I should have read the reviews before ordering a furniture from Next. Horrible experience. I bought an unit that was supposed to be delivered on a specific date and when I asked when they said the window is 7.30 am to 6 pm. Which was ridiculous to begin with, and that was just the beginning of an ordeal. I was told that the delivery guys would ring me and they never did. The furniture ofcourse did not arrive. I rang them, contacted Next over chat to get a voucher and no real response. I only heard they will definitely ring you before they deliver. Fast forward, a week, I ring them again and I am told sorry that furniture is lost and you can order the same one again, we can't order for you but it is in stock. The refund will take 7 business days. Then, of course the furniture was out of stock and I am still awaiting the refund. No one actually helped. This was utterly ridiculous! Most horrible experience ever. In all this, I was never contacted in any form to apologize or give me a timeline. It was frustrating and annoying to say the least.
Absolutely dreadful service
Absolutely dreadful service. Don’t order any furniture and expect it to be delivered when promised. Kitchen table arrived day after expected delivery date - damaged and with no explanation. It only arrived as we spent the day chasing for an update. So difficult to contact anyone. Arranged for a replacement table and was promised the damaged one would be collected and replaced on a specific date and by a specific time. True to form it didn’t arrive as had been promised and of course can’t contact anyone directly to get an update. Will never use Next again for furniture and would not recommend them.

Processed my refund incorrectly for damaged item which has taken over a month to sort out, promised to give voucher for damaged item. Voucher was exchanged for bank transfer but money never arrived and voucher was cancelled too. Trying to email and chase them down for money but no help at all. The worst experience I've had with Next and has really put their credibility in question for me. I was a regular shopper in store!
Navy blue elasticated back. trousers
Navy blue elasticated back trousers. I bought a 14 my usual size as I have black ones in this size. But they were to tight. I had to go up a size to a 16. I don't know why but next have made these trousers smaller. So I would recommend going up a size. The trousers are nice and the 16 fit me. They will be fine for work. But I just wonder why Next has made there sizes smaller.
Shame on Next Home with their handling of Irish deliveries
We placed an order in store for an item of furniture which was in stock and were advised delivery would take place within 10 days. After approximately 5 days, we called to get an idea of delivery date as we were due to be on holidays the week after. At this point we were advised that delivery would not take place until 15 August, 5 weeks after placing the order.
We called Next Home CS and explained the sequence of events, to which they responded thats the way it is and there is nothing we can do - we were not at all happy!!
Roll on to 14 August, the day before the order is to be delivered, when at 18:45hrs, we receive a text message from the delivery company to advise that delivery would not take place on 15 August due to an issue with the trailer carrying our delivery and they would deliver on Saturday, 17 August instead. Another phone call to Next Home who yet again were awful to deal with and responded with a scripted response.
We received a text message from the delivery company on Friday night to advise they would deliver between 08:00-16:00hrs on Saturday, 19 August. We took turns to wait in and guess what, no delivery. We contacted Next again, and 15 minutes apart we got two different stories. One said oh dear, cest la vie and wait until Monday, the other said, delivery will be made by 20:00hrs on Saturday. Needless to say, no delivery arrived.
We called Next CS again this morning, and were advised that the delivery company was a contractor of DHL and their offices were closed, deeming the information we received yesterday, not to be true. At this point we saw red! We pointed out to the CS agent that we had previously spoken with them and they laughed saying Oh you sure have!! Now have to wait until tomorrow for another follow up.
To date we have lost one days annual leave, a full Saturday, and additional time with phone calls and frustration, and still no delivery of the bed we paid a lot of money for, and no sign of it nor a refund!
Updated - we contacted Next again who suggested we re-order the bed in the hope it would turn up before the original order. We asked if they could just transfer the original order to a new one and they said no. We would have to pay for the new order and then try to get a refund if the original bed turned up!!!
The bed eventually arrived on Tuesday, 20 August well after the delivery window.
Shame on you Next for not being able to get your act together. People place and pay for the orders in good faith, yet you continously let them down.

I purchased a jumpsuit for half price and even if I never wear it, I will be thankful for my pleasant experience with Clare

This is the 2nd time I’ve had problems with furniture delivery from this company and the customer after sales care is just appalling. I don’t know why I decided to try them again. Ordered an expensive wardrobe and it was delivered damaged. It was a flat pack and we didn’t open it all as the first board /shelf we unpacked was cracked and squashed together. We got in touch to have it replaced and there was another few weeks for lead time for delivery. Got a delivery date of 8th August and made sure I could work from home to receive. It didn’t arrive and I got a text to say it would arrive the next day9th August today. It hasn’t arrived. I spoke with 2 people yesterday from Next and 3 people today to find out how I can find out where my order is or to plan being here when it does arrive but nobody knows. I was told by one person ‘not to worry’ and was offered €50 voucher for the damaged item. I eventually spoke with someone late afternoon /dinner time who advised they have a ‘chaser’ looking into it. whatever that means-am sure it’s just another person in addition to all the people that can’t help me. So I am sitting here on Friday evening having made sure on both days I was able to receive the replacement and nothing has arrived and I can’t plan on when it will arrive with work as nobody can tell me.
We should have had this weeks ago. So frustrated with the process and lack of care. And it was so expensive
Just an update to say my order didn’t arrive yesterday (today is 10th) and I spoke with 2 people from next who said they’d call back today and still waiting to find out where order is

Without doubt the worst experience I've had in a long time. Ordered 5 thousand euro worth of furniture. Was told in store order would be completed in a certain timeframe. No delivery dates have been met. No communication from next. Having been passed through at least 10 customer service reps I was offered a €50 voucher by way of apology. Furniture yet to arrive and neither has the pathetic voucher. An absolute joke of a company. Avoid at all costs

Went to buy an ex display dining table and chairs , shop assistant was so rude I asked could I take it from shop floor there and then she told me to throw it on my back and work away . My husband asked was there someone available to help him carry it she replied it won’t be me I have a bad back . We had to negotiate our way through all other display items no one offered to move them even slightly to make it easier for us . Appalled at the attitude off staff member, always enjoyed shopping in next but won’t be back .
Extremely poor customer service
Extremely poor customer service. I spend a fortune on next and I recently received a gift card. When I went to purchase from it online I couldn't.
I asked if there was anything that the agents could do to help me as I live no where near a store and would never be able to get to one. I was pawned off agent to agent until I got a girl called Molly who basically said tough, sell it to someone who actually can come to the store with a smiley face at the end.
Store online in different countries seem to be able to accept gift cards !

Very poor returns service
Very poor returns service, had to chase up my last 3 returns to Next to see if they received them, after a lot of emails got my refunds eventually!!! Luckily had tracking numbers of returned parcels to prove the returns had arrived back with them.
Very bad customer service
Very bad customer service, I tried only to ask a simple question about the duvet cover measurements, and the lady on the live chat started to argue with me. The website is very confusing, because they mention all duvet cover sizes as UK sizes, even they are in Ireland. The lady on the customer service was not able to answer the question if there is any difference between UK and Irish size, she only said you can buy and return. It is shocking. And when I have googled for this info, there is actually a difference. So why they are selling UK sizes on the Irish web with no sizes guidance? Will never buy from them any duvet or other home item.
Childrens shoes fell apart
Childrens shoes fell apart after a few weeks. I didn't have the receipt at that stage. There is a code on the shoes which could have tracked the product but the store where they were purchased would not help. I contacted customer service online but they won't help as they were purchased in store.
