ESET License via ESET Online Store / Run by Nexway / Stay Away

Avoid purchasing / extending an ESET antivirus license from their online store managed by Nexway at ANY COST.
I purchased a license for 9 seats last year and then added one seat.
Suddenly this year my ESET showed that I only had a license for one seat.
I tried to solve this issue with the Nexway support but they were extremely unresponsive.
Finally I decided to buy an entirely new license for ten seats since I need to protect my computers and cannot wait for a month hoping someone competent solves the issue for me.

Then I applied for a refund for the remaining subscription time of the previously bought 9 seat license and 1 seat license.
Ten days ago the Nexway support promised to get back within 3 days and even though I followed up now for 3 times I did not get any feedback nor refund.

In the past, when I bought my ESET license via a local reseller in Hong Kong there was never the slightest issue.
I will for sure not extend my ESET license via Nexway (i.e. via the ESET home portal where the subscriptions are managed by Nexway) but only from a domestic reseller.

Reading the other comments here, it seems that defrauding customers by having a non existing or non-responding support is a systematic approach of Nexways to increase their bottom line.

Be very carful when dealing with Nexway

I paid for 12 months of VPN pro in October 2024 and it should run till October 2025 but it says it expired Jan 2025..

When I log in it says;

Subscription number : 12850605
Product : Opera VPN Pro annual
Status : Suspended
Start date : 10/5/2024
Expiration date : 10/12/2025

But when I try to turn the VPN on it says "Expired: 25 Jan 2025"

I have reported this time after time and the best reply I've had yet was;

you have paid till October 2025 so it should be working"

Seriously, that is what I'm telling you but you don't even look to correct the issue.. still it does not work, just says manage subscription and takes me back to "Expired: 25 Jan 2025" they are no help at all, take your money and don't provide the what you pay for..

** your company was shocking, I sent you many emails and at first you were replying to me but soon as your staff member didn't know how to fix the issue you stopped emailing me, you ignored me for weeks and left me angry and frustrated with a product that did not work and you kept my money..

I contacted opera who stepped in, looked at the issue and decided to step in.. if it was not for Opera I'd still be begging your company to fix the tech issue..

regardless of what you say you were horrible to deal with, did not deal with issues and were the most shocking customer service possible!

They received money, but want a photo of my passport!

I filled an application, gave credit card number, money were withdrawn, but I receive the following request: "While the transaction itself may have been processed on your payment method, the order per se is still pending on our end due to security concerns. ... Please provide us a scan or photo via email, of one of the documents below, belonging to the person who made the purchase :...

I have never seen so reckless requests to send a sensitive information by unsecured e-mail ... and, by the way, the amount of $$ involved is so low that touch-less pay would go thru in any shop without a pin! So, I have not received the payed product. Customer service has not helped at all - very sophisticated sequence of fully automatic responses just ended up with repeating the same request....

Edit: My comments after the company posted their response below: there is no point of following up because you had sent e-mail stating my order was cancelled -- a few hours before you posted your response here. Left hand does no know what right hand is doing? Furthermore, the e-mail was 'shy': it just stated my order was cancelled and it did not mention that money were returned or that you are sorry for inconvenience. Moreover, the company does not allow a PayPal or a similar payment option, which does not involve sharing credit card #, real address, real name, etc. with yet another company, which may be broken into and loose personal information. So, no thank you I will not order anything from you!

Don't trust Nexway

I downloaded, by accident, 3 copies of Kaspersky. I cancelled the unwanted copies and received confirmation from Kaspersky that they had been cancelled and I would receive my refunds within 7 days. Two months later - still no refunds. Numerous emails to Kaspersky and Nexway are ignored or I am told they are working on a solution! It all seems like a scam.

Follow up based on Nexway reply.
I initially tried using the suggested link - for their help desk. However, It was a very frustrating experience, with no real help. Any further requests for assistance just resulted in an automated response - in fact I received three of these - all identical. After two months it looks like I might eventually receive my refund - but only after writing numerous emails, making several phone calls and finally submitting a chargeback request to my credit card company.

Given the length of time taken to resolve this and the amount of personal time spent trying to get answers, I see no reason to award any more than one start for customer service - and that's generous!

Full year purchase now no access

I paid for Kaspersky in February for a full year.

I have the invoice, there is no 20 digit activation code but every time I try to login it asks for the code.

If you try contact Kaspersky/Nexway a stupid automated response runs around in circles

I will never purchase this software again

Very poor customer service

Very poor customer service. I did try to cancel my auto renewal and get refund through Kaspersky but they always hang up on me or kick me out of the chat. It's just another modern day con. Be careful people stay away from nexway and Kaspersky. Hopefully i will be able ro block these transactions from my bank account. Not happy!

Updated my Kaspersky Internet Security…

Updated my Kaspersky Internet Security but the payment went through this outfit. It was set to auto-renew. So I knew straight away that I didn't want auto-renew so I tried to go into my Kaspersky account to manage my susbscriptions, which sent me to Nexway. I have no way of signing in, so I can't cancel the auto-renew. I wondered if I didn't have the right password to sign in and so I clicked on a "Forgot Password" link. I received no email to reset my password. This was on a Sunday.

So Monday morning, I use the Nexway chat facility and tell them I cannot get into my account and I want to because I want to cancel the Auto Renew. The first question I am asked is "Why do I want to cancel"....

So I simply tell them I don't want Auto-renew, and I explain I received no email from them regarding my password and they said that I need to create an account first and I should have received an email asking me to do that. Of course I hadn't received that.

The assistant (Shirley) tells me that she has cancelled the autorenew and I said I still want to have access to my account and it was almost "why, I have already cancelled it for you" and I'm like 'well, I need to check that for myself'....

She then said that she will send me a confirmation email that the account auto-renew has been set to off and that'll take 24 hours.

She said she'd resend that confirmation email link to create an account and all I received was a confirmation email that I'll get email notifications.....

I've come online and all I read on TrustPilot is bad reviews....

So I'm smelling a rat here and I've been a Kaspersky account holder for many, many years (like 15 iirc).

I'd be very wary of watching my bank account with this outfit. I haven't received emails from them and this is financial transactions we're talking about, so their emailing system seems very fishy.

And yes, I have checked my spam folders - I have received no emails from these people (apart from that one incorrect one).

Stole my money

I tried to purchase a game from 2 different websites (3 times in total). Each time I was given an error message that my creditcard was not accepted. I later found out that (despite the error and no delivery) the money was withdrawn from my bankaccount all three times. I contacted the websites who told me to contact Nexway, who manages the payment and delivery. They dont even answer my mails.
