Nahimic 3 is very good

Nahimic can give you a great audio experience with its features. Just need a headset along with this application, I feel like i'm in my own world despite the noise outside or in a loud office!

good audio software

I hesitated to use it at first when I read a lot of negative comments on Nahimic. But when I started to experience its features, it brings me amazing effects.

Nahimic corrupts the screens of other programs

For the second time in about 2 years Nahimic released a software update that can corrupt the user dialogs of ANY newer-version application (those designed with Microsoft "WPF"). This cost me hours, trying to figure out why certain software programs (that previously worked fine) suddenly had bizarre images appearing when I moved the mouse over their screens. I found the answer in posts from 2019 about Nahimic doing the same thing back then: corruption of Windows screen rendering. Even worse, there is no indication that Nahimic is installed or that it recently updated, only that Dell's Alienware Command Center updated. I did see a brief popup that indicated "my audio software was updated" but I had no idea what it was from. Well, I do now: Dell installed this garbage on my laptop automatically and without giving me any option to allow it. Supposedly, it makes stereo audio seem more like surround sound.. basically it's a gimmick. I do not need it and I cannot "decline" having it, so I uninstalled Dell's software entirely (it's really all just gaming gimmicks) and I used the Services applet to Stop and Disable the Nahimic service (which is what fixed the problem). Any company that is so greedy or incompetent that it puts out poorly designed and untested software, that corrupts Windows operating system behavior and affects OTHER applications, should have zero customers and should disappear. I hope Dell and others are listening! Abandon this garbage, it is just an over-hyped feature that nobody needs and you look bad for redistributing it without even testing it yourself.

What a piece of s*** noname software

What a piece of s*** noname software. I would never care for any audio driver in my computer, but what this trash did crosses the bounds to make me write a review.

I'm playing project cars 2, I'm in a 40 minute race, I'm far ahead of everyone else, race is 70% done, I'm turning into a corner and this noname piece of s*** software decides it is good time to minimize the game and open a dialog that "driver is updated, would you like to restart now?"

I switch back into game and I'm in the wall and cars already ahead of me.

I turn off the game, find this piece of s*** and uninstall. Bye bye and thanks for ruining my nerves 🖕

Awful software

Awful software, never asked for or wanted this garbage installed, but now it seems I'm stuck with it as it acts like malware/virus and prevents you from deleting it or stopping it running.
Have made admin changes to system setting in Windows and this trash software still re installs itself.
This company should face legal prosecution for distributing malware/viruses.

They create Audio "enhancement" that…

They create Audio "enhancement" that installs itself without asking consent, is near impossible to remove as it reinstalls itself in a multitude of ways, and the software itself just hogs cpu for no reason. As far as I am concerned this is somewhere between a virus and a PUP.

Don't like them at all.

I very much dislike them.

I woke up a couple months ago and had lost all sound. It's turns out that an update of theirs had broken it. It took me a couple hours, when I was supposed to be working, to figure out this was the cause of it and get an older driver. As far as I'm concerned that should basically never happen, if they can't push updates that don't completely break their purpose, they shouldn't push the update.

And then the past couple days I've been trying to record something, and my voice has been insanely quiet. I do multiple video calls a day where my volume is normal. It turns out that there is a control panel by them that only seems to affect recording volume, and it's normal setting was super super low.

I don't want to go to a second place (after windows control panel) to change my volume, and I didn't want to have to spend troubleshooting this. I will try and avoid buying a computer with their drivers/software on it in the future, I don't see any advantages for having them on my computer.

The worst company ever

The worst company ever. They claim they can't update their drivers due to windows limitation, although all other companies did.
When I told them that amateurs could update their drivers by editing the inf file, they start removing their inf file from the Realtek driver so no one can do it.

After windows update, I lost my Bass Boost, and there is no fix. Not to mention stuck with an old software with a new laptop. The only old software is Nahimic

Recommendation: Don't ever buy a laptop/PC with Nahimic Audio!
