Got my first home 5 years ago everything went smoothly. I have been with Newrez since Nov 2021/ 5years now. So far no issues whatsoever.

The App is very easy to install, learn and use. All the features are self explanatory and anyone can use them. The payment process was simple enough for all users.

My credit score dropped 113 points overnight, and I found out Newrez had reported my mortgage 30 days late. When I called, the rep said my bank had declined my August payment, so my September payment was quietly applied to August.
I had no idea. The portal showed my last payment as received and had no past-due alert at all. Their only "notice" was a Sept 19 email titled "New Mortgage Payment Reminder Available In Your Account!" The actual delinquency notice was buried behind a login and several menus. They also said they called, but Newrez calls me constantly to push refinancing, even though I've asked them to stop many times.
I paid immediately. It's a newer loan with no other late payments. I wrote asking them to review the reporting, and two weeks later I still have no reply. That one late mark is now hurting my business financing. Check your Newrez account yourself every month.

Horrible. Newrez failed to pay my homeowner's policy renewal. They paid the hurricane coverage, which was with the same insurance company, but failed to pay the underlying Homeowner's policy claiming they had no knowledge of my coverage (I had coverage with the same company since 2022 with no break in coverage). Newrez then assigned some outrageous insurance policy cause my mortgage payment to increase by $200 per month. The former insurer would not reinstate my policy and instead of a $750+/- homeowner's coverage, the new coverage is now $1,245. Either way, I am screwed. Horrible staff at Newrez - thick Indian accents. Will be seeking the services of a litigator shortly.
