The knives are high-quality products. I have bought several Khukris and some of their collaboration knives ( DBAD ). They were all outstanding in quality and craftsmanship. For me, this is the place to go for a good Khukri / large blade.
I have gotten several khukuris from Khukuri House and find them to be of very good quality. They use a 5160 steel- the same that is used in auto suspension systems. Apparently they make the official khukuri for the Ghurkas- the most feared mountain troops in the world. I am a knife collector and presently carry their 5 inch Biltong for everyday concealed carry. No blade that I am aware of has the shearing power of a khukuri blade even in such a diminutive size. So far I like this company a lot and I do recommend any of their blades. I would like to see more concealed carry blades- from 21/2 inches up to about 51/2 and with varying belly depth. I would also like to see more kydex sheaths for ease of carry, blade retention and protection from moisture and more concealed carry options. Try this company out!! I think you'll like what you see!!
The sword I purchased (30″ Damascus Steel Viking Sword Sharp Battle Ready Medieval Sword Gift) looks and feels like a cheap Chinese knockoff off from the pictures on the website. There is glue smeared all over on both sides of the handle. There are obvious signs the metal pieces were cast mold. The so called sharpening is god awful, horribly tapered. The sheath is too big and the sword falls out with no effort. It's as if they tried to make it look similar, but gave up in the middle of it.
If you order the The Beast dont forget that the blade has to be locked into the sheath by pushing it forward. Failure to do so leaves the knife lose in the sheath.
I've wrapped my sheath in cammoflage hockey stick tape because I do a bit of bushcraft.I'm holding back on Damascus steeling the blade because that would be sacrilegious on such a beautiful blade.
