We cannot believe how fortunate we were to find Wendy and 'Moorhelp' when our father became ill and needed support with his personal care.
Wendy, her daughter Georgie and their small team were recommended through a friend and sounded too good to be true, but even the glowing accolades did not do them justice.
Wendy listened to both Dads and our needs and concerns and offered a very personalised provision. Dad quickly warmed to her; her cheerful and friendly personality, good humour, caring nature, efficiency and reliability but most of all, she enabled him to maintain his dignity.
Wendy not only helped Dad but was a great support to the rest of the family, both emotionally but also through her wealth of knowledge and contacts within the care industry. She is something of a force of nature and we cannot thank her enough or recommend her more highly. Thank you Wendy and the rest of your fabulous team.

Wendy and her team have been visiting us to care for my disabled husband for the last four years and I have always found the team to be caring and helpful. Vicky is one of his main carers and she helps to get him up and put him to bed and is always efficient and cheerful, as are the rest of the team. I would recommend this home care service.

Our experience with Wendy and the Moorhelp team has been consistently positive and reliable. Seeking 24-hour care for my 97-year-old mother while being over 100 miles away presented obvious challenges, but Moorhelp has offered solutions that work for us. Wendy herself stays with my mother every other month, providing me with a much-needed respite and ensuring personalized, dependable care.

Exploring other options, like residential respite care, highlighted a stark difference in approaches – while many care homes emphasize long-term residency, Moorhelp has been flexible and attentive to our specific needs. Wendy takes a hands-on approach to her business, focusing on providing a service that is both reliable for families and beneficial to those in her care.

My mother enjoys Wendy’s company, which gives me peace of mind when I’m not there. A big thank you to Wendy and her team for their dependable service and for taking good care of my mum.

My mum has had Moorhelp in to assist her for the last 18months after she was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s. All the team have been really great taking her out, doing shopping, cleaning, personal care, cooking etc. Also taking her to medical Apts when needed to. I live in Scotland so this has been a great help to me. My mum has formed a special bond particularly with Georgie who has been amazing. My mum was very resistant to having carers and it’s testament to the team that this has gone so well. My mum thought the carers were all her friends and said she didn’t need carers as she had all of these friends coming. Again this is testament to their care. My mum has now had to go Into a care home as she can no longer manage when the carers are not with her. Georgie went above and beyond to help us move my mum into the care home and we will still have her take my mum out once a week as my mum has become very fond of her. Without Moorhelp my mum would have definitely had to go into a care home 18months ago. Their assistance allowed her to have this time still in her own home. I can highly recommend all the team as they have all worked with my mum over this time.

We were told about Moorhelp by someone else who was a client of theirs. Having experienced some awful care provision for my father a number of years ago it’s so refreshing to have got Wendy and the moorhelp team involved with my father in law. The whole team are amazing and so flexible and accommodating to his changing needs with nothing being too much trouble. He has at least daily visits and sometimes more when he is taken out which is good for him rather than being stuck at home on his own. They prompt him to get dressed and some personal care as well as assisting him with breakfast and now preparing a snack lunch. This is just a snapshot as they do so much more with him, going the extra mile having his welfare and wellbeing at the forefront of their work. He has been visited by all the team as holiday and weekend cover but his main contact is Vicky. She always presents as being happy when in his home and is excellent at keeping in touch with family regularly messaging and by phone if needed. He’s usually in good spirits when Vicky has visited which is a credit to her.

The Moor Help team have changed mine and my families life since taking on the care of my father 18 months ago. The care, time and effort they take daily when looking after my father is excellent. Nothing is too much and they continue to go over and above to help anyway they can - after a terrible experience in the past, Wendy was able to make us feel such at ease when they first began caring for my father. They always look for ways to enhance his life and have taken the time to get to know him and take him on day trips they know he will enjoy - such as trips to local football matches. Most recently Wendy came to my wedding with my father as a guest but also to be by his side and help him with medication and ensuring he didn’t miss out on such a special day and the worry was taken away from me and my family for that particular day. Such a wonderful team and I’d recommend them to anyone. Thank you for changing our lives & my fathers too.
