We've had NOMOROBO for about 3 years on…

We've had NOMOROBO for about 3 years on our landline. I tell everyone I know to get it. I hear the phone ring just once at least 5 or 6 times a day. All legitimate calls from doctors or pharmacies or local police emergencies go through with normal amount of rings. No problems at all signing up, it took less than a minute to register three numbers. I can't believe something that works so well is free. I think 5 bucks a month is pricy for the service on cell phones, but I never answer unrecognized numbers on my cell. If it's important, that's what voicemail is for.

NOMOROBO IS NO GOOD..DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME!

We been receiving tons of robocalls day and night, and it's literally driving us crazy. So, we called Verizon Fios to let them know about the problem my household was having with these damn robocalls, and they told us to use Nomorobo.
Of course we tried to sign up by using our landline phone, and that crap kept giving us an error code talking bout we're having difficulty at this present time, call your phone carrier, in which we did, and then they told us they couldn't do anything about that, and to contact the website for further help. I emailed the Nomorobo website about a month ago, and they said someone will be contacting you shortly due to high volume of emails they're receiving. A month and half later, we still ain't get a response from them. So, in closing, NOMOROBO IS A FAILURE. IT WOULDN'T WORK IN MY HOUSEHOLD, AND I ADVISE EVERYONE ELSE NOT TO USE THE PROGRAM. Verizon should take that crap off their webpage because it is useless.

We just let the phone ring, and if the number is unknown, or not recognizable. Is there another phone app or program to use to stop these robocalls?

New Client

Signed up for this 4 days ago. So far it's blocking most solicitors. Went on the website today to rat out 2 more solicitation phone numbers that nomorobo did not have in their list yet. Subscribers are encouraged to do that. If you are not willing to report a few numbers now and then, this probably isn't for you.
This is our landline we're talking about. I think it's a good service. Now I can shower in peace!

In past 3 days have received 15 calls…

In past 3 days have received 15 calls from a wide variety of locations, area codes. All phony calls. Nomorobo does not seem to be working for me for most calls ring 4 times, supposed to stop at one? Some numbers are repeat.

Guess I should be grateful for a couple weeks ago got 23 calls in one day! Surely thee is a way to stop these heartless loons.

I'd like to send the complete page of the numbers instead of one at a time to Do Not Call list which doesn't work either.

Money refund by Chargeback. To be refunded in full after the FTC ICC fraud charges!

Everyone, you can easily get your money back from this crappy company. Any and all funds will be returned by filing an FTC, Internet fraud claims to the FBI ICC, file a dispute with your bank afterwards and they’ll automatically rule in your favor if you print out the report. This company falsely advertises sponsors who don’t even know who they are, their capabilities and service agreement. They even have the worst FAKE REVIEWS on their site. So company is robbing you of your personal info and judging by the site itself, it appears ran by people in a different country. I’m filing suit although there’s a good chance the “business” itself is about as legit as the robo calls they are behind, or so I heard. I also heard once they had a number they would intentionally send some preblocked calls your way to make it appear like it’s working. They let through their own robo calls or robo calls who pay them a fee to get though. Then they use your data to sell to the scammers if they know which robo calls you are most likely to give in to! Robo call blocker? More like the robo call master. Listen up people, website is a bogus fraud! Dispute all charges and file the ICC complaint at the very least.

I have been a nomorobo user for over…

I have been a nomorobo user for over two years and have been extremely satisfied until 2 months ago when the call blocking failed completely. All calls were getting through. I contacted my telecom provider, XFINITY, and inquired why nomorobo had failed. I learned that XFINITY had undergone a software change which affected some of my account features. The xfinity associate helped me reinstall the nomorobo feature step by step on my telecom account and everything is now working perfectly. Of course, the spoofed calls still get through, but I just report those calls to nomorobo and never have to worry about them again. Overall, I rate nomorobo as an excellent tool. I get abount 10 one-ring calls every day, so I know nomorobo is still working.

I have been using this product on my…home phone landline.

I have been using this product on my phone for the past year. It has blocked some spam, scam and robo calls but it is far from perfect. I report calls to nomorobo when they come in so that they can be added to the block list. I had one just today that I googled the number and nomorobo had it flagged as "do not answer" yet I still received the call on my phone. It seems that the scammers and spammers are miles ahead of the nomorobo team in generating these harassing phone calls and nomorobo can't, apparently keep up with blocking these calls.

Nomorobo is nearly useless in stopping…

Nomorobo is nearly useless in stopping robocalls. IMO, they are committing fraud when they advertise on their site: "No more annoying robocalls and telemarketers" because they are blocking only about 1 in 20 robocalls on the average. I've been using them for a couple of years and the number of calls that they block has gone WAY down to the point of nomorobo being nearly useless. In addition, they REFUSE to put certain numbers on their block list which leads me to believe that they are in league with the spammers now.

NOMOROBO works!

We report the calls that come thru. We get many 1 ring calls a day. We don't move til it rings 2-3 times. If even then one gets thru we see the caller ID and don't answer, and then report it.

It really works! But limited only by the limitless use of Fake spoofed numbers that will change constantly.

Thank you for being invented. Once I became a member of NOMOROBO.COM Services, the amount of robe-calls and telemarketing calls was reduced dramatically. I get one ring, then no more for any number that is in the Nomorobo data list... The reason you get one ring is that when a telemarketer calls, it simultaneously rings at Nomorobo, who then determines if its a listed number in their database, and if so, it sends a digital code to disconnect the call from you carrier. I happily await the one ring and youre gone calls.

BUT fair warning... Robo Callers are getting smarter... they are beginning to use Spoofed numbers (fake numbers used and not used) for your caller ID... so when you report them NoMoRoBo may or may not block them since some Caller ID numbers are actually REAL people whose numbers are "robbed" and used by robocallers. These spoofed numbers can be randomly generated so that each robocalled can keep calling and using a new Caller ID number each time, making a block nearly impossible. Still it's the best game in town to minimize unwanted calls.

Better Solution: Complain to your Telecom to come up with better ways to stop these calls. For example tell them they may easily use digital coding, to prevent the stripping of a real number that is calling you, by adding another data field (likely encrypted, to prevent hacking and changing) in the MetaData set sent with each call to the telecom switch to be used in conjunction with the Caller ID number... so if the Caller ID metadata field does not match the actual encrypted phone number calling you, which is listed in a new encrypted Metadata field set along with the call to the telecom switch, the failure of the comparison of the spoofed phone number to the real number should prevent fake numbers from getting to your phone. Simple solution... programming cost estimate to be less than 10,000 for all carriers.

no follow through on my reports of robo callers once they took my money.

During free trial on cellphone they were pretty good at tagging robo callers after I reported them. After Nomorobo took my money on a paid subscription it seems like they are ignoring my reports. Service is utterly worthless and a waste of money. Only adds to the frustration of dealing with the flood of unwanted calls from criminal organizations. Will definitely not renew my subscription to Nomorobo.

NoMoRobo was hacked

NoMoRobo was hacked. All calls were intercepted by a recording that said , English press 1. If you pressed 1- it was a telemarking response. I checked xfinity call detail and saw valid numbers attempting to reach us, followed by 202.831.1600. Our phone would ring one time (no caller Id) then stop.
I tried calling the 202 number this morning and it says the number is not set up.
We removed NoMoRobo as I don’t feel comfortable with cloud services that have a high potential of being hacked.
