Arya Bhavan, Tooting South Indian Vegetarian restaurant

This is a vegetarian restaurant We went there on for my birthday to have a family meal together
Reasonably good layout for a disabled person with crutches to be seated and they were comfortable
Service was good, and given menus and starters were ordered which arrived fairly quickly. The food was served hot and looked good, however samosas were nice and crispy but disappointed with the filling and flavour overall. Samosa chaat didn't have a lot of topping/garnishing and flavour underwhelming, lacked dahi and tamarind
The paneer was salty, the honey chilly potatoes were piping hot and lovely, nice flavour with spice and sweetness
Then I ordered a North Indian Thali and guest ordered various mains and rice dishes
I was presented with a corn soup which was corn kernels in a thick jelatinous liquid
It had no flavour, spice or any real seasoning to it, so just tasted of sweetcorn and jelly. I've never seen this ever on any Indian restaurant
The thali had good selection of curries which were all salty, some more than others. I opted for puri which were very nice
Other guests ordered bhathura ehich was a size of a face, and chapati which looked like a very flat naan cooked in tandoori, and no butter on it so felt dry and crispy
For dessert one ordered gulag jamun and got 2 pieces, another ordered gulab jamun with ice cream and a got one gulab jamun. Chai had no masala
We didn't complain about the salty food,
So within our group everyone felt underwhelmed by the whole experience and quality although portions were reasonable. We didn't complain but will not be a returning customer anytime soon
Our bill for 4 was £128 incl service charge
So budget £25-£30 per person
