I have knitted several patterns from New Leaf Designs, and they are very well written and easy to follow. Great and original designs.

Beautiful colors in wonderful patterns and the instruktions are easy to follow. Good with video tutorials. I find New Leaf Designs very inspiring!

I have had trouble knitting lace patterns, untill I found one of Carmen's patterns. The pattern was nicely written out with an accompanying graph. A tutorial is also available in which she shows all the steps of the pattern, in both English and Continental style knitting. This was ideal because I am more visually oriented. And to top it all of Carmen herself helped me out when I was by no means done with my skein of yarn but at the end of her pattern. She helped my with further increases and how many rows to knit before more increases were needed so I could extend my shawl with further fitting lace knitting.
Needless to say I no longer have difficulty knitting lace!

I have some patterns from New Leaf Designs and also learned some techniques (Judy's magic cast-on, fair isle knitting with yarn in both hands, ...) from video tutorials and a real life workshop. They are really great!

Carmen is an amazing teacher! Methodical and detail oriented, but very chill and relaxed si that you actually enjoy learning with her. I learned how to knit toe up socks solely by watching her 5 part You Tube series and have recommended those videos to several family and friends so they can knit those up socks as well. And they lived them too! I highly highly recommend her instructional videos and I love her colorwork. Thanks Carmen for everything!!

I've made a couple of Carmen's patterns, including the Sassenach KAL. Her patterns are lovely, easy to follow and understand and if there is a part that could be tricky she usually has a tutorial available.

I learned to knit using two colours thanks to Carmen from New Leaf Designs. I was very reluctant at first but her instructions and her videos are really easy to follow. I love all of Carmen’s patterns and she’s so friendly, knowledgeable and helpful.

Carmen writes clear and well-written patterns! If you have little experience with a knitting technique she always has a tutorial available to walk you through it. The patterns are colourful, great for both beginners and experienced knitters. I’ve learned several new techniques by following her patterns.

New Leaf Design offers clear patterns in English and Dutch to crochet or knit. The designer is a highly talented women that can answer your questions in both languages. I admire her fantastic ability to combine colours! She also offers a platform with tutorials for all kinds of techniques to upgrade your skills. Don't be afraid to try one of her patterns!

I had the most patient, friendly, encouraging friend helping me on my journey to learn to knit socks. I say friend, I don’t know Carmen but I felt as though I did once I’d mastered the sock! I used the written pattern and the YouTube videos, both were so easy to follow and for me having both meant when I was unsure I could turn to the video.

Fantastic patterns for crochet. I have used the web site for many years and have been amazed at the quality of the patterns. Some are free. Always a go to site and designer. Thank you for all your hard work
