The software didn't work properly. I spent a week back and forth with customer service. They had a 100 step program to actually get my charts functioning. The system is dated. I didn't end up using it for a single day and they refused a simple $50 refund. Keep the $50. I suggest to find a better platform with better customer care. McDonalds has better policy and you don't feel like you're in the 1070's trading through the 1st Microsoft graphics. Your charts look like 1987 Tetris. Garbage. Think that sums up my experience. Find another platform. Save the bucks. Enjoy your McMuffin.

I wanted to leave a review because this software is awesome and needs to be more well known. I've been looking to move away from tradovate for awhile and I finally found the right product for me. I needed more tools, customization and analysis and this was it. I am blown away by this software. I used the trial version over the weekend and after a few days of learning I decided that I wanted to buy this product and support the developers.

It packs a ton of features for a cost thats very competitively priced, easily beating out the competition. It's fully customizable and you can choose the version that suits your needs/trading level. It's also available for Mac/PC/Linux.

There are things to learn of course but they have a lot of videos and documentation that's easily searchable.

I don't have experience with support yet, but I will update on how that goes.

Love that they are based in Canada too!

Amazing platform, SDK and service, kudos!

An excellent and robust trading platform with all the studies and advanced features (advanced chartism, copy trading, TPO, order flow, advanced Elliott, multi desktop, multi instance, mobile apps, use with Propfirm, etc). For Mac owners, it runs natively on ARM architecture. The support responds quickly and updates are released regularly. It doesn't seem to be very well known in the French-speaking world, which is a shame for traders who are just starting out, especially on a Mac. I think it's a must-have for serious long-term iTraders.

Une excellente plateforme de trading, robuste et possédant toutes les stratégies et fonctionnalités avancées (chartisme avancé, copy trading, TPO, order flow, Elliott avancée, multi-desktop, multi-instance, mobile apps, connexion Propfirm, etc). Pour les possesseurs de Mac, elle tourne nativement sous architecture ARM. Le support répond rapidement et des updates sortent régulièrement. Elle me semble peu connu dans le monde francophone, c’est bien dommage pour les traders qui débutent, notamment sous environnement Mac. Un must have selon moi pour des iTraders sérieux dans la durée.

For about 10 years, I have been using the MotiveWave platform daily for Elliott Wave analysis and Java strategy programming. It provides excellent service and support, as well as ease of use. I can't say enough good things about the support team!

Amazing charting and order flow analysis platform for professional traders. Support is amazing and documentation is thorough. I love this platform.

I have been a MotiveWave user since November 2022. It is a great platform for individuals whose trading style is based on Order Flow, Volume Profile, TPO, and Price Action. You can trade futures, CFDs, stocks or options depending on your broker, so verify the list of brokers for MotiveWave on their website. The platform incorporates numerous indicators (studies) based on price action and volume. One noteworthy aspect of this platform is the option to purchase a lifetime license, a feature not offered by some other platforms. Here are my thoughts on the pros and cons, with an attempt to be as objective as possible.

Advantages:

Lifetime License: MotiveWave offers a lifetime license, eliminating the need for ongoing payments.

Additional Updates and Support: Users have the option to purchase additional one-year updates and support to access new features.

Trade Copier Feature: Although recently implemented, the Trade Copier feature requires further improvement and reliability. Overall, it is a great feature for prop firm challenges.

Java SDK: MotiveWave supports Java SDK, providing flexibility for advanced programmers.

Third-Party Studies: Users can purchase and integrate third-party indicators/studies into MotiveWave.

Limitations:

Lack of Programming Courses: Unlike other platforms such as Metatrader 4/5 and NinjaTrader, MotiveWave lacks programming courses. Introducing a course, covering basic Java knowledge and MotiveWave SDK functions, would significantly enhance the platform's popularity among full- or semi- algo-trading enthusiasts. This could include topics like finding the last 5 candles' high and low, calculating a 50% or 61.8% Fibonacci levels, labelling these values on the chart, and integrating external Java classes with MotiveWave's SDK classes. I know that people should have a prior knowledge of java, but having such a course would be extremely helpful.

