This is the worst idea ever there is literally no customer service at all. I bought a card and added $60.00 to it to add to my money card. It said I had to create a login when I tried to do that it gave me an error saying I could not be verified and I will have to get a refund on my money and it would take 7-10 days. Lose your money. I don’t understand how you can have something like this with no customer support. NONE 0 NOTHING!!!!!!!. I will be filling with the BBB and seeing what legal action I can take. Yes I’m that person that will spend more money then it’s worth to prove a point. WARNING DO NOT USE THIS MONEYPAK CARD!!!!!!! O and it seems I’m not only person having issues with this 86% REALLY 86% of people have it a 1 star. Those odds should tell you something. I just want my money back and the $5.95 it charged me to add the $60.00.

I have been trying for 4 months to get my refund from this company and I have to say this is by far the worst company I have ever dealt with by far like 100 times worse then the next worst company.. In fact there is no comparison. I purchased 3 500 money paks back in March of 2021 because I had lost my debit card and it has proven to be one of the worst mistakes of my life. I wish I was exaggerating. After I purchased the money pacs I went to load them onto a prepaid debit card so I could pay my rent and other bills. I put my intire pay check on them but they couldn't verify my identity because of my phone number. I have a line through metro pcs and was told I needed to request a refund which I did online. I uploaded the receipts, copies of the money pacs I bought along with my state issued driver's license. After waiting 4 weeks I finally got one of the 3 500 refunds the next I received a bad letter asking that I never purchase a money pac again or use thier company because they thought I was using the money pacs for inappropriate things. First of all how they know that and 2ns its not true. As I mentioned above it was because I lost my debit card from Wells fargo and need to pay for things using a card.
After that letter I received a 2nd refund and that's when the horror began. I never received my third refund and since then I have called over 200 times, mailed copies of my receipts and email copies as well and 4 months later I still can't get an answer. They send you to talk to someone in the Phillipines and they can't help at all. All they do is transfer you over and over again or hang up or you get disconnected. I have spent hours and days trying to get my refund. I have filed complaints with the BBB and they still refuse to help me. Worst of all is they lie and say they have been calling me but I have had my phone on me all day everyday and not a single call from that company. Do not use them or buy a money pac or you will be screwed. I have lost my home because I couldn't pay my rent on time and countless other things because of this company. They will not help you. Liars and cheats is who they are. Horrible company. If I could give them negative 5 stars I would.

Never did get my 500 back that was owed to me. I tried everything you can possibly imagine. I filed this and that called this number and that number, and spent countless hours trying to get my money back but I never was able to. It's still a shit company.

I do not understand how they allow this company to remain in business!!!! Green dot needs to be shut down!!!! They are illegally selling false advertised greendot money pak cards!!! The company has no way to contact them about the crap!! Then requires you to set up an account with their dumb ass company in order to use it because they have no security features for the card, no real way to make sure the card was sold properly. These people have a pre-recorded line that only gives you advice to write these people, like with everything we have going on in the world they aren't taking any realtime precautions for the customers that chooses to use their stupid ass reloading method. I purchased a $500 moneypak card and have not been able to use it h since the day i purchased it and it keeps saying the money pak cards number is invalid. I called the company to get an understanding but they customer service representative for the green dot money cards tells me the moneypak cards have a separate company and they don't HANDLE those matters like really? Police officers don't get involved until they experience the crap then they want to play investigator but greendot has me fckd up I'm writing the Senate about this company and let them know how you are stealing money from your customers with no REAL way for customers to contact you immediately about their money, it seems as if all y'all Care about it that $5.95 at the time of purchase and saying fk the customers after, hiding behind a fkng request form. Who ever the fkng owner is get ready greedy btch because you will be exposed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You $5.95 btch!!!!!

TaxSlayer's website is designed to push customers into receiving their tax refunds through a prepaid Green Dot card. (see Wikipedia: 'dark patterns') I opted out of this-- or believed I did-- wishing to get my refund sent to my bank account. I just learned through much struggle with the IRS that my refund was sent to a Green Dot account and routing number. My stimulus money is also probably there. I filed my taxes in early March! I've sunk hours of headache and worry into this and I still have thousands of dollars which I can't access-- I was never even sent a debit card.

I never approved of any transaction with Green Dot and so I consider this money stolen. I have filed complaints with the Federal Reserve Bank and the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. I encourage anyone else scammed by these guys to do the same thing. It only takes a few minutes-- and you feel like you're punching back.

