2 stars for general usefulness and battery stamina.

It loses 3 stars because it is very unstable. The load height and rear casters make it unstable. If veering away by the smallest amount from straight down when descending a slope this barrow will turn over. Once it begins it's near impossible to prevent a spill. It can even happen on the flat if you turn and apply the brake! You need to place a lot of weight on the handles to prevent it from tipping and that makes the use of the brake less effective as it takes the weight off the front wheel. To summarise, the handlebar is too high, making control of instability difficult and I'm almost 6ft, too!

Load height makes shovelling direct from barrow difficult, and filling with a cement mixer even on a stand would be impossible due to its height.

Tipping is ineffective on the whole and requires further intervention to empty the load. When tipping a heavy load the leading edge of the barrow will buckle.

Design improvements would include a reversing function as it's far to easy to jam the machine against obstacle facing downhill. This is because the rear casters will need to be realigned before it can be easy to reverse.

The Mower Magic site video shows it being used on a steep slope, a label on the machine states 12 degrees max (1 in 8). In any case, you must go straight down a slope and not change direction under any circumstances unless you are willing to spill your load.

The Mower Magic site states max load of 150kg, a label on the machine says 120kg max. I would recommend no more than 100kg - if that, for the above stability reasons.

However, I can imagine this machine will prove useful if far more limited than what I expected.

Ordered Sherpa garden trolley, received 2 days later, a call enquiring re assembly details was answered and immediately sorted, spare nuts bolts sent next day. Cart now in use on our bowling green. Good product and very efficient and excellent service from MOWER MAGIC.

Brilliant service

I tried to find a replacement ignition coil for my 3year old brush cutter from local suppliers. The original vendor informed me that they were not able to source a replacement but would happily sell me a new brush cutter!
Mower Magic had the part I required and got it to my door a week later on the opposite side of the globe for a fair price.

Excellent advice and after sales service.

Purchased a Hayter mower from Mower Magic.
Was a bit undecided about which mower to choose when my old mower expired but Mower Magic were very helpful and the advice i got helped me decide which model to go for.
Mower arrived within a day of ordering by DPD which gave me a 1 hour delivery slot which was most helpful and saved staying in all day.
Unfortunately a wheel had been damaged in transit but it was a simple matter to email sales who quickly arranged for the mower to be collected and replaced with a new machine.
I am delighted with my purchase and cant rate them high enough for sales and after sales service plus their prices are very competitive.

Great Machine. (buy the hose kit as well)

My property has approximately 200 trees, and while the majority of the leaf fall is onto lawns where it can be dealt with by the ride on mower, I needed a way to clear the driveway, parking areas and pathways.
In the past this has entailed three people armed with a blower, wheel barrows, rakes, leaf gloves and shovels spending 2 hours every Sunday afternoon until there are no leaves left on the trees.
Last weekend I covered the same ground, armed only with the Sherpa Leaf Vacuum, in 35 minutes, filling the bag 6 times in the process. Such was the volume of leaves it had to cope with.
I must admit that I was initially put off this machine because of it's low price compared to others on the market. Now my only regret is that I didn't buy the hose pipe kit at the same time.
I'm hugely impressed.

Need to say a GREAT BIG THANK YOU to Mower Magic for
an unbeatable service, Both for delivery & quality of the SHERPA WHEELED LEAF VACUUM, My wife & myself are both retired and not able to sweep up like we used to so the Sherpa leaf vacuum has stopped us being buried in a mountain of leaves & rubbish.

Excellent value and performance Sherpa Leaf Vacuum

I have taken delivery of a Sherpa Leaf Vacuum and am delighted with it.
I have used a Billy Goat for 22 years and it was coming to the end of its useful life.
The Sherpa has a much larger bag and, being nylon, is much easier to empty than the felt B G bag.
The bag double zip is much better positioned being either side of the rectangular bag back - whereas the B G had a single zip at the side/bottom of the bag which meant it was strained when fairly full.
The bag has a much more rigid bottom than the B G making it very much easier to clean out the last remnants of leaf litter - no more bits clinging to the felt.
The single height adjustment lever is easy to use and I much prefer it to the multiple adjusters on the B G,
It copes much better with twigs and small branches that get into leaves at this time of year.
I have used the Sherpa on my extensive gravel drive and it picks up just the leaves and not the gravel. It does this rather better than the BG did.
The Sherpa is excellent value for money being about 60% less than the equivalent sized B G - the KV 600.
,All round excellent value - quality will tell over time - and the service from the team at Mower Magic was first class throughout the questioning, procurement and delivery. Many thanks team for an excellent product and first class customer service.

