Amazing bespoke and personalised service — they went above and beyond. The bottle of whisky I ordered had a tiny rip in the gift box it came with, but the team emailed me quickly to show it to me before they sent it out — when I replied saying it was absolutely fine, it was posted out mere hours later, arrived quickly, and is extremely tasty to boot. Disappointing aftercare.
I purchased a bottle of wine which was £45 . It was almost 60 years old and I know you take a risk it might be undrinkable which it was.
However the cork was black and damaged and obvious to any wine merchant that the wine would not be fit for purpose.
The add merely said “ shabby label”no mention that there was a high risk of damage because of age and condition of the cork. Why mention a label and not the damaged cork.
I asked for a full refund hoping to receive half the costs or a bottle of any red wine!!
Answer was short to the point what did I expect with the age and price of it. Sold as seen . And Happy Christmas ! I didn’t see the bottle you did.
Had I seen the bottle I would not have purchased.
I wasn’t worried about”a shabby label “
I am no connoisseur of wine just an 82 year old pensioner trying to surprise her son on his birthday and they knew it was a present.
To avoid the embarrassment to myself they should have just emailed to make me aware of the obvious risk he couldn’t drink it.
