I recently ordered an Apple Watch from Refurbed.dk and received a confirmation email soon after, with my payment being promptly processed. Initially, I was excited to receive a notification that my order was on its way. However, my excitement turned to disappointment the following day when I received an email stating that due to an error, my order had been cancelled and that a refund was being issued.
While I appreciate that Refurbed.dk communicated with me about the cancellation (hence my giving two stars instead of one), I was frustrated by the situation. It seems problematic to sell products that are not actually available, which suggests a need for better inventory management. After the cancellation, I reached out to inquire about alternative products that might meet my requirements in terms of features and price, but unfortunately, no alternatives or compensation were offered.
Good customer service, in my opinion, would involve taking responsibility for the error and actively working to rectify the situation to balance out the negative experience they've created. An offer of an alternative product or some form of compensation would have significantly enhanced my experience, demonstrating true customer care - yet here we are.
EDIT: Even before this review was released, I got an email from refurbed.dk, who apologized and we entered a dialogue. Big shoutout to Christian from refurbed.dk who handled my case and provided excellent customer service. He helped me locate alternative products at similar rate as the one that got cancelled - and it all worked out in the end. I can say that this level of customer service is rare and I will recommend refurbed to anyone.
