I rarely write negative reviews, but this experience has been beyond disappointing. My DNA sample was received by DNA Complete on November 8th, 2025. We are now approaching June 2026 — mo... See more

Update Subscription is a Scam
I bought their subscription to updated reports when I had my DNA analyzed.
They stopped updating. I got scammed and I am sure a lot of other people did too. DO NOT subscribe to ongoing updates -- they don't exist.
One year later and never got my…
One year later and never got my results. Nebula did admit to error on their side regarding providing access to my report but have not corrected this problem. Their attitude is extremely unhelpful if not belittling. My husband spent $500 for this as a birthday present and nothing !
Still waiting for results after 1 year!
I'm still waiting for my WGS results and the lab received them a year ago.
I have requested a full refund and will pursue legal action for services not rendered if they're combative. This is pretty cut and dry - you pay for a service, the company delivers it. This hasn't happened and there has been no action by or communication from Nebula other than an order processing status moving back and forth -- for a year.
Absolutely the worst company you could…
Absolutely the worst company you could ever enroll into. If you sign up for their trial, they automatically enroll you into a yearly subscription. This is non refunded even if you cancel within the 7 day trial period. I would absolutely not recommend their service for anyone.
Can’t be trusted
Nebula genomics does not reply to any e-mails sent to them nor by submitting the form on their website. I can’t find any phone number to reach out to them neither.
Reason for wanting to connect with customer support is that I can’t download my files and it says to contact customer support. But there is no answer.
I really don’t feel good at all knowing such a company has every single bit of info of my DNA.
Nebula genomics was very quick to reply to my complaint that I made here before, but not to the e-mail they provided.
Nebula, I want my money back and a guarantee that you delete all genetic information and other about me on all records that you have
Complete scam of a company
Complete scam of a company, they force you to sign up for a subscription and they the information they give you is completely contradictory to other information. There was absolutely nothing gained from this testing and the full DNA file you can download is also useless. Finally they still billed me for another year $150 even though I cancelled.
STILL NO RESULTS
So I have been waiting since June 12 for my raw DNA results. I keep being told my "support" oh it takes a week, well here it is almost 2 and nothing....crickets. Not to mention i entered my CC information in for their free trial to be able to even see/review my results, and still, nothing. I have sent an email everyday and it seems to be the same auto-generated response and it is very frustrating that they are not willing to help you. I am hoping i get my results soon or I will be taking this complaint higher in the organization
Useless data
First test was failed, second test succeeded. More than 10 weeks to get the results. My main complaint is that the data you get are not explained. You get paid access to their platform but I challenge anyone to make sense of the data. It's 100 GB of complex data that about this or that gene and variants. Unless you'll be able to bring this data to a genetist what you get is totally useless.
Great service, reliable and reasonably quick
I ordered 3 WGS tests for my family and the experience with Nebula was good. Two of these kits were ready in under 10 weeks. The third kit required a top up which means to get the sequencing to high enough coverage. It had to be re-run so it took double the time i.e. 20 weeks. The positives of this test are:
Raw Data are available instantly and always available, even if your subscription runs out.
Prompt and courteous customer service.
Quality of the data is high, my 3 tests got significantly more than required 30x coverage (34x, 35x, 42x).
Having said that, the interpretation of the raw data is difficult and current science doesn’t offer a lot of actionable health advice. So don’t expect this test to be a miracle which will solve all of your health issues. While the raw data will be of high quality, you may struggle to find a health professional to interpret them.
This can take a long time, 20 weeks is roughly 5 months. And at the end of this you may rarely be asked to provide another sample which would mean more waiting.
Make sure to cancel your subscription to avoid unexpected charges after 1 year is up (unless you value access to occasional new reports). Your reports will be updated until the current subscription period is up, even if you cancel early. And you can also download all reports one by one to keep access to them afterwards.
Terrible customer service
Terrible customer service. Been waiting for 6 months and still no answer. No update or reply from all of the queries sent. This is for SURE a DNA collection company.
AVOID.
Waste of money
This was a waste of money. I paid to have 100% of my DNA mapped and for lifetime membership so I would receive regular updated information about traits and health issues associated with my DNA profile.
The estimate was that I would receive the results in a few weeks, but they never came. The company did not keep in contact and whenever I complained, they would just say it will be done in a month or something like that. Of course the DNA mapping never arrived, leaving me feeling I had just been scammed.
An Absolute Hoax
An absolute hoax: they ruin the samples themselves and then blame the customer for not following the instructions. Mind you, they only ask buccal swabs so you don't actually spit in their vial like you do with 23andme for example. They did the quality control 12 weeks after my kit arrived to them and ooops it was insufficient (probably all dried up) although I followed their instructions extremely thoroughly. Also it was a nightmare to deal with their customer service when I had problems with my country's customs when receiving the vial. I also just now read that many people have received wrong person's results ie. a woman realise that "her" results are some man's results and so on. So therefore I'm unsure whether I even want this company to have my dna in the first place since I don't trust them at all anymore!! Maybe this was a blessing in disguise and I just have to pay for being stupid and trusting them since I'm not eligible for refund. But my complain is mainly that they don't offer good enough vial or storage conditions or instructions for the sample itself. Horrendous horrendous company! I should never have trusted my husband who did the vetting of these dna companies and praised Nebula: well, gotta pay for being lazy and not doing it myself.

Absloute scammers
Absloute scammers!
They sent me a first DNA kit which was retained by customs and emailed me to send me another one. However, once the 6 month delay to file a Paypal dispute passed, they immediately stopped emailing me, or responding to me. No more communication at all.
ALWAYS PAY VIA PAYPAL AND FILE A CLAIM WITHIN THE 180 DAYS PERIOD.

I sent my test in and it was being…
I sent my test in and it was being processed for 5 months. After reaching out a few times they said it had failed and they had experienced a technical glitch and that it falsely represented the ‘processing’ stage. I asked for a refund because they didn’t get back to me initially and because the glitch on there delayed the process. They said no and haven’t replied to my numerous emails following up. Any recommendations on what I should do?

Waste of time and money
I am downgrading my original review to…
There is no particular interesting data on site, and you cannot actually download the data, as the 70 GB files always crash half-way through. There is a summary file that successfully downloads, but there isn't enough information on it for anyone else (23andme / yourdnaportal) to be able to make use of it. Overall, a complete waste of money. A wiser choice would be to go straight to 23andme and do the test with them.

They signed me up for an annual subscription I didn't want. Auto charges and even if its only bee 5 days into it they won't refund me money. Total scam company! I wouldn't trust their DNA software either!

No result no response
Sent in a sample over seven months ago and have not received a report. Their customer service team and infrastructure seems to have been dismantled since then. Although the company was probably legitimate when it started, it has descended into a scam.