I purchased a green dot card, this only being my second time ever. 1st time took several hours for the money to be available... this time, I go to purchase a greendot, the first card I picked off the rack rings up and cashier is like... the card stats its already been used... we looked at it, hadnt been scratched, weird.. anyway I get another one. This one rings up funds are put on it and I head out... I get home about 1.5 hours later and go to scratch ooff the back nuymber as I need to deposit the funds into an account I need funds for monday... now this is several hundred dollars... well the numbers under the scratch pad are unreadable, I go back to store and they say nothing can be done, you have to call moneypak. I call them they tell me to go online for assistance... I go file assistance and am told they will research and get back to me in 1 business. The next day I get a response saying they have looked into it and sending me a refund for the amount minus the $5.95 I was charged.... I should receive the funds in 10 days... wait, what did I just say? TEN DAYS ... so several hundred dollars is now unusable/unattainable for 10 days.... though I have a moneypak account, they cant send the money to my card, only a check in the mail. This will be the last time I will ever use greendot/moneypak and warn anyone if you have another option, use it, avoid moneypak/greendot you are literally using this service at your own risk!

I like to mention on green. My Green Dot experience I had an experience where I was trapped in a location I had not a penny in my bank they always say you don't ask you don't get I contact the Green Dot customer service I told him that I was in great need of assistance if there was any way they can advance me $20 so I could get gas they applied the credit to my account and I was able to receive gas and I was amazed what they could do as a one-time customer service I contacted two other bank accounts that I had at that moment at my time of need cuz I was in a hardship I was stranded and green. Came out of the loop and assisted me and provided me $20 on my ATM so I could get gas when I see customer service like this at my time of need when somebody needs to reach out to somebody they did beyond what any bank is ever done that I can ever say A plus tutor customer service a plus-2 there assisting people and if banks did this out of the courtesy that's what keeps them alive because sometimes people are in need and people need to assist people at their time I recommend this Bank 100% I will continue to use green. I've been with Green Dot for over five years and I'm have their top rating card at this moment and I'm in the Oceanside City of California a plus A+green.

This company is a scam and I'm pretty sure they only work with scammers. The customer service line tells you to go to the internet. Any email responses you get when you file a claim simply sends you back to the customer service number. There is no real customer service, only recorded messages. It is impossible to get any resolution and impossible to get your money back if you happen to have an unlucky card number.

Why we have to give a start to this trash company? They make people buy the moneypak that it's not going to work the refund takes too long, and they steal the fee for buying this trash and they alert customer about highly possible frauds with their products.
1st they are the main fraud.
2nd. No customer service, at all.
3rd. Takes too long the refund process, it's 2021 already we ain't sending messages over horses anymore.

*update 12/3/2020 Money pak sent a check that was printed wrong, a week later. I can't cash it anywhere. I went to Walmart and even went to local currency exchange, and even tried depositing it to the bank but it was the label ”Deposit Unpaid” MoneyPak is a fraud! They sent a check that can't be cashed nor deposited! Do not buy it at all!
I purchased a money pak card. I upload all the necessary information. They denied my money back. I tried contacting money pak, but they have nobody you can speak with about resolving the issues. You just listen to a recording. Now, I am stuck waiting 2 weeks for a freaking refund! I will never use money pak ever again. I say purchase with caution. This is ridiculous that I have to wait two weeks for my money!!!! I should have just went to the bank to deposit money!

I wish I could give them a zero. Bought a money pak card yesterday to load on my bank card since my bank is 10 hours away kept getting an error message saying couldn’t be loaded wait the 20 to 30 minutes waited over an hour then tried again then got a message saying the funds were deposited on my card but the funds never went on my card. Emailed them telling them what happened they basically said oh well not my problem. I am livid I am out the money now.

