DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT

Regardless of wind strength poles do no stand upright. Would not have purchased this tent had I known this. Spent two hours making adjustments with the positioning of the tent and the poles but nothing seemed to work. DO NOT BUY THIS TENT. Personally I wouldn’t buy any tent that needs wind to keep its form.

Complete Failure – Do Not Buy for Coastal Conditions

Here is a firm rewrite of your review for Trustpilot:

Review Title: Complete Failure – Do Not Buy for Coastal Conditions
I am writing this to warn others: do not waste your money on the Neso Grande. After being specifically informed that this product was suitable for windy conditions, I found the reality to be the exact opposite.

I followed every instruction provided, yet the product is a total failure. Even with direct support from their designer, Matt Goldberg, the tent simply cannot handle the wind. While this might function in perfectly calm conditions, it is completely unfit for the typical coastal breeze we experience on Australian beaches.

To make matters worse, the customer service has been nothing short of disgraceful. It is unacceptable to market a product as wind-ready when it fails so miserably in real-world use. This product does not live up to its claims, and the support behind it is non-existent.

Verdict: Save your money. This is not fit for purpose.

Do not recommend Neso---Poor Customer Service & Return Policy

Do not recommend Neso. I ordered a Neso and Neso Grande tent as a Christmas gift for my husband, with the plan to keep one and return the other. I also ordered the extra poles and conversion kits. He decided to keep the Neso and return the Grande. I was shocked and dismayed to learn about the 20%, yes 20%, restocking fee. Plus, we need to pay for the return shipping, which was almost $30. In total, the return cost over $75. Very poor customer service. Stay away from doing business with this company.

In windy conditions

In windy conditions, this is an absolute failure. I paid extra to put this in my bag to go to St Croix along with a shibumi shade because I had a group of eight. We hike down to Jack/Isaac's Bay, which was a 30 minute hike and try to set it up in every way possible for 45 minutes even looking at their recommendations never could get it set up the wind would not hold it no matter how heavy I made those bags, but guess what the shibumi set up perfectly and no problems, but unfortunately, not all eight people could fit under it so I wasted time money and effort on a trip for this product. I highly recommend do not buy don't waste your money.

Beware of purchase

I purchased a Neso in the summer. We attempted to put it up for 30 mins on the NJ beach with windy conditions (which is typical weather at the NJ beach). After many failed attempts we had to pack it away. Disappointed with the product I asked for a return. Unfortunately, I would have to pay shipping and a 20 percent restocking fee. They suggested I purchase more products to fix the "problem" which would then leave me in a bigger financial hole if it didn't work. I also found out that if I bought it off of Amazon then I could return it for free with no restocking fee - which made me very disappointed with the customer service because the tent did not work and I would lose money for an issue with the product.

After communicating with customer service they said they would speak to someone higher up but said they normally don't budge. He did budge and drop it to restocking of 10% but it wasn't worth the return with the shipping. I was able to sell the tent on FB marketplace for better value.

Overall, I was disappointed with the product and even more disappointed with how hard it was to return it and get my full refund back.

If you are to purchase make sure you do it through Amazon. Beware that the product doesn't work well in the wind and better off with a cool cabana.

BEWARE HIGH SHIPPING COSTS AND TAX

I am in the UK and as such, got directed to the US Neso site. The product itself is good (Neso Grande), however, the shipping costs and import duty are not clear and when you click to buy, it automatically takes payment (Apple pay) without confirming shipping costs. These are £50 to the UK. Follow this with a £62 import tax bill from FedEx, makes a £112 just to post the Neso sun shade (which was only £137 to buy). I know the small print on import duty is buried in the T&C on the website, but the whole approach from Neso on their website is pretty disingenuous in my opinion and this should be transparent to consumers - would you pay £112 shipping?
I am posting on the off chance that it helps someone else before they make the same unknowing mistake I did. Poor show Neso, for what is otherwise a good product.
