First contracted with MCW for $3400 in October 2022. I met with five women. #1 was at least 15 kgs. above her profile weight and was recently out of an eight year abusive relationship (she is no longer on MCW). #2 was looking for someone exceptional and I wasn’t him (her profile remains the same today). #3 was barely recognizable because she used filters to cover her facial blemishes (her profile remains the same today). #4 wanted me to pay $3500 for breast augmentation and build her a house in Switzerland (her profile is updated). #5 was a good match that resulted in a 22 month courtship, until I spent two months with her in Bogota, and saw that she had poor emotional regulation. She is no longer on MCW.
Round two with MCW in May 2026. #1 (Betty at age 47, divorced twice—which is not part of her profile), was a fantastic match that resulted in two dates. She definitely slew me—I am as guilty as can be. She even claimed to be a believer in God. I thought that I finally found my match. We discussed what her moving to the USA would look like, and she said plans can be made to prepare things here. Everything looked fantastic. Then silence for two days. Then she is not ready to even think about marriage, and is "trying to put her life back together," wants to build a friendship first, and we scheduled another date. She said that I was a perfect gentleman, admitted that it was not fair to the men for her to be on MCW, and even decided to request that her MCW provide be deleted. Then she doesn’t want to become friends because of the distance, cancelled the date, but we exchanged emails. Then she decides to stay on MCW without telling me, and writes, “I want nothing to do with you.” #2 couldn’t stay off her phone, and was completely disengaged during the date. #3 couldn’t maintain eye contact for more than a total of 3 minutes during a 1.5 hour date. #4 was 10 kilograms plus over her profile weight at 155 centimeters. Nice woman who refused to update her profile as requested (she provided one facial photo). I requested videos of all the dates before they were scheduled, and only #1 had a YouTube video because she was recently recruited by MCW. Despite being told that all the women would submit videos, it never occurred. The website is 15 years old and profiles are up to ten years old. Alex Klobel runs the business and website. He has a few paid translators that do an excellent job. This is a legitimate matchmaking agency. This is the data; draw your own conclusions.

Overall, very positive experience. They provided an interpreter which was great for my comfort level. Met several women and developed a wonderful bond with one in particular and we are currently perusing things together.

I used my colombian wife service for a trip to Bogota Colombia. They helped me with everything from my ride from the airport to the hotel they recommended and the ride back to the airport. Very safe. I had several scheduled dates with different woman and then 2nd and 3rd dates. Had a good time, made a lot of friends.

Very honest and sincere desire to match people looking for a long term relationship.

Complete scam; stay away. no transparency as to refund policy. Will pressure you to send $4,000 "immediately" in order to " secure" bookings "which are going fast". Once you pay, complete silence from the owner Alexander. Horrible website and clumsy/clunky use to access female profiles, most of which are inactive. STAY AWAY from this agency at all costs. Attempted to get a refund as they provide very little guidance, support, or replies to emails despite promising to do all 3, when you pay the fees, there is NO MENTION OF THEIR REFUND "POLICY" until you ask for one. Horrible experience.

My feeling of the experience is mixed or in the middle of the road. I will try my best to be empirical and objective. I have evidence of my statements and I'm posting this review for other clients to be aware. I have tried to communicate internally with the company several times before doing this post.

Client safety is important to them. You will be safe as long as you follow their instructions and be mindful at all times.

On the other hand I found the trip to be frequently and constantly unprofessional and disorganized. This was pretty frustrating honestly and I wish I had planned the trip myself at times. This affected some of the dates due to the lack of planning and not just from my perspective/opinion as the client.

Before the trip there are several meetings or interviews to discuss planning and build the client profile.

However after the trip it has been a full month and I have been ignored by their team despite multiple attempts to reach out during the past few weeks. I was told I would receive a follow up report too about how to improve myself and I have not received that a month after the trip completion as well.

Their team is pretty mindful and caring about the women.

Sometimes I was blamed for things that weren't my fault during the course of the trip.

My overall feelings were mixed because there was some good and some bad aspects. Currently I'm being ignored (unreturned calls and unreturned messages) and I'm clearly not important to their team since they would rather post on YouTube every few days than reply to my multiple communications about the trip follow up from one or two weeks or three weeks ago. Again, not professional.

Onboarding was kind of the most robust experience with the pre trip meetings and it's when you'll receive the most attention and communication.
During the trip do not expect a Western or US standard of service. Do not. The trip will be fine but keep expectations modest.
After the trip expect very little attention from them as they will move on to other clients and other activities.

I did not discuss the women and the dates in this review in an attempt to be objective.

