Absolutely delicious quality pasta
Absolutely delicious pasta - I just find it very frustrating that you can’t choose your dishes more than one week in advance. I’d love to be able to plan the whole month and know what’s coming. Also annoying that once you pick a certain number of dishes they then get sent every week. An app would be useful!

You're right that at the moment you can only lock in your dish choices one week ahead, even though our menus are actually visible around 4 weeks in advance - so there's definitely room to make forward planning easier. It's also true that if no changes are made, the same selection repeats each week by default, which we know isn't ideal for everyone. The good news is, that with our website launch in September it will give a lot more functionality and will allowyou to make all your choices for the weeks ahead in one go!

Family favourite - minimum effort, maximum yum!…
Been eating delicious Nonna Tonda meals weekly for a couple of years now and enjoyed every one - we usually make it for our Friday ‘quick n easy’ pasta dinner and it always feels like such a treat to cook such fresh and tasty meals so quickly with zero mental effort! Our freezer is now full of Nonna Tonda parcels that we reach for any time we have a lazy/rushed evening. And the kids love the ravioli and DIY pizza :) Plus it’s so handy to have the packaging collected the following week to be reused.

Keep on calling about a subscription cancelled four years ago
They keep on calling asking why a subscription was cancelled four years ago in spite of being told multiple time to remove phone number and private data from their listing. I have now placed a complaint with the ICO, for anyone interested in doing the same - check ICO org uk website to do the same and stop them.

Thank you for sharing this, in addition to the email we have just sent you and I'm sorry for this experience in relation to a duplicate account you had on file, one account had it's data removed while one did not, however you're right to be frustrated, and this shouldn't have happened, particularly after being told multiple times that it had been resolved. We take data protection seriously, and I've personally taken ownership of getting your details permanently and fully removed from every system we hold, with written confirmation to follow directly (please see email sent earlier today). We fully respect your right to raise this with the ICO and will always cooperate fully with them. I'm sorry this has been your experience with us.
We are now regular customers
We have been ordering Nonna Tonda for about three months now. All the dishes we have chosen have been consistently delicious and the portion sizes are good for two people. I always add some extra green vegetables and sometimes frozen peas as well to increase the fibre content of the meal. You do have to remember to cancel weeks each month as otherwise too much pasta would be delivered and we only want one delivery per month which is not the default setting. This is a minor inconvenience as it is easy to skip deliveries and if you are a regular customer you would be looking on the website anyway to choose your dishes. The meals freeze well and it is great to have delicious ready meals occasionally which are not mass produced and much more economical than going out to an Italian restaurant for pasta! Keep up the good work!

First time ordering nonna tonda pizza, glad I did. Was one of the best pizzas I have had. The base was great, and so easy to make. Very impressed. Usually order the pasta dishes anyway and they are lovely with proper ingredients. Would definitely recommend if you love authentic Italian.

Signed up for the subscription at a local fayre. But decided it wasn’t for me. There is no way of cancelling through the web site so I emailed and asked to cancel but no response and a new delivery scheduled. I have emailed again so hopefully this time they will cancel my account

The pasta is fine, it's expensive and small portion, but it's a small step above Rana.
However, predatory subscription processes mean I would never use or recommend them:
1) We were signed up at a pop-up shop, at no point were we asked to consent to marketing materials.
2) The cancel button on the website doesn't actually cancel; you need to email or phone between 9-5 weekdays.
3) Worse still, once you cancel, the company hounds you with emails and phone calls to ask why. They call from individual mobile numbers and do not leave messages.

On marketing consent, you're right that this should always be explicitly opted into, and I'm sorry if that wasn't made clear at the pop-up. On the cancel button, this is something that we are looking into developing and updated in line with new legislation coming in next year and I can understand how that alone would feel like a deliberate barrier. In regards to the follow up calls; as a small company it is always really helpful for us to get more specific feedback and we would always rather do this over the phone where possible, however I am sorry it was inconvenient.
Feedback of this nature is crucial to share with our team, as they point to real issues with consent, cancellation, and post-cancellation contact that go well beyond a one-off mistake. Thank you for taking the time to write this out in full rather than just walking away quietly - it's genuinely useful, even if it hasn't earned your recommendation.

I have tried this company twice now and have been let down both times. The first time, two accounts were made under my profile so I was being charged x2 and getting more pasta than we could eat in the week. I cancelled after this. I got a phone call from the company asking for another chance and 40% discount. I thought the customer service was excellent so agreed to give it another shot. It’s only been the second week and I’m having to cancel again. I was given the wrong sauce for my pasta. Unfortunately, the attention to detail has been very poor from Nonna Tonda.

I haven’t found the pasta special
I haven’t found the pasta special, I’m afraid. The crab and leek pasta tasted quite basic and wasn’t anything out of the ordinary.
I cook regularly using high-quality ingredients, so that may influence my expectations, but I found there wasn’t enough sauce and the overall flavour was underwhelming.
The pasta also doesn’t keep well in the fridge for a few days, which I don’t think should be the case. If you’re ordering meals for the week, they should remain enjoyable for several days.
I was also concerned that the box wasn’t sealed with tape, making it an easy target for tampering during delivery.
Overall, I think the company needs to improve the portion sizes, packaging, and overall value. In my opinion, a meal for two (two meals ) would be fairly priced at around £15, including delivery.

Regarding storage, our meals are intended to be enjoyed within 2-3 days to ensure they are fresh and in the best quality. As we make everything fresh with no preservatives, the products must be enjoyed within this time frame.
We also understand your concern about the packaging, we would like to reassure you that all of our pasta, sauces, and garnishes are in sealed bags and the box is used just for protective measures. We really appreciate the feedback about using a protective seal and I will pass this on to the team, just to provide you with some peace of mind the boxes are designed not to open in transit.

The pasta is ok, but quite one dimensional. For the cost we did expect a bit more, but the most frustrating thing is once you start, if you don’t religiously check in and update, it just selects an option for you. We went with a vegetarian options for the first week as the options weren’t inspiring, then we got vegetarian again. We seem only able to choose pasta when the pizza and risotto look good. Overall it hasn’t been a good experience and we will not be returning. As this was a birthday gift for me, it has also disappointed the purchaser!
