From the moment I arrived at North London Motorcycle Training, I knew I had made the right choice. The entire operation was professional, well organised and welcoming from start to finish. Looking back, I honestly don’t think I could have chosen a better place for my CBT. 

A very special thank you goes to Rishad, who was our instructor. He has a genuine gift for teaching. He guided us through the classroom theory, the off-road practical training and the on-road ride with a level of patience, professionalism and enthusiasm that made learning both enjoyable and memorable.

What impressed me most was his teaching style. He didn’t just tell us what to do—he explained why we needed to do it. He constantly reminded us to stay aware of our surroundings, to use our mirrors effectively, to keep clear of opening car doors and to think ahead rather than simply react. Every lesson had a purpose.

Most importantly, he never taught through fear. He encouraged us, built our confidence and made us believe we could succeed, while also making it very clear that road safety is not something to compromise on. That balance between encouragement and discipline is what makes a truly exceptional instructor.

His approach reminded me of my favourite biology teacher from secondary school—the kind of teacher who makes learning enjoyable and leaves a lasting impression long after the lesson has ended.

The road ride with Rishad was one of the most enjoyable learning experiences I’ve had. I came away not only with a CBT certificate but with a much deeper appreciation of what it means to ride safely and responsibly.

North London Motorcycle Training has an outstanding asset in Rishad. I sincerely hope they keep him for many years to come.

Without hesitation, I’ll be returning here for my future motorcycle training, and I’ll be recommending North London Motorcycle Training to anyone looking for professional, supportive and first-class instruction.

I honestly can’t thank North London Motorcycle Training enough for helping me pass my Mod 2 — especially as someone who is naturally very anxious, nervous and also quite short, which made things more challenging at times.

This journey wasn’t easy for me, but the support I received from the whole team was incredible from start to finish.

A very special thank you to Derek. His patience, calmness and genuinely warm approach made such a huge difference to me. I often felt overwhelmed, but he always knew exactly how to reassure me and explain things in a way that made me feel safe and more confident. He never made me feel rushed or judged, which meant everything.

Thank you as well for believing in me — especially in the moments when I didn’t believe in myself. Hearing you say that I could do it and that I’ve got this really stayed with me and helped me push through.

Also a big thank you to Eugene and Pedro for their great advice, support and patience throughout my training — I truly appreciated everything you shared with me.

I’m so grateful for all the support, encouragement and professionalism. I would highly recommend them to anyone, especially if you’re a nervous rider like me — you’ll be in the best hands.

I've previously done my CBT twice and now my DAS with NLMA. Every time I've had a good experience. The team are approachable, friendly, knowledgeable, and dedicated to making sure their students pass safely. The admin team are all lovely and I loved interacting with them, they made attending friendly and the team felt like they were all invested in us passing.

I did my 5 day direct access course with Eugene. A militant leader with a hard exterior who loathes to let his students know how he really feels. His tough exterior and leadership style, while intimidating and feels akin too a military bootcamp is little more than a protective mechanism for his caring heart. After my course, before I rode away into the sunset He pulled me aside and with a tear in his eye gave me some final words of wisdom. With a subtle nod in my direction, his actions spoke louder than his words ever could, "I am proud".

I recently renewed my CBT with NLMT, and was impressed with the personal service and attention to detail on all aspects of motorcycle riding.
Special mention to Barry for his professionalism.

I took an ITM course at NLMT two weeks ago. Even though it was pouring down with rain for the entire two hours, Tanveer was a brilliant, helpful and patient instructor. Two days later I passed my CBT at another training school, having failed previously on.my first attempt. As a new rider there is no way I would have had the confidence for the CBT road test without that two hours of practice. So I highly recommend NLMT! Thanks again Sir!

Very good place to learn and book my motorcycle test.
( I passed first time ).
Only criticism on the day of driving to take my mod 2 test, the communication earpiece between myself and the instructor driving to the test centre the sound on the earpiece was set very loud.
On the way to the test centre myself and the other learner made a minor driving error.
The instructor shouted into the communication device so loud I had tinnitus in my ear for 24 hours.

This is an excellent motorcycle training school! The instructors were so knowledgeable and most importantly they were very friendly and created a relaxed learning environment. The structure of the 4 day training was really good and paced in a way that builds confidence and fast development. The team helped me pass my mod 1 and 2 first time. Having tried other training schools previously it is very easy for me to compare and say that North London MCT is top class!

I would like to say a massive thank you to north london motorcycle training for my cbt today. And a massive shout out to Deyan my instructor for the day, I had found the day a lot to remember mentally and physically, as I'm new to motorcycling and found Deyan very patient and understanding with me, he had spent the time improving me to riding a motorcycle I felt at ease and felt I could ride a bike as I had a bad experience with another training provider the instructor that trained us on the highway code and having alaugh and introducing us to the world of motorbiking I would like to say thank you.

GO THERE ! Simple as that.
This organisation is undoubtedly the best motorbike training centre in London.
It's actually a known fact: I was advised go to there by several people...and, they were all correct.

You'll have a great time, learn how to ride and pick-up so many tips on how to stay safe and be aware on the road.
I wouldn't go anywhere else.
Did my CBT ...then my DAS & Mod 1 & 2 there.
Will be coming back for more lessons to add to the skills they have taught me: Even though I now have a license.
They know what they are doing and they have a knack for knowing what type of rider you are ...and can be...whatever your age and experience.

