Brought my new car on the 3rd of may all seemed good as I drove away one happy girl.
Got a letter from DVLA on the 12th to say I was no longer the owner of the car.
After investigation it turned out that my new car had been booked back into morotpoint on the 5th and the tax cancelled so which meant I was driving the car with no tax for a week.
Had to sort myself at an extra cost and a V62 form at local post office to re-register car in my name and tax.
Very disappointed

I found the whole experience at Motorpoint really easy and hassle free. You are allowed time to look round the cars without anyone following you. Also the team are really friendly and professional would highly recommend them.

I specifically searched for a car with…
I specifically searched for a car with a reversing camera, and this vehicle was clearly advertised as having one—both on AutoTrader and the dealer’s own website.
Based on that, I made a 3-hour round trip to view it.
From the moment I arrived, the experience was poor. The showroom was quiet, yet instead of showing us the car, the salesperson vaguely pointed to an area and left us to find it ourselves.
When we eventually located the vehicle, it became clear it did not have a reversing camera as advertised. I had to show them their own listings before they acknowledged it—and even then, there was no apology for the inconvenience or wasted journey.
Despite this, we were still open to doing a deal.
However, things went further downhill:
* When I asked about price flexibility, I was told there was none because they “wouldn’t get finance commission” from a cash buyer.
* For part exchange, I was given a figure £3,500 lower than quotes from BMW and other garages—without even inspecting my car.
* When I challenged this, the response was dismissive and rude: “Well go to BMW then.”
The attitude throughout was arrogant and unprofessional. To make matters worse, the salesperson then openly spoke negatively about me to a colleague nearby.
When I raised the issue of false advertising again, the response was dismissive: “These cars don’t normally have a reversing camera.” That’s irrelevant—the car was advertised as having one, and that’s why I travelled to see it.
In the end, the combination of misleading advertising, poor customer service, and lack of basic professionalism meant we walked away.
I did exactly what they suggested—I went to BMW and bought a car the same day.
I would strongly advise others to avoid this dealership.
