Love all of the stuff I get from these guys. On the odd occasion I have an issue, usually with the delivery company, their support is great at helping resolve it.

Having been a big fan and purchaser of Northern Monk beer since they began, this review gives me little pleasure. I attended a brewery tour recently which included 3 thirds of ale in the price. The first two were to drink on the hourlong brewery tour. Bar staff were pulling the drinks when I informed them I didn’t drink the pale or citrus ales they were preparing. I asked if they could be substituted for the two dark beers they had from a range of around 15 or 16. As other people left with 2 separate thirds of ale I was presented with only half a pint of dark stout. I asked why I was given less than everyone else and the bar staff told me only one dark beer was available and it was stronger than the other unavailable one so I was given less. They told me there was a “cost implication” and refused to top the glass up to the two third level. Penny pinching and mean are words that spring to mind, but I followed the rest of my party with my small measure. I hope you are proud Northern Monk. My party was joined by other family members after the tour and spent over £200 in your pub. On reflection, I am sure you realise this was a very poor way to treat one of your very first customers from when you began trading.

Unfortunately NM were let down by their courier, in that the majority of my recent order was never delivered to me. The only information I could get from the courier was 'there is a problem'. After about a week I contacted NM, who contacted their courier, but NM were unable to glean any further information. After a few more days (and in the circumstances (I had wanted for a birthday that had since passed) I suggested that NM provide me with a full refund of my order, which to their credit they did.
