The packaging is not well done! Everything is falling apart by the time it gets to you.

Meals are not tasty and all and few choices for low carb

This company is very disappointing. Their food is good but their customer service is really bad. I sent an email to cancel my subscription back in June because I was traveling for a few months. All of a sudden in August they billed me $125. I am not home to receive the meals plus I did not order them and their customer service failed and was very poor. Be careful! There are many great meal companies out there.

Portions small; mostly tasteless; threw away more than I ate. Skipped an order/shipment and it arrived anyway - meals I did not select but was charged for. Customer service sent a link to cancel but it was a challenge to navigate and find the right page to cancel my account. Also found out that if you don't order each week or skip, they select meals and ship to you.

A couple of things could be very much improved.
1) For a company using the name "metabolic meals" - which to me implies a level of healthiness, I will say that the meals I recieved & fixed were very greasy, very. One meal included a hamburger patty with cheese & some fries; after microwaving we could pour grease out of the container, and the fries were soaked.
2) Not tasty, not fresh like others
3) unlike some delivery choices, we were not able to state what we couldn't eat; I can't have garlic, so was unable to use several of the meals; some sites allow for naming restrictions
4) Twice the meals arrived thawed or mostly thawed
5) a lot of packaging waste, plus the plastic trays; we didn't like that at all and finally
6) We found it more challenging than necessary to cancel the subscription. We contacted Customer Service, and asked them to cancel immediately, and explained why. They told us that we had to do that ourselves, and we questioned the validity of that statement. But we did cancel ourselves, and then received another delivery (which was also thawed). We contacted Customer Service again, and were told we didn't cancel quickly enough.

Meals were good, but customer service was extremely rude and dismissive. Charged me multiple times for several hundred dollars without my consent and they refused to take responsibility.

Some of the meals are not that good like the Turkey with sherry wine sauce. The pork tenderline was not good either. It would be nice to rate meals like Factor did

I have had Metabolic Meals for three weeks now, and have to say that the meals are very good for the most part. Yes, I have had two awful meals (meat very tough and chalky), but those have been the exceptions. I look forward to continuing to get the meals, and hope things will be better in the future.

The food is terrible and they will not cancel your subscription in a timely manner and will keep sending you more meals and charging you.

If I could give it a zero I would. I have ordered home meals for some time - Factor, Clean Eatz, Tempo etc. and have been generally satisfied. I decided to try these as something different. Waste of money.
1.) They ship using fed ex and I am not sure if this happens with them or during shipping but the meals were MUSH by the time they arrived. Every meal is like a stew, mixed and mush.
2.) Reached out to customer service. Thought they could replace, refund or take them back. No options for that at all. You are just stuck with meals you can't eat. Customer service sends the same plated message - no returns, no refunds (basically we are sorry we sent you garbage but to bad)
3.) The reviews on their website are either paid reviews or sanitized - read the offsite reviews for the true info. Wish I had.
4.) If you are trying it CANCEL the subscribe immediately. There is an option, otherwise you will be charged for the next box before your first one even arrives, double disappointment.
Run don't walk from this business. Save your hard earned money.

When I placed my first order, it was not transparent that I signed me up for a subscription. I really thought I had chosen to buy when I want. That is not the case.
Not only are they sending me more food that I won't be in town to eat but it's also $150 that I needed to go to bills.
Incredibly dishonest on the front end and not transparent enough.
It's sad that they had to TAKE my money.

I’ve tried 2 meals so far. Meatloaf was ok but lacking much flavor, the other was beef in red wine and it was so tough and chewy it was almost inedible. I wish i could say I’m looking forward to the next meal but I can’t. So far I can’t understand why they have so many glowing reviews.
Having now tried a total of 4 meals my opinion hasn’t changed. Still not impressed, meals are really sub-standard, meat is always too chewy and veggies are always unpleasant. Regrettably I have another delivery this week and after that I’m finished with Metabolic Meals! They are overpriced, poor quality and almost inedible!

Be aware that you have to sign in Every Week to skip a week or choose meals. Otherwise, they will send you random meals you didn’t order. I forgot once before I went on vacation and they wouldn’t cancel the order which hadn’t been picked up by FedEx yet and no kind of compensation for the meals which will sit on my porch for three weeks. Not very understanding or flexible. Meals aren’t fabulous anyway. Tough meats and watery veggies. I would look elsewhere.

Honestly, I really like most of the meals so far. They are a perfect portion for one person. I love how you can scan the barcode on meal tracking apps. I think they taste great, better than other meal delivery places for sure.
Regarding the people talking about not being able to cancel in time, they send you an email before the deadline. Also you can cancel auto delivery all together. I did it and it wasn't difficult at all.

I ordered 6 meals just to try it at the price of $60.94. They delivered for 3 weeks before I could stop it! I paid a total of $321.68 for some tiny frozen dinners! The food is good, but NOT THAT GOOD! Definitely not worth the price. There is so much shipping waste as well. Terrible for the environment.

Superficially, the meals appear more appetizing than many competitors. However, in reality, they are for the most part bland and not very tasty. Some are oddly low in fiber. The portions also tend to be small, and they are quite pricey.
Cancelling requires active engagement from the customer; otherwise, they will arbitrarily send you orders.
Their customer service isn’t very good.

I tried Metabolic Meals. The food was terrible. Bland and watery vegetables. The meat was tough. I had to chop up the beef and put sauce on it to make it edible. Definitely not worth the money. I cancelled my subscription.

HORRIBLE! Food was very bland, watery… very small portions . Trying to cancel was ridiculous. Left multiple voicemails and emails to get automated responses directing you to cancellation options thay don’t exist!! STAY AWAY

I had high hopes as the instagram pictures do look very good. The food is just average (thats not my main issue though, factor is better). First off, their delivery will leave you in the dark on the arrival but the first order was delivered during the middle of the day during a work day (factor delivers on Sunday afternoon, which is nice). The biggest issue is they just decided to sign me up and picked meals for me without every telling me in advance they were going to do this and then of course charged my account over $140 meals for 6 meals ($23 a meal for frozen food). I have now cancelled this service. I cant in good faith recommend this meal service company

I thought I had initially canceled subscription. Cancelling is not very user friendly. I didn’t place my order, so they ordered for me. Instead of my usual six meals they ordered 8 meals, and charged me $129.00. I tried calling via phone no agents available any time of the day. Sent an email asking for a refund. Meals haven’t been shipped out yet. Finally received an email reply saying I didn’t meet deadline, can’t cancel order. Food isn’t that great, and very costly. I did receive confirmation that I did cancel subscription early today. But have concerns from other comments they will order again for me. Believe they are a scam, BEWARE!

The meals were very tasty and are portion-controlled which is great for weight loss. What I don't like is that they don't provide a specified time frame for delivery of their meals. My last order was supposed to arrive on a Wednesday but actually arrived a while day late on Thursday. I tried contacting their customer service department with a phone number they provided, but received a recording saying that no customer service representatives were available to help me. I then emailed them, and they responded that they were checking with the shipper, but never got back to me to let me know what the problem was or when I could expect delivery. For that reason, I have cancelled the service because there are many other fresh meal delivery services out there to choose from. I have also used Factor, which have very good meals as well. What I like about Factor is they send an email the morning of your delivery day specifying the time frame in which your meals will arrive. Metabolic Meals should do the same!
