Getting prospective on my options
I wanted to see my options to consolidate several bills with a lower %...you gave insight to several options which beats going thru thousands of options...thank you
Nerd Wallet works with predatory lenders
While I appreciate their free services, I DO NOT RECOMMEND them for their loan options. I was looking for a business loan, signed up to get some offers, and have been bombarded by PREDATORY LENDERS. I can’t get them to stop. Do not ever sign up for any offers of low interest rate loans. One of them, before I realized what was going to happen, offered to finance my loan. They called me the next day and said that they could only offer three separate loans to total what I was asking for. If I took the loan, I would owe said company $20k, due in 7 days, on a $200k loan. They purposely split the loan up after saying their fee was 7.9% and that was all. By the time the three loans were totaled, the 7.9% became 10%. We turned that crap down and walked. Between the constant calls, emails, and texts, my phone doesn’t stop ringing. It starts at 8am and doesn’t stop until around 10pm. Nerd Wallet needs to stop doing business with loan sharks. DON’T SIGN UP FOR ANYTHING IF YOU VALUE YOUR PEACE.
Wide disparity between their ratings…
Wide disparity between their ratings and real life users. Look at Sofi as an example. Customer service and product/fee volatility is awful. Seems like they are now writing articles to push advertising and referral fees vs being unbiased.
Auto Insurance tool is a scam
I made the mistake of using NerdWallet's tool for auto insurance quotes. Rather than producing any actual quotes, they simply redirected me to sites of insurance companies hoping to gain a fee if I actually bought insurance. Worse, they used my personal information to sign me up for a NerdWallet account that I never asked for or wanted. This is the last time I'll use their site for anything.
I'M MAD
I didn't realize y'all were running my credit!! I'm mad! I also didn't want a bunch of calls!
After all this, I find out the loan I wanted assistance with, isn't even eligible.
Easy peasy process!
Looking for a reasonable personal loan…

Misleading ads push debt relief instead of the personal loans advertised
Clicked on a personal loan ad to check their rates and after clicking through the form to get personal loans I instead got funneled to some bs debt relief website and they proceeded to start callous and emailing me about their program which I was never interested in or inquiring about to begin with! Will never try nerdwallet again for anything after that scammy experience.
