the best leaders of this type of holiday you could ask for. Assisting Roger were Margarita a marine biologist from italy and Eamonn Briel an outdoor sports and winter survival expert. What a team. THe ship is amazing and the observation deck the place to go daily to observe the beauty of Norway. Two days of Whale watching on the Zodiac launch from the boat saw us observing Orcas and Hump back whales. Such beauty in such a location. Northern lights hunting on two nights and we were fortunate to observe the Aurora on both occasions. Not always guaranteed. Along with this we visited the northern most Distillery in the world, a NATO bunker, Hemnes and also experienced Dog sledging and Sami cuture. The captain Jasper from Denmnark was so welcoming as were all the staff from 16 different countries who served us the most amazing meals on-board. Breakfast, 3 course lunch and 3 course dinner. Absolutely perfect.

I cannot recommend this holiday enough. The guides who not only helped us navigate the new environment but also provided lectures covering all of the areas we would observe, Their knowledge was vast and we really loved the information they provided. We booked through the Aurora Zone and everything outside the MS Quest experience was excellently plannedand worked really well.

If you are looking for a winter experience with knowledgeable guides on an amazing ship with superb crew, look no further than the MS Quest through Norwegian Travel.

Perfect experience !!

For the past two days we (three of the nerdiest marine biologists from Denmark) have been out with the Norwegian Travel Company.

Sunday we had booked a trip and went out with The Aurora Explorer and the guides Daniel and Ninnu. We sailed out from Tromsø and went towards Skjervøy. The guides are incredibly kind and knowledgeable. There is coffee, tea, hot chocolate and delicious cookies on board the ship. We had the incredible luck and got to see multiple humpback whales. It was such a treat to experience the whales and also to experience how respectful the captain and the company is of the whales. We did not chase the whales, the boat powered down and made as little a disturbance as possible.

Today, on monday, we had booked another trip, but unfortunately the Aurora Explorer had some engine issues, so our booking was transferred, free of charge, to Rødne Whale Safari. WOW! this was an upgrade. The boat is new, has a proper fancy salon and is incredibly gorgeous!! The guide on this boat, Lucia, is so knowledgeable, welcoming and kind. The guides from the Aurora Explorer came with us, Daniel and another guide, Mina/Minna. Once again, we were blown away with the professionalism, the kindness and just how perfect everything was.

We wanted to see orcas more than we wanted to take our next breath. AND WE GOT TO SEE THEM!!! We saw two different pods of orcas and we saw several humpbacks today too. And the guides were so excited for us. Once again, it was such a pleasure to see how respectful the captain maneuvered the boat at a safe and non-stressful distance from the whales.

The past two days, have given us experiences of our lifetimes, and we do not have enough kind words to eloquently express how perfect everything has been.
