Absolute junk
Absolute junk! 3 days fully charged on a NoCo genius charger (one of the best charger's in the game) come up good on multimeter (not load tested) fitted battery to bike and dead flat in 3 day's ? Fully charged it again and wouldn't even turn my bike over! Took it to a mate that's an auto electrician who load tested it and it's a dud! So brand new not even a week old my $200 Motobatt battery is faulty (everyone I talked to told me! Everyone warned me about Motobatt batteries! There Absolute Shit! And they were exactly right!)
A faulty battery?
I bought a Motobatt MBYZ16H battery for my Harley more than ten years ago and it is still going strong, so when I thought my BMW R1250RT's was starting to fail, I decided to buy Motobatt again. As it happens it takes exactly the same battery. When it arrived, I installed it and pressed the starter. The motor started to turn over, then stalled. After a few more attempts and finding that it seemed to be struggling, I thought maybe it had lost some charge in storage, so I removed it and put it on charge using an Optimate 4 charger. A few hours later the charger said it was fully charged, so after cleaning up the bike and battery terminals I put it on the bike again and it seemed a bit better at starting it. I left it on charge on the bike overnight and next morning it was struggling to turn the motor over again. The battery was showing 13.25 volts but didn't have the power to crank the bike over. I ended up returning it and buying a Yuasa YTX14H instead, which worked fine straight out of the box.

5 months old and it had lost charge overnight.
Nothing was drawing current
The bike had been ridden 200 miles + the previous day, the alternator was putting 13v into it. The recovery man (5 hour wait) jumped the bike all was fine....took one look at the battery and said "replace it, it is faulty".
Now I have to decide whether to carry a faulty battery around Europe for 3 weeks to get my money back....or just chuck it
Second Motobatt battery to fail within…
Second Motobatt battery to fail within a year. I even kept it on a trickle charger. Yuasa are worth spending the extra for.
Purchased a Motobatt Hybrid battery in…
Purchased a Motobatt Hybrid battery in July 2024 (reference MHTX16) for my BMW GS Adventure (2015). The battery failed whilst out on a ride leaving me stranded by the side of the road. Complete failure of the battery resulting in the bike switching off. Purchased a traditional lead/acid battery and my bike was back on the road the next day operating correctly. A shame as I liked the Motobatt hybrid idea, but I understand other bikers have experienced similar issues. I am requesting a full refund.

When these first came out they were excellent batteries.
Since 2022 the two I've bought are already down to 12.2 volts when charged, even after being nurtured.
Simply buy Yuasa, never had an issue in 40 years.
I've been told by my supplier that they changed from being US produced to China a few years back now.
Yamaha grizzly 550 yfmeps
Don't know why they get bad ratings. Yamaha grizzly 550yfm eps, 6 and half years later is still starting the quad. Was in storage 9 months and still started, bit slow but fired up.
Bad Business bad products
For everyone that would consider to buy a MotoBatt battery…..my strong advice to you is DO NOT.
I’ll explain what happened in my case and you’ll be the judge.
So, I bought a MotoBatt MBTX20U (motorcycle battery) on September 29, 2023, today’s date is July 24, 2024. My battery just stopped charging and verified with professional testing tools. The diagnostics were reading “bad cell”. Based on that outcome I’ve contacted Amazon on July 2, 2024 (only 10 months into the two year warranty claim from Motobatt).
Amazon told me to contact the manufacturer (Motobatt) and file a claim for the damaged battery which rightfully should have been honored by Motobatt. After few emails and phone calls, trying to get a battery exchange or a refund, I was told by Motorbatt that they will not exchange, nor refund the battery, because was bought thru Amazon, and the best they can do would be a 20% off a new battery and free shipping. Now, this battery cost me $128.80 tax included, several hours spent to come to a resolution with Motobatt (manufacturer) and several weeks of not be able to ride my motorcycle during a good riding season.
As you see I am at great loss and forced to buy a different brand battery (that would stay behind their product 100%). I am greatly disappointed in Motobatt and their products, by not standing behind their products and I will make sure not to buy any of their products never again.
My motobat battery has died...
My motobat battery has died and its not even a month old. Its on trickle charge permanently, as soon as I take it off its dead. Absolute load of rubbish, should of read reviews before buying.
Worse than no battery.
Utter Junk.
Sure wish I'd read some reviews of Motobatt before I bought one. from new it had broken circuit/s inside. Utter rubbish and a goddam waste of materials, time and money. The worst part is I threw out the 20+ year old battery that at least acted as a capacitor. What a joke of a company, it's not like this is a new problem for these clowns.
The quality of the battery is very bad…
The quality of the battery is very bad not good battery and I don’t know why they send them out to customers flat ! Even when charger they die again ! Not recommended at all !night it not even week ago and it’s flat already
Motobatt robbed me!
I bought a motobatt battery through Slingmods. The Battery arrived DOA. I was instructed to provide them with all kinds of information and I did so. Motobatt failed to send a new battery, and after the tracking number expired, they told me that they would not send a new battery. I got screwed out of my money and now they want me to buy a new one. It took them a year to respond. I’ll never buy or EVER recommend them to anyone.
MotoBatt MBTX30U failure and no warranty
Had a interaction with Chad from MotoBatt customer service. The MotoBatt MBTX30U battery failed in 10 months. I did buy it from Amazon and they said they won't warranty it. They do realize that Amazon is the biggest online retailer in the US right??? He also proceeded to tell me if you don't keep a Battery Tender on it constantly that it will also not be warrantied. It actually died while being on a Battery Tender. Very rude customer service and the battery looks like it will perform well but its utter trash!! Then he proceeds to give me a code on my next purchase for $30 off a $160 battery that should have been warrantied. So much for made in America!!! Never again!!! Buy from someone that stands behind their products.
Had the same problem as Francis battery…
Had the same problem as Francis battery arrived dead flat charged for 24hrs started and stopped the bike 3/4 times battery dead flat again waste of £84 total rubbish
What a pile of junk
What a pile of junk, my battery was delivered as flat as a pancake on 22/4/23 so I charged it up at 2 amps it took 24 hours to charge fully, fitted it to the bike and tried to start it an all I got was a clunk, so I contacted the seller who is a massive eBay seller and they told me to return the top off the battery only and they will exchange it, so I sent the top back by signed for postage and now they clam after 10 day's that they haven't received the top, so no top no refund, SICK 85 POUND paid and no battery.
Motobatt please contact me if you dare
I cannot believe they advertise these batteries as good. 18months it lasted. It won't even charge. Don't bother. Stick to a proper brand. Utter RUBBISH
Expensive Garbage
MB12U - 2015 BMW G650GS. Completely failed in 1 year with no abuse. It appears well made but the insides must be JUNK. This is my 2nd Motobatt MB12U that has failed in less than 2 years. It charges to 13.2 Vdc indicated - however, on the analog test unit the voltage immediately drops to 6.5 Vdc under load. Battery was tested on 3 different test sets. All said Replace. Warranty is useless of course.