Cursor Data Accessibility: Cursor data values are only accessible on the same instrument/chart. For instance, if you have a chart open for E-mini S&P 500, you cannot create alerts based on S&P 500 (1-day chart) and Dow Jones 30 or S&P 500 (4-hours chart), limiting flexibility of creating multi timeframe, study-based alerts.

These limitations, while present, are common in most trading platforms. I have already reached out to the MotiveWave support team to inquire about overcoming these limitations. Nevertheless, these drawbacks do not deter me from awarding MotiveWave a 5-star rating, given its numerous pros and advantages that significantly contribute to my trading journey, enhancing my overall trading experience.

Absolutely awesome platform. Platform has so many configurations, and can change or configure almost anything the way you want it. I love getting to know it and sorting through and tweaking everything just how I want it. The footprint charts can be configured multiple ways but the 2 I use are bid/ask and delta. Multiple views and configurations of volume profile as another I use. And my most favorite...the advanced DOM. Many ways to set it up to your liking. I love being able to put true delta on the side, extended view on limit orders and a very fast display on transacted orders. Keeps a tally of orders traded at all levels and can easily change the reset rate longer or faster. Will be sim trading for quite a while for futures as order flow direct DOM trading will be a new but the last thing I know I'm going to need trading with. Absolutely love the platform! It's all I'm going to need during sim and when I go live it will be on their platform. I cannot say enough about the functionality. Has advanced studies I don't need personally for my trading but just giving the idea of just how much this platform has to offer. Grest that they give a free 14 day trial as well. I honestly didn't even need to finish it after using it the 1st day I already new this was going to be it for myself. Customer support is the best. Less than 24hrs response. I work 3rd shift and can write a message at night and have an email early morning. Just fantastic. At least try the 14 day trial just to get a feel. It won't be a waste of your time.

The staff is great to work with and Mr. Omar went through all details with such a clarity and patience. The platform is efficient with many tools to work with.

MotiveWave is by far the best most reliable platform I’ve ver used! They have all the features anyone could ever wish for. The platform is lightning fast and user friendly. Keep up the excellent work MotiveWave team. They even have mobile apps which work very well.

It's supposed to be a "professional" and "advanced" software, but you can't even split the ETH session TPO chart between Asia and Europe sessions. What a joke.

Even worse, this company is so cheap that they refuse to hire more programmers to do a better job with their updates and to properly beta test before releasing bug fixes.

I will give them another go the day you can just split sessions between Asia and Europe. Until then, they are simply not a serious trading software company.

I installed for the first time MotiveWave and I get a 14 free trial. On my MAC there was some issue, uninstalled and installed the day after. Trial was expired! Contacted the support said I already registered 1 month before with different profile! Of course false, I never knew about Motive Wave that I installed to test the foot print chart, I had then to organize the data with a provider and test it.
I showed all the proofs, nobody contacted me anymore. 100% not satisfacted of customer support, a customer lost. I will use other software because there are many for foot print chart, even if windows and I will take months to start with it.
If you install the software on MAC don't unistall it. You will lose your trial and this bug is not even known by them and they don't take care.

I use Motivewave with IB as my broker and data. Recently IB changed the exchange they use for certain futures instruments. MV is not able to adapt to this change and reverts back to the old exchange. MV support does not have a solution and recommends I don t turn my system off so it won t revert back. The support at MV is 24 hours later with the solution that makes no sense and cares very little. Very disappointed in the software and support

The software has some nice features otherwise I would not have purchased but unlike other platforms if there is a problem they expect you to have a support/ maintenance contract in place otherwise you are completely on your own. Recently rithmic did some upgrades that cause issues with motivewave making too many calls within a 10 second period. This to me should be a patch from motivewave to ensure the software actually works and does what it should. I am not after upgrades. The functionality is good for what I need. If the maintenance fees were realistic and represented 10% of the purchase price then I could stomach the fee but in my case it’s over 30% of the purchase price which is totally unrealistic. Buyer beware. Motivewave got greedy and sales don’t like questions and choose not to respond
