Faulty shade on ceiling lights and don't believe everything customer services tell you
My Wife bought a ceiling light from the Clowne store Chesterfield.Paid to have it fitted but one of the light shades would not go on. So the guy had to go to another job. My Wife thought she would just take it back and swap it for one out of another one as you could clearly see the thread was damaged. The Manager of the store who was very abrupt said you would have to take it all down and bring it back as it is their policy.l was already fed up because l phoned customer services before l bought it and ask if the bulbs were would work with a dimmer switch and he said they would and when l got it home it said on the bulbs they would not. So that cost me another £14.99 for dimmable bulbs.l bought a big gazebo from B&m last year and got to the end and bits were missing. So l went back to the store and they replaced them without me spending hours taking it back down. Unlike Aldi where l have thousands of pounds since it opened as l go every week. But l will only ever buy groceries from now on.My friend said he will take the damaged shade to his machine shop and repair me the thread. Thanks for nothing Aldi.
