I I recently ordered the Hydrangea Earrings, and they arrived completely defective, the flower element on one earring was glued on crookedly, making them totally asymmetrical and unwearable. When I reached out to customer service with a photo of the factory defect, I was met with rigid, unhelpful policies. Despite sending proof of the poor craftsmanship, they refused to provide a prepaid return shipping label, claiming that because they are a 'small family business,' they don't have an automated system for it. Instead, they expect the customer to pay upfront for international tracked shipping back to the UK, risk the business denying the fault upon inspection, and jump through hoops marking customs forms down to a nominal value. A small business should take pride in quality control and stand behind their products when a mistake happens. Expecting a customer to fund the return of a damaged item upfront just to get a refund is completely unacceptable. Save your money and shop elsewhere.

We were not unwilling to help, nor did we refuse to resolve a genuine fault. The photo sent to us was extremely blurry and did not clearly show the structural defect being described. From the image provided, we could not confidently confirm that the earrings were defective, damaged or “totally asymmetrical and unwearable”.
We also want to clarify that this style does not have a separate flower element glued onto the earring. The floral part is one solid piece, so this was another reason we needed either a clearer photo or to inspect the earrings in person before confirming the nature of the fault.
We asked for clearer photos so we could better understand the issue, but no further images were provided. As we were unable to confirm the fault from the photo alone, and you were unwilling to send more photos, we explained that we would need to inspect the earrings in person before confirming whether there was a structural issue.
As a small family business, we take quality control incredibly seriously. If an item is faulty, we will always put it right. However, we do need a fair opportunity to either see the issue clearly or inspect the item properly before confirming a fault.
We explained that we are not currently set up with an automated prepaid international return label system, which is something larger retailers may have. We also explained that if the earrings were returned and confirmed as faulty, we would reimburse the reasonable return postage costs and arrange the appropriate resolution.
The advice to mark the parcel as “Returned Goods” and declare a nominal value is standard guidance for international returns. This is simply to avoid import duties being charged again on goods being returned to us, rather than sold.
We are always fair when it comes to faulty goods, and if an item is genuinely faulty, we will always do our best to put it right. However, we do need a fair opportunity to review the issue, either through clear images before the item is returned, or by inspecting the earrings in person once they arrive back with us.
In this case, the image provided did not allow us to clearly confirm the fault being described, which is why we asked for clearer photos or, alternatively, for the earrings to be returned for inspection. Our offer to review the earrings properly and resolve the matter fairly still stands.

The earrings are a really beautiful design, so well done to the clever designer! Love the size of the bow and pearl too, they are bold without being overly ‘costumey’. Quality looks top notch.
