Late deliveries
This is my second time in a row for orders to be delivered way past the delivery date given when placing order. It's very disappointing. On both occasions I have had to contact customer service to get updates as orders haven't arrived on time. On this occasion I made contact and was promised the order would be delivered the following day. To then recieve and email stating there was a delay with the order and they would aim to deliver in a further 2 working days. Very disappointing.

Adding to the reviews of appalling service from Next Ireland. Ordered furniture online in late december got a phone call for delivery date of 16th Jan - the day came and went with no delivery and when I phoned them I was pawned off with some rubbish excuse about a truck not taking the item. Very quick to offer me €30 voucher so clear this is what she spends her day doing . Told her to keep it I will never buy from them again !
Could'nt tell me who their delivery partner was ....they would ring me in 72 hours and that was them rubbing their hands of the matter . I'm now in the dark as to when it will arrive or if it will arrive when I had already taken a day off work on the 16th to be at home .
Like everyone else says under no circumstances should you order furniture from NEXT Ireland ! Wish I had read the reviews before I did !

Had to keep calling to get a delivery date.
Delivery never arrived, after taking day off.
Customer service almost impossible to reach.
Eventually told delivery was with dhl so not their problem.

Lies, damned lies, and statistics.....
Having placed an order on 26th Decmeber, 2024 for collection in store, I was informed that my order had been split into 2 parcels. Common enough with large orders.......
One parcel was delievered to the correct shop, however the second parcel had been delievered to the wrong shop. I was told it would be 2 - 5 days before it was delievered. These things happen, I suppose......
Having spend hours, literally, on the online chat trying to find out if 1) my first parcel would be held until the second was delievered and 2) when the second would be delievered, after umpteen attempts and being given every possible excuse, I was "informed" by email that I had, according to NEXT, returned the items in the second parcel! I should say this "Return" happened the same day I informed NEXT I would be contacting CPPC.
Emails, calls, online chat to find a very simple answer to when all the items I bought and paid for would be available for collection, I was met with verbal equivilant of what one would find on the ground of a cattle mart.
Having shopped in person with NEXT for many, many years, I will never buy from them again. The customer service for online orders is truly horrendous. This is 2025, it really isnt that complicated to pop items in a bag, attach label and hand them over to a courier to bring to shop.
I am now left to collect some items, which were to be part of outfits for my daughters confirmation and purchase equivilant of the so-called returned items.
Beggars belief. If one parcel can be delievered for collection without issue, how on earth can the second parcel firstly go missing and secondly be recorded on the records of the seller as having been returned by the customer? I also do not appreciate being lied about in such a manner.

I rarely write reviews but feel compelled to write this as I am beyond disappointed with this company and how they treat their customers. My advice is to never order furniture items from this company!!! They cannot handle big items, no tracking provided, customer service are so unhelpful and still no sign of my purchases a month later. I know quite a few people who have had similar issues with large items not being delivered or lost or suddenly out of stock recently and judging by the reviews here, there are hundreds more in the same position as myself.
Pathetic service
I ordered few items on 25th december with a collection date 1st jan. On 2’nd jan i received an email (left warehouse) and today on 12th jan no update, when i called them they said we don’t know where the order is so i am cancelling and your will get your refund. i spent 2 hrs to select the products, if you are not capable enough to deliver the orders don’t run online portal close as it’s pathetic with no status update, nothing or might be you are playing with customers. don’t deserve even 1 star.
when i told the customer executive that i want to escalate this and file a complaint(official) don’t refund. she refunded after my call. A great way to do a business.
Ordered a mirror on 18th December
Ordered a mirror on 18th December. Advised 4 working days . No sign of it do got in touch. Advised I needed to be booked in for delivery?? Booked in so for the 10th January. Wasted a day waiting. Got in touch again - was told this is an estimate delivery date.
Told them to cancel . Now being told they need to confirm return with courier and that will take 48 hours?? Before they can process my cancellation
Disappointed in packaging
So i ordered an item for my wife as a present, not too expensive just under 90 euros, anyway I put in the order on the 27th Dec and by the 3 of January I had heard nothing, no dispatch email no tracking information so I decided to reach out in the chat section of there website, they were very helpful and we resolved the issue and the item arrived on the 6th which was pretty fast,
Now the problem i have is my wife was at home when the delivery came and took it in, and it arrived in a next branded plastic bad, no box no packaging nothing, you could feel exactly what the item was, that's the surprise ruined, it was jewellery and would expect it to come in a box at the minimum, very disappointed and ruined a small gift for my wife's birthday.

