Affordable surgery to improve my quality of life, without the wait

After initial prostate and bladder checks I was fitted with a long term catheter.
Upon further scans and a biopsy I was diagnosed with an enlarged prostate with benign growths.
I was informed by the urologist that I required HoLEP surgery to be catheter free. I was put on the NHS waiting list, which was two years. The urologist also gave me his contact details to get a quote for private treatment that had a six week waiting list.
I had previously conducted some internet research into the possibility of HoLEP surgery abroad and found the details for Nordmed Tour. Upon contacting Ilva (Nordmed Tour), I received a reply within a couple of hours to exchange further medical details.
I then received a quote for the HoLEP surgery procedure, with further details of the itinerary length of stay at Riga 1st Hospital and the details of the surgeon. I was able to adjust the quote to suit extra days in Riga to aid my recovery before flying back to the UK, this was finalised with a video call with Ilva Urbanovica (Nordmed Tour)
The price for the procedure with Nordmed Tour was less than a third of the price quoted for private treatment in the UK.
I am very pleased with the results and my recovery and would recommend Nordmed Tour.
I departed the UK from Stansted Airport with a catheter fitted and nine days later returned from Riga Airport catheter free.
