Renting bikes

We tried to rent bikes in Melk,Austria. We had read about a great bike ride along the Danube after visiting the Melk Monastery. I had the app and was going to register prior to getting there. However, we are from the US and when we tried to put the phone number in with country code- would not work. I will say customer service answered and helped us - gave us a random pin to move forward. I thought we were good. However, when we put in the credit card, it would never connect. We tried 3 different cards. I called customer service again and he said sometimes this happens. Needless to say we did not get bikes and ended up having to go back to Vienna.

Horrible experience.

Horrible experience.
- Unable to register and pay for a long time
- Reader not working
- Bikes getting stuck
- Returning the bike at correct zone still gets you charged
- Chasing you for 1 dollar debt
- You pay 5 dollars more, twice but they don't register it and still chase you

I would recommend to use their app in…

I would recommend to use their app in Warsaw very carefully. Those free 20 minutes can easily cost hundreds of PLN. Just look at rating of the app in stores and a couple reviews.
I had a lot of issues with bikes but one of them become epic. I tried to use button rent a bike in app instead of scanning QR code. After that the bike disappeared in application from the map. Immediately contacted with support but they said that their bug - it's my problem and I need to find bike somewhere in Warsaw!!!
Long story short - they stole money that was in my account, then blocked my account and every week remind me about the dept.
I contacted with CEO Veturilo to help with fixing application (I love to do place where I live better), work their support to make system work for people but at the end was ignored. There's no goal to do the system better.
This business is completely subsidized by the Poland government, but at the same time the owners want to get rich by stealing.

Nextbike is a thief of money and personal data.

Nextbike is a very very bad company. It creates mobile applications and sets up bike sharing for companies. This review is not about their app: Nextbike. It is about another app they created and keep on the Android/iphone store, called: Mevo. In Gdansk Nextbike created an app for company named Mevo (and was hired to provide bikes and the IT system). It never returned those to Mevo. The mobile app, Mevo, is on the app store without the permission from Mevo Poland, and is actively soliciting users from whom it demands: name, address, phone, and PESEL (Polish country ID), while knowing full well that they have no service, no bikes to offer, and not even a right to use 'Mevo' in the app name. The data collected via their app Mevo Mobile, is being harvested by NextBike for marketing among other things. Further, the Mevo app takes users money and does not return it. Users are mislead into depositing money via Mevo app in order to rent bikes. The users are not told that there are no bikes, no service, only the lawsuits. NextBike, the app maker, is actively being sued by Mevo, in one civil and one criminal case. There are multiple users who lost money and whose data is in the hands of criminals. Be careful. They are in court for the last 2 years, yet knowingly leave the app 'Mevo' on the Google and Apple store in order to harvest user data (including national IDs) and steal money.

Bad customer care

Bad customer care. I had an issue with two bikes: I brought back the bikes but the system has continued to rent the bike. I was aware of this only one week later when they charge 150 € on my credit card. I immediately called its customer care number but they told me they can do anything and I only write an email asking for a refund. I wrote 4 email but for now I still haven't a reply.

I exchanged >10 emails about the repayment of a debt I had on my account. Although I transferred the amount told, I was bothered with several Emails with missing, wrong or contradictory information. I will never recommend or use this service again. I'm shocked about your customer service.
