Engineers Randy and James both excellent
Engineers Randy and James were very reassuring and patient. They gave five star service and were also polite, courteous, and they explained everything clearly to my 95 year old mother.

Never use this company, paid for a new stair lift in September 2021 developed a fault after a few months. We were advised it had been fitted incorrectly by them. Then they never completed the repair despite repeated phone calls.
We were then left with a stair lift that would not work at all. After my father in law passed away we were offered a joke reimbursement for the removal of the lift which was only just over 10% of the purchase price even though it was installed in correctly by them.
There was no point in us having a 2 year warranty as they don’t even fix something after 3 months.
Customer service is no existent as they don’t respond to phone calls and when you get through they never ring back as the person you need to speak to is not there.
It’s shame you can’t give 0 stars for a company as I would never use these again if needed and would advise everybody else to not use them.
We purchased a stair lift from this company just over a year ago. 3 weeks ago my mother was taken ill and spent almost 14 days in hospital. The day after the stairlift started doing funny things. We contacted them and they sent someone to look at it. It was a fault they had never seen so they took the actual chair away to figure what was wrong. They didn't keep us updated with what was happening even though we left messages with the receptionist. Yesterday they finally called to advise they would be coming to refix it. You guessed it just had a call to say they couldn't come today and would try to come in 2 days time as there is only one engineer out on the road. Meanwhile my recuperating mother is living downstairs with no wc or bathroom facilities. Customer service is disgusting. Use them at your peril!
I am very disappointed, considering the positive reviews that I have read about this company, to find myself writing a negative review of Newbury Mobility.
Due to a sudden deterioration in my wife’s mobility, she became trapped upstairs, therefore it was a matter of extreme urgency to have a stairlift fitted. I contacted this company as they are local to me, and they had glowing reviews. I was offered a survey the following day. A representative arrived the following day to carry out the survey, except he was not the surveyor, he was only bringing out stairlift brochures, and said that the survey would be carried out the next day. Although I was upset at the delay, and having explained that this was a ‘distress purchase’, I accepted this on the basis that the stairlift would be fitted in about two weeks, and paid a deposit of £1800.
Subsequent exchange of emails and phone calls determined that the stairlift was to be manufactured abroad, and it became clear that the company could not guarantee an installation date, and would certainly have been unable to do so within the quoted two weeks. Due to the extended delay the company agreed to refund my deposit. When the deposit had not been refunded after a week or two, I tried repeatedly to contact them by phone, and strangely always got an answerphone, yet when I called on a borrowed phone they answered straight away! But then the receptionist expressed ignorance of my expected refund, and basically fobbed me off. Eventually I was forced to reclaim the deposit using Section 75 with my credit card company, such that my £1800 was eventually refunded by my card company some 9 - 10 weeks later.
I contacted Newbury Mobility last week and advised them that I would be posting a negative review unless they could give me any sensible reason not to. I haven't heard from them since.
I should mention that when I realised that this company was unable to supply a stairlift in the timescale quoted, I contacted Acorn stairlifts, who surveyed and fitted a stairlift within two days!
