NewYork Nails in Dun Laoghaire have no regard or loyalty to.their regular customers which is an awful shame as the staff working there are so hard working and polite

They heed to be able to bend the rules and prices a little foe a very regular customer who just wanted a tidy up on toes

After going there very regularly fir the past 2 years I will not be back which is a great pity

There are many more salons to go to in the area where customer service to regular customers isof the upmost importance

Unfortunately leaving young people in charge of your business does nor work

I went in for the first time in a long time and was told one price and then after being in the chair half way done it was a NEW PRICE. So instead of getting the Shelllac i got the regular polish on toes but I left and had to come back. When I came back the OWNER wanted to ARGUE about fixing it. NEVER WILL I COME BACK OR SUGGEST OTHERS TO GO TO THE ONE BY FRED MEYERS IN RENTON

I had the most horrific experience at NY nails !! Had a pedicure and this usually would be a relaxing experience. The lady cut my cuticles so short I screamed out as hurt so much they poured with blood and she poured over some antibacterial powder like you would if you cut a dogs nails too short !! The electric file was agony i told her to stop and she just laughed!!! I gave her my own polish to use just as well as all the ones available were so old ! When she put me under the dryer it was so hot it burned. Im now away on holiday and the nail is infected as cut so short ! Avoid , pay the extra and go to a reputable salon with a therapist!!

If I could give minus stars I would. The owner/lady was smoking before I came to this windowless shop, it snelled like a bar. She was angry, she was rude and has very poor customer service skills. And that is not the worst. She filed my nails to the skin and made horrible manicure. My 8 year old child can do it better. Its not worth the money. There are other places in our neighborhood so much better.

AVOID!

She was running 20 minutes behind my apt time and then Tried to tell me I booked incorrectly. She said I book for a gel manicure when I wanted a regular manicure - without polish. Regardless what I wanted takes less time than a full gel appointment and both take around 30 minutes. She then spent 10 min removing my previous polish and told me I was done. Her next client had already arrived. She filed my nails down to almost the skin using the machine and one nail bed is slightly bleeding. She also kept telling me to ‘relax’ my hand and would pat it down.

In the end she didn’t do anything but remove polish when I asked for a manicure. My nails look worse than when I went in and are now paper thin, damaged and bleeding in one place. I wish I could post a picture because my nails have never looked worse.

She was rude, unapologetic for being late and tried to blame it on my incorrect booking when in actuality she was running incredibly behind and was trying to cut corners.

There are few nails salons in the area but I will never go back to this one. Last time I was there she was also in an altercation with a client.
