I am very thankful for the incredible 2 days I had fishing with Diego.

I am from the US and have been fortunate enough to fish in some truly remarkable water. It was my first time in Italy and do not speak the language well (barely at all), but I love to fish and could not miss an opportunity to catch Marble trout. “Regina”, queen of the Italian native species, endemic to the Adriatic basin, is one of the most magnificent trout species in the world.

I don’t consider my self a master of any of the various ways you can catch fish with a fly rod, but I truly love it and am passionate about learning. I booked my trip several months in advance and Diego was very helpful with planning and preparing for what was needed. What equipment to bring, the areas that would be good to stay, etc. The pricing for his guide service was very clear.

I like to keep an open mind with these kind of adventures, but my two days with Diego were simply incredible and surpassed any expectation I could have had. His expert knowledge, beautiful flies, his ability to adapt, and his ability to teach put me in positions for success both days. I learned a lot, improved my fishing skill set, saw some of the most beautiful scenery in the world, I had opportunities at many fish, and I was lucky enough to land some truly incredible Brown and Marble trout.

A world class outing by any measure, Thank you Diego!

Great guide, great experience, great day on the water. Diego put me in the right location to catch fish, provided great tips and instruction, was a good communicator for planning and preparation, and took a bunch of very good photos. He has access to some very special water. I would fish with him again.

Diego was a very professional fly fishing guide. The communication prior to the trip was excellent and everything (except the rain) went off as planned on the day we fished. Even though the weather was not that great Diego had a spot where we could go and catch plentiful trout. I would fish with Diego again and hope to return to fish one of the larger rivers.

I have visited Bressanone every 4 years since 1998 and have always wondered what fished lived in the Eisack river and what it would be like to fish it. I got my wish, fishing the Eisack with Diego from Mosca Tze Tze. It was a great fishing experience, with an excellent attention to detail. Diego picked me up at my hotel and supplied everything I needed, the waders, fly rod and his own hand-tied flies, all of excellent quality. We checked out two rivers and three or four sections of the river to find optimal spot. We obtained the licenses I need and we began fishing. Caught my first fish within 5 minutes, a nice size marble trout. First time I caught a marble trout. Diego has a thorough knowledge of the river and put me in great places to catch good sized fish that put up good fights. Caught marble and rainbow trout throughout the entire day. He even documented the catches and the beautiful Alpine scenery with photos that he sent after the trip. It was a great fishing experience that I will remember the rest of my life. I highly recommend fishing with Diego and Mosca Tze Tze.

For starters, I am a fly fishing guide myself. Take that as you may. My fly fishing trip with Diego was excellent, but remember, the service really starts with the planning.

After confirming the date, in the days leading up to the trip, Diego’s communication was thorough. One important note, Diego and I don’t speak the same language, or should I say, I don’t speak the same 4 languages as Diego. With just a few days before we were supposed to fish, it became evident that we were going to be dealing with some tricky weather. Again, through clear communication, we discussed our options and made a decision. The decision was to risk conditions and fish for wild trout in the passer river.

After meeting Diego, I hopped in his car and we were on our way to one of the most beautiful fly fishing locations I have ever seen. With the water up we started the day nymphing and found success almost immediately. After four or five hours of successful nymphing, and seeing a trout rise to an indicator, we switched to a dry. Ten minutes later I was into a 50+ cm trout. After finishing up the day we stopped for drinks and a bite to eat.

Looking back, what mostly stands out beyond the awesome fishing and scenery is how two guys with a language barrier were absolutely able to communicate and enjoy each other’s company. Diego clearly new the water, and made our time on it the most enjoyable part of my vacation.

His speciality is Euro-Nymphing. He doesn^t speak english very well, but that's no problem. On the water we understood each other perfectly.

Diego is a marvelous guide, great fishing companion and fishes beautiful, productive water for marble trout, brown and rainbows. Wonderful experience. Highly recommended!