Excellent service

I recently bought new blades for a Stiga ride-on. I wasn't sure which part to order, but Jez Hall couldn't have done more for me including contacting Stiga in Sweden and getting them to unbox and send photos. Package arrived within a few days. Brilliant service and special thanks to Jez for all his help.

I recently bought a new switch( two ) …

I recently bought a new switch( two ) for my Flymo Twister 2000.

There was a slight delay in shipping,for the part had to be sourced, but I was kept informed of progress.

I was very pleased to fit the new switch and then hear the leaf blower back in action.

Good service but expensive

I have used this company to buy accessories and parts for my robotic mower (Robomow). I've found the service and advice given to be good. However, as the main dealer for such mowers they appear to have very little competition and parts come at a premium price.

Battery powered mower

Wanted to discuss battery powered mowers - was given some options that best fitted my needs (size of lawn etc) and budget. Couldn't be happier with the Ego model that was recommended. Collected rather than had delivered. Was powered and ready for use. Was served by a guy who showed me how it all worked, fitted together, folded away etc, so I left with a mower I could use immediately, with understanding how to use it and store it. They even talked me out of buying a spare battery, as would have been a waste of my money. No hesitation recommending.

Ordered hedge trimmer on Sunday 9…

Ordered hedge trimmer on Sunday 9 September; instant acknowledgment and receipt for payment. Then nothing! E-mailed Thursday morning 13 September and received an email saying it was out for delivery. Got tracking details and apparently it's been in the local depot since Monday. Someone rang from the delivery company saying they couldn't find the house - I gave them detailed instructions (this at 3.10pm); my house is the only one with this postcode and I've not experienced any problems with other delivery companies. It's now almost 5.30 - still nothing. Not impressed to think I fell for the "free next day delivery". It should have been here on Tuesday - where is it?

Warranty not a good as expected…

When my mower was one year old I took it back for its first service to maintain its warranty. In the shop I was told the cost would be £49 and it would be ready within two weeks. After three weeks there had been no update so I phoned them to find out what was happening. I was told that it appeared the mower was ready and that I should have been contacted, there was also an invoice of just over £66 because they had fitted some new parts. I requested an explanation as to why I was being charged for new parts when the machine was under warranty. The call taker could not explain and said he would get the workshop to ring me back to explain. I am awaiting their call and will update this review after I know more. At the moment I am a bit disappointed. Update it seems the company has an incorrect phone number for me and they have made an attempt to contact me. The parts fitted are deemed by them to be consumables so the warranty is not as good as I had expected.

A very professional and friendly company

A very professional and friendly service was given by Mower Magic.
The delivery service was excellent, with next day delivery given as advertised.
I would certainly recommend buying from this company who also offer an excellent customer service line.

I got in touch to return a mower that…

I got in touch to return a mower that was broken on arrival. Was a few months after delivery but I was hopefully they’d sort it, as it had been delivered at Christmas and I didn’t have a reason to mow the lawn until April. Unfortunately not that simple - had to point out I was entitled to a replacement under consumer regs. Shame I had to resort to that, but the big problem was the blatant rudeness I had to put up with on the phone - mainly from a supervisor, believe it or not - who told me I was wrong (I wasn’t), said things like “wow”, interrupted me, and clearly thought I was being totally unreasonable and was going to do nothing to help. No-one said ‘sorry to hear that’ or asked me what the problem was. After convincing them of the consumer law position by email and sending photos, the mower was picked up the next day, and a replacement sent out a few days later — that bit was perfect, so why the pointless, blatant rudeness before-hand?! If they’d just dealt with me politely I’d have nothing but positive things to say. Unfortunately I’ll never buy from them again. I hope they record their calls - if not, they should, as I imagine the owners, assuming they’re decent people who value a basic level of professionalism in their staff, would be shocked.
