We had the big freeze here in central Texas so I bought one of these online. The storm was over by the time it arrived. I connected everything per the instructions but the valve wouldn't go past "pilot" without pushing it down. If you push it down to move it to low, medium, or high the flame goes out. I tried several times holding it down for well over a minute each time. Searched online to find it's a known issue, so I call the support line. The phone system tells me there's a 2 hour wait, so I use their online contact form. Someone name Chris replied last week that I didn't give enough info, so I send the rest of the info. Two more business days, no contact. So I drive almost 50 miles round trip to exchange it. I get home and the right port is cross threading my kegs. I can screw both kegs on the left port with no issue. Both attempt to cross thread on the right. Where's the QC? So I go to Facebook to send a message and the auto reply says to click this link for live chat. The link doesn't even go to live chat. Where is the support? This is another company that want to sell a product to reap the profits, but not secure proper support for their product. 28 Jan I requested support. It's 3 Feb. and I still don't have a working heater. I cannot recommend companies like this. Not to mention there is a design flaw in their thermocouple and valve. You have to play with it to get the heater to work. The way it should work is the thermocouple gets to a certain temperature and allows the valve to turn freely without pushing it down. Both units do this.
It's throwing out fumes, donot want another one it's cold too cold for this mess..also pilot take about 3 to 4 clicks to light. This interferes with my heart beat and head.its not worth your life.
have had several, and had issues with all of them, web page doesn't support Canada, and they neither answer their phone or call back if you request one.
none of the parts I can find on line will fix my heater, or if they might they are sold out, or no longer available
little buddy heater,it is either off or on high heat (others can adjust heat low to high) pilot light on continuasly ( others don't) only lasts 6 hours (others last up to 12 Hours) has small base compared to others, unstayble. heat from it goes strait up (other spread heat more evenly).there are better ones out their.
I bought a brand new 25,000 btu garage heater and installed it and it didn't work. I hired a tech who stated it was the gas valve and Mr heater sent out a new valve. I contacted the tech again but he said it was for a propane valve and not a gas valve. Anyway I had techs come out 4 times with a charge of $740 and Mr Heater only reimbursed me $495. They even told me to send in the receipt s and I did. I wasted hours, months and money on a brand new heater that should have worked from the beginning. It is very disappointing that it had to end this way. I will not be buying any more products from Mr Heater
Focus Camera sold me a malfunctioning camping water heater for dang near $400. They wouldn't help me. I got ahold of Mr. Heater who informed me I was sold a unit that was 3+ years old. They sent me a brand new unit, free of charge. They know how to take of their customers.