So, Lorena was a perfect consultant from the beginning of my travel. She made sure that the meetings we're arranged with all the ladies. In total I have met 7 ladies but the first meeting with Ana Maria was the best. From the beginning there was al great clique and we're planning to get married by the end of this year! The only thing Is didn't like was the City of Bogota. The height sickness, pollution and traffic doesn't make it a favourable city. So maybe the agency should think in the near future to arrange the meetings in another city.

They are sincere and legit (not a scam like others), but they could offer much more value for what they charge. I paid 3,200 for meeting up to 3 women per day for a week, but only had five introductions. I asked for some type of consideration or partial refund but none was offered. You will also pay extra for the interpreter's time which surprised me considering the fee (you also pay for everything associated with the date which was expected). I did see one review on Youtube where a guy paid 1200 for five introductions.

I came to Bogota to meet eight women that myColombianwife set up for me. Everything went very smoothly and they took excellent care of me when I was in Bogota for a week, providing me a fantastic guide and interpreter, Javier.
The first date went very well and she and I decided to have a second. She later changed her mind.
The next six were very nice women, but there was no real click, especially considering the hoops that you have to jump through to bring someone to the US.
Contestant number eight was a winner. We clicked from the moment we laid eyes on each other. We had a second date, just hours before I had to fly back home.

We have been in nearly continuous communication and are planning to meet up in Puerto Vallarta in a few weeks since Colombians can travel to Mexico without a visa. It has been 25 years since I felt the connection that I now feel to my eighth date.

I traveled to Bogota from July 4-13th to explore Colombia, immerse myself in local culture and of course meet the ladies. All of the ladies I met were very sincere and genuine with great hearts. They were all smart and well educated. I was incredible impressed with how interested they became in learning more about me and my overall background situation. Because I am interested in finding a lifelong partner, I was NOT planning on a couple coffee dates an a ring proposal. I am on this journey for the long haul and to find my perfect partner. At this point, I continue the journey. MCW has done an amazing job locating the types of ladies who fit my expectations. They all were incredibly amazing. I want to spend more time with all of them. Of course, the time will come where the list must be narrowed. At this time, I am working on a follow-up trip in order to continue evaluating and assessing which "one" is my IT girl. I anticipate this journey will take months as I need to be cautious after a long term marriage ended, tragically. The Translator was amazing and all the activities allowed me to engage in local culture which was just as important as meeting the candidates. Now, I am working to schedule a follow-up trip to continue my journey. I am much more comfortable now that I discovered MCW is legitimate and they do have interest in creating the perfect match. I am excited to follow this course to its final destination! Thank You MCW for making my dreams come true after six long years of dead end dating. These ladies are the REAL Deal and MCW does the Best they can to overcome the language barriers and to aid with effective communication amongst all parties involved. I am committed to following this journey to its ultimate completion. ALL smiles at this point.

Mycolombianwife does a great job of staying focused on what the goal is, and for most I'm sure it's finding a long term relationship or possibly marriage. They pay close attention to every detail.

I had the opportunity to use the introductory services with MCW in August 2023. My personal experience was very positive. I had the chance to meet half a dozen ladies. All ladies I interviewed with were really nice and were college educated. I enjoyed my visit to Bogotá very much. The city has lots to offer. I was able to discover more about the city thanks to the women I was interviewing with. It was worth the chance and I am happy I did it.

The agency known as My Colombian Wife is a fraud.
1. The review written by James was wrote by the owner Alexander, I know this because I know how to verify internet posts
2. I contacted Alexander in order to better understand his services. He then began to continuously call me. I blocked his calls after the 3rd call, there were a total of 68 blocked calls in a month and 15 more in a 2 day period, this seems like desperation.
I emailed Alexander and his response was that I had made an appointment and needed to pay a down payment, I had never signed a contract or agreed to anything
3. I have some lady friends that live in Bogota, I had them contact MCW and they were informed unless they are active escorts that they could not become members

You can believe me or not , it is your money and time that will be wasted

The comment made by Alexander is a lie and I can prove it to anyone who wants to verify

