Good solid advice - as a small charity we do not have in-house HR. Ciaron really listened and guided me through each step with practical advice. With his help we were able to resolve the situation.

Craig at Neathouse is always quick to respond

Craig at Neathouse is always quick to respond – typically the same day – which makes a real difference when dealing with time-sensitive HR matters. His sector knowledge is excellent and his advice is consistently pragmatic and commercially astute. He strikes the right balance between managing risk and enabling sensible business decisions, which is not always easy to find in employment law advice. Highly recommended.

We’ve had such a great experience…

We’ve had such a great experience working with Neathouse Partners. Rachel, our solicitor, has been genuinely fantastic from the start. She really knows her stuff and explains things in a way that makes everything feel clearer and far less stressful.

What I’ve appreciated most is how supportive she is. Nothing ever feels like too much trouble, and she’s always quick to help us work through whatever HR issue we’re dealing with. You can tell she really cares about getting things right and making sure we feel confident in the next steps.

It’s made a huge difference having someone so reliable and knowledgeable on our side. I honestly couldn’t recommend Rachel — and Neathouse Partners — more highly.

I would highly recommend Neathouse…

I would highly recommend Neathouse Partners. I have received excellent service from them, from the start. Everything was tailored to our needs and next steps were planned to enable our business to operate and move forward effectively. As a small business, the HR and Legal and Health & Safety support is invaluable - it is just like having our own department to ensure everything is done correctly and we can call professionals with a wealth of knowledge for any queries. Having a designated contact means a relationship is developed and Neathouse has a good understanding of us as a company. There are regular updates sent out and webinars that can be attended that are beneficial in keeping up to date. Overall, I am very happy with the service - thanks to Zanthe and Alison!

Very good support from Rachel Ameobi

Rachel Ameobi has been providing us with HR guidance for several months, and we have been extremely satisfied with the quality of her support. She takes the time to fully understand our queries and consistently offers clear, practical advice that ensures we remain compliant with employment law. She is equally attentive to our business needs, helping us strike the right balance between legal obligations and operational priorities. Her proactive follow‑up is particularly valuable, especially given our busy schedules as business owners.

Warning to small businesses

Warning to small businesses: Generic service and lack of flexibility

I am sharing this to warn other small business owners about the rigid practices of Neathouse Partners Ltd.

1. Lack of Tailored Service: I requested HR documents for a small, single-site restaurant. The drafts I received were clearly unvetted templates containing provisions for 'working from home' (for kitchen and waiting staff), 'overseas relocation,' and 'intranet notices'—none of which applied to my business. When I flagged these errors, I received no apology or explanation, only a brief response nearly two weeks later after I had to chase them.

2. The Contractual Trap: I attempted to trigger a break clause in my 5-year contract but missed the 'window' by less than 24 hours due to a miscalculation. Despite no reminder being sent by the company and the request being less than a day late, they have insisted on enforcing the full 5-year term.

3. Disingenuous ‘Goodwill’: When I expressed my dissatisfaction, their representative offered a 'gesture of goodwill' to let me out of the contract if I paid 85% of the remaining 5-year value. I later discovered this 'gesture' was actually a standard penalty term already written into the contract.

Conclusion: In my experience, this company prioritises rigid contract enforcement over providing a service that is actually fit for purpose. If you are a small business, be extremely wary of the long-term commitment and the quality of the automated documents provided.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback.

We’re sorry to hear that your experience did not meet expectations. Neathouse Partners provides bespoke HR and employment documentation tailored to each client’s business, and we work closely with clients throughout the drafting process to ensure documents reflect how they actually operate in practice. Where changes are requested, these are implemented in line with client preferences.

In relation to contractual matters, our agreements are clearly set out at the outset, including any reduced fees offered in exchange for longer-term commitments and the applicable notice provisions. These terms apply consistently to all clients to ensure fairness and transparency.

We always aim to act reasonably and professionally, and where concerns are raised, we will explore appropriate options within the framework of the agreement. However, we are unable to discuss individual contractual arrangements publicly.

Highly recommended!

I cannot recommend Neathouse highly enough, we have worked with the company for a number of years now and always been very well supported. I have been dealing with Emma Dubar recently over 3 quite complex matters and she's been absolutely brilliant, her knowledge is second to none. To know we have Emma at the other end of the phone is so reassuring.

We are very glad we signed up

We hadn't signed up for an HR contract before so were apprehensive about the value and use. However, the advice and support has been excellent. Great quality service given. Very responsive. We have appreciated being given the same person each time and have built up a valuable relationship. This has been a good use of charity funds.
