This is Mynewmove.co.uk Don't be fooled by the change of name. Not sure how they managed to do it! Someone informed me that they had a change of name on trustpilot and to my surprise, found out that instead of Mynewmove at mynewmove.co.uk, it is now Local Move which directs you to a completely different site. The whole point of a site like Trustpilot is to leave informative and truthful reviews so that other people know what they are in for. Anyway, my experience with this company was dreadful to say the least. True, they are cheap compared to the others out there but their services are nothing short of a scam. They are very slow, they pass you on to another company (because noone at that firm is an actual solicitor-- ??), they do not reply after they get the money and do not do any work. They are not worth the stress! Avoid mynewmove for your own sanity. Seriously, spend the extra couple hundred pounds you would normally by using a proper solicitor, go on with your day and be thankful you avoided them. In their case: buy cheap, lose your head!

Worst Conveyancers in the UK..!

I used this company to instruct solicitors for myself (the seller) and for my daughter who was buying my property. It was a straight forward conveyancing job that started in November 2020 and by the beginning of September 2021 I'd had enough as we still had not completed the sale. After all the hassle that I was put through during this time, I had to pull the plug on the sale in order to keep my sanity. DO NOT go anywhere near the two firm's of solicitors involved, PM Property Lawyers and PCS Legal as they are absolutely useless and are incapable of carrying out their jobs properly. I have lost quite a bit of money during this whole fiasco involving these people so, You HAVE BEEN WARNED...!

Terrible company

Terrible company. I paid the deposit but 3 days later the house sale fell through. I emailed Mynewmove strat away but got no response. I waited over a month but nothing so i called them to ask for my deposit back but was told they would only pay me £50 from my deposit of £289.00 as they had already conducted searches. I find it hard to believe they had completed all the searches in 3 days. Avoid.

RUN THE FASTEST OF THEM

I searched online for conveyancing quotes, and MyNewMove returned as the cheapest search result.

They were quick to respond to emails, so I decided to give them a go.

They work in partnership with PCS Legal.

In the beginning, they respond quickly to emails.

Now they don't respond... I don't know anything else about my process and to make matters worse the seller is wanting to give up because the process is coming up in 20 weeks!

I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY IN ANY EVENT!

CASE :LCB/Walker/61201/LCB
Mynewmove in conjunction with PCLSolicitors. stole my £269 deposit. they both said no sale no fee! pcl took over 20 weeks conveyancing without completion. the vendor withdrew from the sale. as it was taking too long. mynewmove and pcl solicitors try to distance themselves from the fact that I havnt had my £269 returned. both the same company in cahoots. I have lost more than £269 as I lost endless hours emailing and phoning, a lot of the replies were automated responses and they never got back!
appalling service from both.

my new move

I searched online for conveyancing quotes, and MyNewMove returned as the cheapest search result.

They were quick to respond to emails, so I decided to give them a go.

They allocated PCS Legal as my solicitors, who were great value for money.

I would happily use both again.

I spent some time searching online for Conveyancing services to handle the sale of my first apartment and largely because of the favourable reviews and an initial phone call settled on Local Move.
I don’t think i could have chosen better; the customer service experience from first contact to completion was faultless. I was kept informed, advised and steered through the process in a timely, efficient and most professional manner.
The fixed conveyancing fee was i thought real value for money and the FREE voucher was a generous gesture.
I am very grateful to the Local Move team and would return with confidence if and when the occasion arises.

My Local Move have made a potentially very stressful house purchase with a strict deadline very smooth and seamless. With a very personal and friendly approach we were kept informed every step of the way.
I cannot praise Jane and her team highly enough they really do go the extra mile to ensure that we were kept informed throughout the process. The pricing was highly competitive and definitely good value given the quality of the service.

Review for first time buyers

Buying a house is stressful enough but with the added pressure of the Coronavirus pandemic, all we hoped for was a reliable solicitor.

