A massive thank you to Roshith and his…

A massive thank you to Roshith and his assistant for being so calm and reassuring to me when I had my wisdom tooth removed. Worst part the vile tasting numbing liquid we started off with amazing stuff though. Didn't realise I was having the injections and then him removing the tooth no pain at all. 7 minutes I think he said and that was it, done. They were truly so nice. After past experiences when I was in pain and ended up like a puffy hamster with so much bruising I was dreading it.
Many thanks. I will be back for regular check ups. Very professional team. Cannot recommend enough they are brilliant.

Great service as always

Today I had an appointment for my son and passed out in the middle of it! The dentists, dental nurse and receptionists did all they possibly could to look after both myself and my son. Went above and beyond and even called me when I got home. Thank you for looking after us and sorry it impacted the next patients wait time

Couldn’t help laughing the rudest exchange ever!

seems to be a trend with this practice. It has been excellent in the past but now I was surprised they have 2.3 rating.
Just had the rudest most condescending exchange I’ve ever had with anyone offering a service, suggested as being a bad parent who is not bothered.
Dentists are good receptionists whoa!

Not all dentists are the same.

Normal checkup but told I needed to see the hygienist for my teeth to be cleaned at £75, not offered this cleaning to be done by the dentist on the NHS which should be included in the standard cost. Also told I wouldn't be able to do this myself.

Just had a small filling replaced at a new NHS dentist who also did a checkup and said there were no problems with my teeth or gums, everything was looking good.

So, which dentist is correct?

Seems to me that New Road are only in it for the money as they are moving to only doing private dentistry.

New Dentists

I have just had my second check up with the new set up and would happily recommend this Practice to friends and family. The Staff are friendly and helpful, the treatment first class.

Called about a problematic tooth which…

Called about a problematic tooth which needed attention in December, and after seeing dentist at a cost of £89 to see what was needed he informed me that it would cost £800 to sort the tooth and was given an appointment in mid February 2025 to treat.
New Road Dental Practice text me mid February to say they needed to canceled appointment and to call them to re arrange, I called them and rearranged for mid March..
Mid March arrived with a text to say again they needed to cancel appointment again and to call them to rearrange appointment..
After 3 months of waiting I was not a happy customer as I had left practice leaving a £400 deposit on account to have the tooth sorted at next appointment and after 3 months waiting I still did not have the tooth fixed..

Had to wait 4 days to get my deposit back to be told I was only getting £366 back of my initial £400 as the dentist had X Ray my tooth to which I was unawere, I would of thought they would give me back all my money as I’ve now got to go elsewhere to get tooth sorted, a job they couldn’t complete …

I have since found another dentist who has arranged to treat my tooth with an appointment mid March.

I made an emergency appointment for the…

I made an emergency appointment for the same day. When I arrived, after a long journey from north London, I was already running late but was still seen by the dentist. I was informed that I couldn't use their toilet as it was out of order. I was seen and an extraction was very swiftly performed. The whole procedure took 30 minutes and cost £225. No medical history was taken beforehand and I was sent a medical history form to complete AFTER treatment. Much to my disappointment, Mr Alam the dentist, kept referring to me as "darling" throughout the consultation and treatment. I work in the NHS and have received extensive training on patient care and appropriate communication with patients. Referring to female patients as 'darling' is both unprofessional and patronising. The lack of access to toilet facilities was appalling, considering the fees I had to shell out £225 for 30 minutes of their rushed time and service. Terrible experience

Poor customer service experience.

Firstly, when I called today I had to leave a voicemail. But I called them again just in case. This time someone answered the phone. I was calling to inform them my husband would not be able to make his appointment the next day. We had just come back from the Eye Hospital and he an ulcer and infection in his eye. It means he cant keep his eye open and is very sensitive to light. So I was giving them 24 hours notice. I was then told they will keep his £25.00 deposit as it is 48 hours notice. I am fuming about this. He cant help being ill. Nowhere on their website or appointment confirmation does it state 48 hours notice must be given or you lose your deposit. Surely the best service would have been just to rebook for him. I really think our family may completely stop going to this practice as they really offer poor customer service.

I spent over £4000 on invisalign…

I spent over £4000 on invisalign treatment at New Road Dental. I was signed off with Vivera retainers to wear for a few months, New Road Dental never contacted me again or checked how the progress was doing. I tried contacting them on the app we had been using to correspond about my treatment but I had no response.

My teeth aren’t as straight as I would’ve liked them to have been after spending this much money and the retainer isn’t fitting that well.

I just think there could’ve been better aftercare, and a sign off at the end of treatment, I felt disappointed with the experience.

New Road Dental has the best dentist in the county

Dr Anna McDonagh is by far the best dentist I’ve ever had and I’m so grateful for her services her at New Road Dental.

She has been incredibly kind to me from start to finish and always made sure I was pain free during all my procedures. She and her staff treated me with utmost dignity and respect, always keeping me at the centre of my dental care which put me completely at ease. Dr Anna has gone above and beyond, her meticulous approach to her practice does not go unnoticed. I cannot recommend her enough. I have seen all of the same professionalism I just mentioned in how she treats other patients as well, and they always come out smiling. I wish her all the success in her future work. We need more doctors like her. Thank you very much.

Terrible Service

I'd been a patient for 16 years. Rang them today to book an appointment. I'd been taken off the register. Although I did not receive any text messages. The woman on reception couldn't have been more brusque or difficult. Super unhelpful. Really disappointing. Terrible service. I rang Parkisde dental and had a brilliant experience. I shan't be going back to New Road. Sort out the people on reception

I booked an online appointment as a new…

I booked an online appointment as a new patient, received a call the next day to state I will need to make a payment as I am a new patient which I was happy to pay, the lady on the phone took the payment and then said see you on your appointment. I obviously then waited almost 3 weeks for my appointment date, went in today and the receptionists were both unhelpful, both were confused and said we don’t have you on the statement & then she went on to say we tried calling you to take further information? But we didn’t get no answer from you.. which makes no sense? How can a staff member call me the very next day to take a payment and then just say see you on your appointment but when turning up to the appointment I’m not even booked on the system. No apology, not even asked if I wanted to rebook, I asked for a refund and will definitely look elsewhere. Unprofessional service.

Awful time wasters. Take your money elsewhere.

Awful. Avoid at all costs.
Ten minutes to answer the phone and then a moody, miserable receptionist will talk to you like crap.
Pricing is displayed inaccurately to purposely mislead you.
Three trips to see them, wasted fuel and an unpaid afternoon at work for nothing.
They haven’t got a clue.
