I went into the NC quick pass office on Tuesday. As I entered the building, a gentleman welcomed me before I got 3 steps in the door with the great smile and an awesome personality as I approached him at the window. He stayed, his name was Thomas thomas was amazing. He made the experience worth the while he helped me with every question. I had and every concern. Thomas is a great associate that will go above and beyond to take care of any knees you have way to go,Thomas

Just don’t

Three times this year I have been told my account is reactivated after their screwup and now they canceled again. I’m done. NC is a joke with the worst customer service, ever.

They me for a toll I incurred but

They billed me for a toll I incurred *and* for 2 tolls I did not. They didn’t send me a mailing until the total bill was $66.00 plus, and turned down my appeal for what I don’t owe. If I can’t trust their “mail the bill” system, there’s no reason to sign onto their transponder system. I’ll avoid NC toll roads from now on.

Fraudulent practice

About six months ago, I bought an NC Quick Pass to receive a 50% discount on I-77 travel. According to their website, which I didn’t understand clearly because there is no explanation of how the pass would work, I had to make a $10 deposit. Several weeks later, I received an email stating that the company had increased my deposit to $20, and I didn’t think much of it. Two months later, I received an invoice for $111, which I disputed through a formal letter. I never received a response to my letter, but on May 6, 2025, I received another invoice # 35443622097 for $254.80, and no mention of my previous appeal. I called the center, and someone informed me that my pass had been canceled and my 50% discount was not honored. The reason given was that I didn’t have a deposit on my NC Quick Pass to cover any “future” trips on I-77. The company never notified me that I had to make such a deposit, and if they raised my initial $10 deposit to $20, why didn’t they do the same this time? I want the company to honor my NC Quick Pass, restore it, and provide me with the 50% discount that I deserve since this is an oversight on their part. I am 66 years old and have to travel once or twice a month to Davidson, NC, for medical reasons. I am on a fixed budget and can’t afford to pay this astronomical amount. This looks like a fraudulent way of doing business.

Fraud with quickpass

Do not under any circumstances sign up for a transponder with this agency. It is voluntary extortion and you are much better off paying by mail for any fees. I had disabled my transponder before selling my vehicle and they continued to bill me for charges not even in North Carolina. When I appealed, I was told there is no way to prove who went through toll and I must not have deactivated the account correctly. So glad I no longer live in this pathetic corrupt state with incompetent leadership at every level. Do better NC! You’ve been warned!