Despite their increased workload (given the stamp duty holiday), Katherine and Jane were proactive, diligent and efficient.

As first time-buyers, we had plenty of questions. These were ALWAYS answered promptly.

Katherine & Jane went above and beyond to ensure we were treated fairly when it came to the nitty-gritty details of the purchase; asking all the relevant questions and adhering to our instructions. When the vendor's solicitor provided ambiguous answers, Katherine and Jane's persistent approach quite frankly saved us stress, time and money!

With every update, Katherine guided us along the process; explaining the situation over the phone AND following up any explanation with an email.

We have all heard the nightmare scenarios buyers have faced when dealing with solicitors. However, My Local Move are professionals who worked well under pressure and still continued to provide a 5 star service.

I hope this review truly reflects how appreciative I am of My Local Move and the service we received from them.

Absolutely AVOID My New Move!!

Absolutely AVOID My New Move!!

This company will conduct local authority searches on your behalf and then send your case to a third party law firm (in this case PCS Legal) to deal with the legal aspect - only to then find out the law firm are not on your lenders panel of approved solicitors and have to send your case to another solicitor who is to complete the sale.

Go back to My New Move and they will re-quote you higher then they initially quoted. If you challenge their practices or ask them anything in depth they will then refuse to continue the service and offer to refund any remaining monies.

I was always told "Buy cheap, buy twice" and this lot will remind you of that. Needless to say if the sale of my property falls through I will be seeking to take this company through litigation.

Poor service from their office by email. They were confused constantly by my inquiries, never returned my calls, and recommended a crap solicitor PSC Legals in Basildon. Most harrowing move of my life. Which has taken me until now to re cover.

Pay the extra money its worth it, honestly other wise your health is likely to suffer

Avoid this company

Avoid this company, they are a broker. They will pass you on to any Conveyancing company which gives them the most commission. If there are any issues with the conveyancing company they wont assist.

Not a great experience

Not a great experience. They are not conveyancing solicitors, but intermediaries. They allocate a solicitor, but don't seem to manage anything. They do the searches, everything else is the solicitors job. Getting responses was difficult. Prices changed once we were allocated to the solicitor, and it took me threatening to cancel dealing with them in order to be allocated to someone else, and then insisting that the solicitors agreed the pricing too.

The second solicitors missed deadlines, which meant we missed deadlines and had to put everything on hold because this then continued into lockdown.

**DO NOT USE** False advertisement

**DO NOT USE** False advertisement and not a solicitors.
We had an offer accepted on a property and instructed my new move to act on conveyancing for us. they advertised "no sale no fee" and fixed price solicitor fee's.
We paid our account opening fee and as soon as this happened we were then off loaded to another company called ConveyLaw who are an actual solicitors. my new move don't actually do your solicitor work for you. problems started straight away. Once we received the pack from the sellers solicitors ConveyLaw then increased our legal fees by £1,200 as they said they had to do some additional work on the land title that nobody was aware of initially. we weren't happy as we had been told it was a fixed fee. as a result with the increase in costs we had to pull out of the house as we couldn't afford the extra work at the minute and any more unexpected cost increases. My New Move then refused to refund our £299 that we have paid to them for the work even though they advertise no sale no fee and guaranteed quotes.
I have reported this company to Trading Standards, The SRA and the Legal Ombudsman,

Brandon the MD blamed me for purchasing a house with a complicated title needed more work which nobody would have ever been aware of. My advice, find a local company pay the extra £100 and have a quality solicitor do your work. not this company who then hand you of to a 3rd party makes the whole process a lot more complicated.
Possibly the worst solicitors(If they are one) i have ever dealt with.

Great so far

Great so far
My new move have been fab right from the start. I looked at a wide range of quotes for conveyancing solicitors, they were the best by far with the most competitive fees and the added bonus of the FREE buyer protection policy which covers my legal, mortgage and survey fees. I am happy so far and looking forward to completing.
Thank you!