My child’s mother Beene stealing my money thru all variety off app for a while now as well as this one gettin direct deposits and transferring money here to either go on money pack cards or In whatever account was linked cuz I have never got a chance to successfully use green dot my
Self and I kinda feel unsafe cuz I get notification when my account get direct deposit or is actively been used but when there Sign in I can sign in I gotta reset password then it’s a race to get back into the account but there method is definitely more effective normally they sign me out of the entire email and upon resigning its displaying the email doesn’t exist I seen in my web browser they use something call reverser mail look up I think that’s how there hiding the email I forced to submit when there down it’s same thing with my green dot account it’s as if it’s brand new some how there about to make logs look empty there gotta be some sort of flaw in there system you can’t miss I deserve to know where my money goin and get it returned/refund there using my social as well

-0 stars!! Moneypak was a good company at one time, about 10 years ago. I'm a truck driver, needed a way for my wife to get money to me, got a green dot card, loaded it several times at Walmart, worked great, then when I needed my wife to send me some money, told her to get me a moneypak so I could load it myself, she got me the moneypak card an sent me the pin number, tried to log into my old moneypak account to load onto my green dot card, wrong password, did the recover password, message says, password reset link not sent to you. I've did this almost every day for the last month an same message everytime. Made an moneypak account for wife, couldn't even log into it right after I made it for her. Sent in the request for a refund today, I'll wait the two weeks then if I don't get my money back I'm going to contact the better business bureau in Pasadena, Ca. And also the California Preacuters office. All this mess for 40.00!! NEVER WILL USE MONEYPAK AGAIN NO MATTER WHAT THE OUTCOME IS!!!!!

Update I got my refund check and it took about a week and a half.

I Wish there was a zero. I was taken for 400 dollars. I called greendot/moneypak to find out who the criminals were,and they flat out refused to tell me. They furthermore never accepted respinsibility nor had any empathy for me. They did not offer any refund at all!! Buyer beware!!
Just who are they protecting?
They passed me around to 5 different people who gave me the same song and dance!! How they stay in business mistifies me!

This company is worthy for an episode of american greed. Why isn't the ftc doing something about this? The fraud is committed by green dot itself. Green dot ips the scammer and is the thief. Walmart, cvs and others are too stupid to allow this wanna be corporation to use their platforms and sell their cards. From stolen cash funds loaded to cards to missing consumer balances along with purposefullydesigned dead end customer service phone number, they sure have a good fraud scheme going on.

I would highly recommend you do not purchase a MoneyPak card or have anything to do with MoneyPak they will scam you out of your money and then the customer service will not help you at all it's horrible they did nothing but lie to me and they're going to tell you that they're going to issue a refund which takes two weeks so if you have an important bill to pay I wouldn't advise you to use MoneyPak because it won't get done the service is horrible the customer service is horrible this whole thing is a complete joke

Absoltely horrible experience. I bought a moneypak Cinco De Mayo and all I got was error error error and no customer service. Im bitter I just got my refund that was short the fee today. Avoid this company like the plague they programmed their phones to never get a human and when you finally get a check refund they stilll take the fee. Are you fricking kidding me. ( I dont wanna swear). This company is broken and every staff member went on a Covid-19 Vacation. Moneypak should be pulled off the shelves its worse then a banking system of a third world country. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and even at times over the first few days and 20 something hours of trying to deal with it I began to think I was broken. But F this company I hope some class action lawyer wants to take the case because this company sucks b_lls. F__You Green Dot I will continue to waste my time bad mouthing your company. This whole process has made me infuriated I will never give your dirtbag company another cent and I hope to take as much revenue from your company as I can. I'm not gonna make threats but your company has made me so angry I still want to get revenge. I'm the nicest person too what the hell GreenDot this is like the first time in my 35 years of ever getting this angry.

I can't load the money and I can't request a refund because their website doesn't let me. There is no way contacting a real person. MoneyPak is a fraud.

This company encourages fraud.
I lost $800 and the response from customer service over a week later simply said "Sorry for the delayed response. It's been a while since you contacted us. If you still require email assistance, please respond to this message and let us know how we can help".
This is my worst experience with a company ever. I will never use their cards again and discourage anyone else from using them.

Money pak is legit but moneypak@tech-center is a scam do not send any information regarding your money pak to this company. I just recently found out they were fraudulent while trying to get assistance on expediting my refund process with greendot and came across the email on a site such as this. I realized it was a scam when I emailed them and every time I received an email response it would have a different generic name at the end of the message. Then I was called out of my name and disrespected. Thank god the refund process was already initiated before I reached out to this fraudulent email account. DO NOT EMAIL moneypak@tech-center

This company is a complete fraud. Had a $100 Moneypak. Site said I failed verification process. No live people to talk to. Finally reached customer service at GreenDotMoneypak@tech-center . com. They mailed me a refund check. Took three weeks. Will never use their service again!