I have just completed my DAS course, Module 1 and Module 2 tests with NLMT. Having arrived with very little experience, they immediately put me at ease and built my confidence to be on the road. From start to finish, the instructors were great. Not only did they pass on the skills to pass the tests but were always building my wider knowledge to make me a better rider beyond the tests. Having had three instructors, Eugene, Pedro and Derek, I found them all to be exceptional instructors and great guys to chat to. No review would be complete without also mentioning Debbie and Gloria in the office. They were very welcoming, incredibly helpful with bookings and genuinely happy when I came back in after passing each test. I really could not recommend NLMT more. They were brilliant, start to finish.

staff are amazing booked my A2 and was given a warm welcome by 3 lovely ladies in the CBT office and a free rider assessment.

My experience at NLMT was nothing short of outstanding. The instructors' passion for motorcycles and commitment to safety created an engaging and supportive learning environment. The A2 license training program was comprehensive, covering essential skills and advanced maneuvers. Thanks to their personalized feedback, I passed both A2 modules on my first attempt!

Wow ! What a brilliant day doing my Compulsory Motorcycle Training with Snowy from North London Motorcycle Training at the Fullerian Rugby Club in Watford. Snowy is a very patient man, three of his pupils did not turn up properly attired with little protection against the cold let alone tarmac. One pupil had a beaten up borrowed helmet that was way too big and another without helmet or gloves at all, despite this Snowy took us through all the basic training and riding skills in good humour and at a good pace. Riding under instruction on the road inspired plenty of confidence as I got used to riding a motorbike for the first time since 1986. Importantly finished full of enthusiasm for the next step on a long journey and can't wait to get a bit more experience on L plates on the way to eventually getting a full bike licence. Can't recommend North London Motor Cycle Training highly enough.

NLMT IS FANTASTIC!!!

I am an experienced Harley Davidson rider with a full HongKong License but due to tedious DVSA administrative policies and paper work I had to undergo full DAS to get an an A unrestricted category. I was recommended by my Harley friends to contact NLMT as being the best in class. I called them up and the ladies at the reception provided a fantastic summary of what, how and when I can get my UK A License I simply followed the NLMT plan and trusted the process -
- Did a CBT with Eugene
- Mod1 with Eugene
- Mod2 with Pedro
Passed Mod2 with a zero fault
I must say that Eugene is one of the best guy at NLMT. He will guide you in a very succinct manner and will ensure you are pushing your boundaries. He’s gonna make you a perfect and a safe rider. On Mod1 test day we had 30 min gap before the test and he managed to take me to an old building area near the test centre and asked me to practice once more all the maneuvers. Mod2 day was with Pedro, very clear instructions and will remind you every minute detail. In summary I managed to get a UK A license and looking to ride my Harley Fatboy in UK and Europe! Can’t really wait
A few tips from me for the new riders
- Listen to your instructors carefully and ask questions if any doubts
- If you have a bike practice practice practice- roundabouts, correct position, lane discipline, plan ahead, observe speed limits, 2 second for dry and 4 second gap for dry and wet roads - most important.
- From red signal don’t be in a rush to push your bike, slowly pick up/check mirrors
- Blind spots and shoulder checks - do a lot
- Visit the test centre in advance if possible and ride or drive in all the roads to familiarize yourself with the roads, bends, speed limits etc
- last 5 min of the test until you park your bike are most crucial. Don’t let loose your guard ensure you enter the test centre at the end nicely no cutting of lanes, switch off, park it with helmets and gloves off
- Even if you fail don’t loose your heart, work it up and reflect on your mistakes, take feedback from the examiner and thank them
-Lastly enjoy your ride, remember motorbike is fun but comes with risks so never compromise on safety

These guys are amazing. I took my CBT today having never driven on the road before. I was nervous and anxious and prepared to fail.

I had 2 lessons before my CBT, one with Eugene and the other with Alex.

Between them they they took a novice and turned me into a safe rider who now has confidence and a CBT certificate.

The whole team were absolutely lovely and I cannot thank them enough.

Deyan was my instructor today and his calm, professional demeanour got me through the course with flying colours.

I cannot thank them enough, they were all wonderful.

I highly recommend them all and will be forever grateful to them for giving me the freedom and independence of being able to ride around on my own.

I will be returning to take further courses and improve my motorcycling journey.

Trying to find a training school was so difficult I ended up wasting my cash at one in Hertfordshire. Then I found NLMT .

The whole experience was amazing. I passed Mod 1 and 2 a few hiccups on the way but the instructors are so supportive and amazing I was made to feel on top of the world.

Every single person in this building are friendly and welcoming.

Great experience taking my CBT through MOD1 and MOD2 test with NLMT. All the reception team are great, friendly and make sure you are on time for everything. The instructors (especially Ricky, Eugene and Pedro) were brilliant. Passed MOD1 and MOD2 first time, but mainly down to their rigour and tuition.

This is my 3rd CBT with NLMT and have always found them very professional. I renewed my CBT today and all the instructors were very informative and informal at the same time. Also would like to give Snowy (Karl) a massive shout out when he took me and another rider (on our own bikes) for our ride around Edgware and the local areas he made me feel relaxed, comfortable and confident to ride on the road and out in traffic. Also would like to thank the admin for the unexpected discount given to me as I work for the NHS .
