I was desperate to get some plant pots…

I was desperate to get some plant pots during Covid19 lockdown, Jeremy the owner went above and beyond the call of duty to find me the pots even though they didn't stock them. They answered all the phone calls and were very nice and polite throughout the process. I am very impressed and highly recommend this company. I really appreciate the kindness this company showed during this difficult time even though they were very busy with other orders.

Exceptional service.

I recently ordered a pair of Laura Ashley planters from Rivers Hill garden supplies, one of which arrived damaged. I rang Rivers Hill and was told by Mrs Aves that they would send me another. This one also arrived damaged. I rang and on this occasion spoke to Mr Aves. He was as disappointed as myself and said he would pack another himself and use a different carrier. This one arrived in perfect condition and I now have a matching pair.
It is very rare to experience such personal and exceptional service. I would have no hesitation in recommending this company.

I have had a very bad experience with …

I have had a very bad experience with this man, Jeremy. I ordered a garden pot from him, and was notified of its delivery, although I was not at home at the time. When myself and my husband returned home, we couldn't find it, so I phoned Jeremy from morethanpots.com (also known as both Riverhill Garden Supplies, and Southern Planters LTD) to enquire about its whereabouts. Instead of receiving any form of help, I was as good as called a liar, which is the nicer way to phrase it. I couldn't believe my ears, as this was coming from a so-called business man. I was extremely upset, and as a result, entered into an argument with him. My husband took over the call, which was terminated abruptly by Jeremy. Very professional indeed! The parcel had in fact been delivered to the wrong location by DPD, which had been discovered following the phone call. However, Jeremy placed the blame on me, and continued to imply that I was being dishonest.

Trading Standards have told me that by law, the consumer has 14 days to return a product, if need be. I needed to return the pot as it was too big. Jeremy was extremely rude to me, and when I contacted DPD to pick up the parcel for it to be returned to him, I was informed that Jeremy had blocked the pick up. I then had to make my own arrangement to send it back, as instructed by Trading Standards. I contacted Parcel Force, who have attempted to deliver the pot back to Jeremy on two separate occasions, but on both, he has refused to accept.

The matter is now with Trading Standards and the small claims court. Jeremy obviously has issues with customers wanting to return goods, so should therefore not be trading on the internet. In hindsight, I have found the very same pots on Amazon, from companies such as Lechuza Classico, which are much cheaper and without this sort of hassle involved.

I order products online frequently, as I currently use a wheelchair and it is considerably difficult for me to get around. I have never encountered anything like this before. Jeremy is rude and obnoxious, and I do not understand his mentality, as there are hundreds of other merchants on the internet selling products such as these. He needs us more than we need him!
