Poor service.

I purchased my vehicle from this garage and within just 2 weeks the turbo failed. They carried out what they described as a repair, but instead of replacing the full turbo they only replaced the turbine part of the unit.

Only 6 months later — after just 4-5k miles, which is completely normal use for a car — the turbo failed again. A reputable garage that has now replaced the turbo has advised that the original repair was poor, as only the turbine part was replaced rather than the full turbo assembly, which they said is not standard practice when a turbo has failed.

The second garage also confirmed oil was getting into the turbo system and the unit had failed again. Despite this, the original garage brushed off responsibility and were generally very unhelpful throughout.

What made the situation even more frustrating was that they expected me to transport the car back to them at my own expense, even though the vehicle was not in a proper condition to drive and they are over an hour away.

I was then left facing a £1,300 bill for a proper replacement turbo, while the separate warranty I had purchased would only cover around £800 of the cost, leaving me significantly out of pocket.

Very disappointing experience overall, especially given how quickly the original turbo failed after purchase and the lack of accountability shown when the issue happened again.

Except throughout

Purchased a car from David, no pressure and was given plenty of time to look round and have a test drive. Car was prepared to a high standard, had a few queries after purchase which were attended too swiftly.

Bought a car

Bought a car, no stress no pressure, had a few issues but all sorted working with George. Polite and professional throughout the process. Would use again.
