Great experience with No1 Fires. Very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. The installation was efficient and completed to a high standard. An especially lovely touch was that Danny visited us the day following the installation to confirm we were happy with everything. Big thank you to Danny and his team. We had a really good experience with purchase & installation at No 1 fires. Dan was really helpful and accommodating to our needs and reservations, he managed to get us set up just in time for the Christmas period. He gained our trust and what’s important is that I have confidence that he will continue to offer wonderful customer service should we need his engineering help in the future.

The company spent time ensuring we had the fire and surround that we wanted. The fitters were professional and friendly.

We had our chimney condemned and wanted to replace our existing redundant log burner with an electric fire. Dan gave us lots of helpful advice and completed all repairs and installation himself,and we are delighted with the standard of work and our new fire.

After looking around I was recommended No1 and I felt the need to leave a review. We had a wood burner installed and was really impressed with the whole service. Danny walked me through the whole process and was really helpful as wasn’t sure which option would be most suitable. Job was done quick and tidy will definitely use again.

Recently engaged Dan and team at No 1 Fires to supply and fit a balanced flue gas fire.
This was one of the best decisions in home improvements I've ever made.
Starting with the ' showroom' experience. Dan was courteous, respectful and friendly. He patiently explained the options available to us which made it easy to decide our requirements.
From that point forward the communication from Dan explaining delivery and timelines was excellent. Even down to a by the minute notification of his arrival at our house for survey/consultation then the work itself.
To the job itself. As said arrival was to the minute prompt. Preparation, including dust/ protection sheets for furniture and oak floors was comprehensive, then the installation of the new appliance, including substantial works to the fabric of the building/flue aperture, the removal of the old appliance and the clearing up, testing and demonstration was of the highest professional standard.
Highly recommended without reservation.

I was very in pressed the served I revived my fire would not light but they managed to get it going and now works really well if I need it serviced again I will use them again they did a advice me that my fire was not great so might think of getting it replaced so definitely would use them in the future for new fire I felt confident it what they said and the advice they gave

I needed apart for my 14 year old gas fire. Dan managed to source the part for me (from abroad) and now I finally have my fire working again. Wonderful service. It was not an easy part to get!!! Would definitely recommend

No. 1 Fires originally booked me in for a date & time window to attend for the job, and then confirmed the appointment in advance.
And to update that their company representative, Sam was on his way to my home address.
Sam arrived timely and proceeded to lay covers on my flooring areas for protection.
Sam was very courteous and professional and on inspection of the job informed me that the flue had an inner lining that did not require any attention apart from brushing away some loose debris, which he then carried out.
It was so refreshing to have such an honest workman and I am so pleased to have picked your company.
I will certainly contact you in the future if I have any other issues.

We engaged No1 fires on the recommendation of a neighbour to replace an old Jetmaster with a new modern Danish wood burner. It is an old property and whilst the design of the stove is quite modern it actually fits in really well with the room.
The installation however was not as straight forward as we and Dan had hoped. It necessitated the removal of a couple of rows of old bricks and the installation of a lintel to support the remaining fireplace. Also, the existing clay lined chimney had some loose and broken lining and on subsequent inspection was found to not as straight as first thought, making some removal of old lining essential to enable the new stainless liner to be installed.
All of the above added a delay to the completion of the installation which neither party wanted but in the end we have a first-rate installation for the amount we were quoted.
Well done Dan and the team and I have no hesitation in recommending your services to anyone. Just make sure you all know what might be involved in advance!