I’m just concluding my trip, I’m leaving Bogotá this afternoon when I sit down to write this review, I thought I would read some of the other reviews. I would like to clearly and unequivocally state that I have not ever met anyone that works for this agency prior to my visit. I read some of the negative reviews. Most of what is said I do not believe it’s true. I’m not sure if they’re in Bogotá you could spend $1000 on lunch? The idea that people are following you down the street asking you questions let’s not forget there’s a bit of a language barrier? And I think that it’s important to keep in mind just like I’m looking for something very specific. I would also think that the women are also looking for something specific so of course they have been on other dates. They are clients as well and I do think My Colombian Wife strives to protect both the woman and the men. My experience was I was communicated with on a very regular basis by the service. If I had a complaint, I might say they communicated too much? I found the interpreters to be incredibly professional, it also was a bit of a comfort when my interpreter had some knowledge of the person I was meeting it certainly helps to flow the conversation. I was here for only three days Due to my work schedule, I had four dates and I found every one of the women to be prettier than their pictures very inquisitive. They wanted to know about my work where I lived what my life is like only daily basis. Of course, these are all the things I wanted to know about them all of the women that I met had considerable jobs and a nice life they are currently living based on that I would say they’re looking for a partner that makes sense for them as well. I did not get the feeling that any of the people that I met we’re desperate at all . So two of the women I find to be quite a possibility for myself, I will be staying in contact with them. I am planning to see them again. I travel a lot internationally and I do business internationally I would say I’m not easily fooled with that in mind I would like to speak about my experience with the founder Alexandra I met him for a lunch, have a conversation with him that spand many subjects . I guess I could see if you’re only used to American men he’s going to be different. I found him to be quite a kind soul, I think that he has a genuine interest in connecting people, and I think that his interest is in connecting people for a long-term successful relationship, and if you think about the job that he has, I would say it’s a little more complicated than one would think you’re taking two people from entirely different parts of the world who have very different experiences and trying to do this in about an hour?? And then of course, being in business myself half the time you’re trying to manage risk so you’re bringing someone who doesn’t speak Spanish into a very large city. Part of their job is trying to keep everyone safe and for them to have a good experience can that be done 100% of the time probably not. I would like to spell one miss I’ve read that these women are going on days just for free dinner I find that laughable however, I have seen that happen in the US! So good experience for me

After I posted this the SCAMMER flagged my review to try to silence me claiming I was writing dangerous or harmful statements. The moderators of this website looked over it and reposted it.

Most of the women are post wall veteran daters not 20 to 30 like he tries to say in his lie below they've met many men, so they say, and reject everybody( because they're post wall women) so what do many of the women get out of it.. a free dinner and The SCAMMER gets thousands of dollars

The interpreter is not his staff he hires an interpreter for $10 from the show you around website in order to follow through with his SCAM

You will pay $1,000 for lunches and dinners to please these veteran daters

Of course the SCAMMER lies saying $10 is the highest price in Columbia restaurants

The SCAMMER States below that I'm too low income I'm a teacher for a university... So now the SCAMMER is attacking a teacher's income to try to save his SCAM how cute.... Let me know how that works out for your reputation SCAMMER

These women were becoming really good friends with The interpreter because The interpreter assisted on so many dates before me with the same girls many times and rejected so many men this was an open conversation we had.

From what I've experienced and seen I'm pretty sure all these five star ratings are from him and his friends to further his SCAM

Now he'll come on here and say I'm lying about everything which is fine but take my advice....

If you do go to Columbia try tinder and bumble I met a beautiful 24 year old on there and we had a good time there's a website called show around you can hire people for like 5 or $10 an hour and they will show you around and interpret for you.

If you do use bumble and tinder please understand that just because you're a foreigner doesn't mean these women are going to jump on you you still have to be a gentleman and good time.

Bottom line guys find a legit company however I still recommend using the apps

I met a wonderful lady through Alexander and his team. I went on 5 dates and afterwards stuck with one.
Great places to go eat and see. I can't wait to go back to see her again. We stay on touch through WhatsApp.

I came across mycolombianwife doing a web search, and signed up and took my first trip about a month later and met a few woman, the dates were easy to set up, but I met my special woman and canceled the rest of my dates and spent all my time with her it was amazing. We kept in contact after I left and over the phone we set up our wedding and the second time I went to Colombia some of my family was with me and I married the woman of my dreams all thanks to mycolombianwife, I would definitely recommend this site to all single men looking for a genuine woman to brighten their life. These woman are real and are looking for men who are family oriented and caring and pretty much the complete opposite of the men in Colombia and you could be that lucky man just like I was.

In 2015 I travelled to Bogota, Colombia for 12 days after being in contact with some ladies of the website. Alexander had arranged 2 to 3 meetings per day for me and after 4 days, my interest stayed with 2 ladies. The week after I reduced the new meetings and focused on getting to know the ladies of my interest (values, objectives in life, interest in me, country,...) You don't want to end up with a golddigger, nor someone who's not interested in you as a person to love... At the end of the 12 days, I started a relationship with the lady who ticked the boxes. After my travel, the girl travelled 8 times to Europe to build upon our relationship and find out whether this was really going to work with the kids too. She had a son, and I had 2 kids from previous marriage. 13 months later I proposed in Paris and since then we are now almost 5 years married and still going strong. It's hard work to make it work, invest in building a strong foundation and ignore the critics around you. If you find the lady with the right values, she will be your biggest support. All the best !