Recent experience has changed my opinion of Next. I placed and order for two items. One arrived which was not the size I’d ordered, a week later the second item hadn’t been dispatched when I enquired I was told “your order was not processed and handed over to the carrier due to technical issues at the warehouse”. I wonder how long I would have had to wait to find out if I hadn’t enquired. Online service had gone badly downhill.
Efficient Service
Never had an issue with delivery but I do live in Dublin and collect from store which has always been efficient and pretty much on time. Easy returns also.

This is an update to my previous review-after posting my initial review, I was contacted by the NEXT team and asked to reach out to discuss the matter further. However, when I responded to their email, I never received a reply.
What is even more frustrating is that I am still waiting for a refund of €535 for a chair that was never delivered. This has been an ongoing ordeal, and despite promises from their team that the refund has been escalated, I have yet to see any resolution.
This experience has been extremely disappointing and reflects poor service from NEXT. It makes me wonder if the Irish market is being treated as a secondary priority compared to their UK customers.
For a retailer of NEXT’s reputation, I expected far better communication, transparency, and resolution. This has been an incredibly frustrating process, and I would caution others in Ireland about making high-value purchases with NEXT.
Ordering a rug turned into a movie.
I ordered a simple rug and Next has it turned into a movie script, before ordering I made sure the item was in stock and in Ireland, but Next must be still hand weaving it. I'm on my 4th delivery date now and still no sign of the rug, I went back to the shop and nicely asked if they could help me the lady just gave me a phone number to call customer service because apparently its not the shops problem. Madness.. Home needs to go out of business and stop wasting people's time.

Really disappointed with the service. I ordered a mattress on 4th of November. On 18th got email said order was lost will issue refund.Now after a month still not received my refund of €217. Huge disappointed. Just got refund. It took more than a month.

False delivery times on there emails and site
I wouldn't even give them a star, ordered a dining table from there site that never arrived, it advised me that the table would take 4 days for delivery, at the end of the week I contacted there online chat who advised me that you actually have to arrange delivery again because it is furniture, the site and the email I recived never advised me of this, it actually stated on the email.i would have it in 4 working days, now I have to wait for a refund and I have no kitchen table for Christmas with family coming over, I will never order off these again....useless

I had purchased a jumper, when it arrived it was all sorts of no .. so as per their returns policy, bagged it back up in the original packaging, went onto the shop me returns site, paid €3.10 and dropped off to a local collection point. Was really not expecting to see a refund this close to Christmas, but within 2 days have an email receipt to say they had received it, and the next day the funds were being deposited (maybe 5 days before I'd see it) but they came in yesterday. So from the parcel arriving in my home, and then returned, refund arrived all within 1 week! Now that's amazing - well done Next!
Poor Customer Service
The problem I have with Next Store in Tralee.
The staff require some serious training on how to deal with difficult customers..
Don't run away and hide behind a cloth racks.
Don't leave a basket full of clothes to be displayed on a stool for people to try out shoes.
When you see a customer directly in front of you having problems trying on two left hand pair of slippers tied to a piece of rubber type band don't ignore him.
He won't be happy at all. Especially when he is old with a walking stick. Unfortunatley that young member of staff will also be like me old age pensioner one day.
Ordered a pair of runners
Ordered a pair of runners, received incorrect pair. Raised with customer care who said a refund would be issued. Based on this, re-ordered the pair of runners and have again received a completely different pair.
I have not received the original refund, let alone the second one. Also have to pay to return these, which will apparently be refunded....
I am out of pocket for two pairs of shoes and return costs and have not received a cent in return.
I was offered 10% off my next order as 'goodwill', obviously I won't be ordering from them again.
Amazing Next customer service
I was so impressed that the staff in Dundrum were so courteous and did not cause any fuss when I was returning an item that I had lost receipt for , I was collecting the same dress again in different size that I had ordered online , I know they didn’t have to this but it made my Christmas that they facilitated me well done next 👏👏👏thank you

Absolutely dreadful experience... ordered a couple of items in store in Carrickmines for a delivery and agreed delivery dates... furniture did not show up. After calling them I was told the items were left out by mistake and will be delivered the next day. Still nothing. Finally someone with a bit of knowledge answered and informed me 2 men deliveries have to be booked (how and by whom - still a mystery) and the next available date is mid January (a month away). Please Next educate your store staff as this is really poor experience and really put me off from ordering from you again.
