A Totally Unprofessional Company and Ignorant when things go wrong
We paid for a One-Off Rebuild Custom Website Package and have had the worst ever customer service experience. Since parting with our money upfront for this project, the redesign that was shown to us was extremely poor and uninspiring and nowhere near as good as the impressive web site that we had already in place.
They agreed to replicate, but chose dull and uninspiring elements with shaded filters. We were promised a cleaner, faster and enhanced performance of the web site, while keeping the look and feel that we had in place.
After the first two drafts were presented, we expressed our dissatisfaction at the styling, plus the web designers complete liberty to change the editorial text that we had in place, introducing new headline and also introducing bogus elements like the number of Customers, which was a totally fabricated figure of how many tours we had undertaken in the past, without any form of foundation and completely pulled out the air by them without any consultation with ourselves. You can image the damage had we allowed that to be published if we had been challenged legally by anyone in the know!
Their use of our images was also extremely poorly presented and were inferior to the originals that we had provided. They missed important product elements out in their presentation of the draft web site – which beggars belief when you are simply copying and replicating something that is live and published for them to work with. Their layout was poor and not as appealing and with all of these elements not coming anywhere near what we already had live on line , their response was that we were told to go away and provide a ‘one shot’ all content that needs no amending.
Our point was, we had simply said replicate what we have, along with the extra enhancements that were promised. But this very simple task has been a complete failure and their ability to follow simple instructions has led to a case of ‘Chinese whispers’ from our contact, to the actual web design team. It has led to our total dissatisfaction at our end and their customer service borders on ignorance since we raised our issues.
Just for the record, they acknowledged that we already had a very professional looking web site and they claimed that they could enhance our on line presence with a number of benefits. So far in over 9 months, we have not seen anything further from this company other than the home page draft.
So given their ignorance and lack of interest in our project after paying for their services, we have news that we are presenting our communication logs to Trading Standards, who no doubt will take their own course of investigative action.
Be very wary paying this company any money up front as they make like of promises, but have failed to deliver anything, apart from a draft home page, that when presented, was so poor and inferior to what we already had in place with our original web site. Their work was totally unimpressive, uninspiring and a failure to listen and action their promises has led to us requesting a refund, which they now refuse to communicate over. Nimbus Digital have appeared to have cut us off from all communication, hoping we would just go away
There are so many more better and supportive web designers out there. We have been involved in many web site overalls over 15 years with a number of different web designers and Nimbus Digital rank about the worst experience possible and despite several emails regarding us getting refunded, not one single response has come from this company.
It’s a totally unacceptable experience all round and not a very professional way to operate, given the way that they position themselves on their web site.
