Nightmare Solar Company!

Nightmare!! Looking for a part time job that YOU pay for? Well that is what you will have to do when you are working with Monalee finish your solar project! My project took over 7 months to get finally working. I had to correspond and follow up with Monalee over 50 times to get my project to completion. They would rarely respond in a timely manner and would usually take several days. I had to work with multiple different departments and would keep getting passed from one employee to another having to repeat my story each time. They also had poor communication with the subcontractors and the inspector (you will have to work as the middleman). I had to deal with a frustrated city inspector multiple times. The subcontractor (Draco) that was assigned to me took two extra days to “finish” my project than what they had told me, pulled a no show on first inspection, had 10 remarkers on my project during inspection (they were suppose to have a rough inspection that was never communicated by Monalee to me, the subcontractor or the inspector), and were late or miscommunicated time of arrival multiple times. Also, they installed my solar panels incorrectly overhanging my property line that will have to be fixed. Through all of this I had to waste multiple PTO days. Monalee is clearly a new company that is well priced but you will have to make up for the quality they provide. The only reason I am giving them two stars is they gave me a $500 credit for the issues on my project. They offered me another $500, but blindsided me with a non disclosure agreement as a contingency(I didn’t sign). In my opinion I am due more of a refund for how much work I had to do for them and had two employees from Manalee agree. This company was awful to work with. Jared Caine, the chief of staff, wasted hours of my time and was rude. He is who blindsided me with the non disclosure agreement. It’s clear Monalee is a start up tech company and the customer is their last priority. Working with Monalee was anything but simple or enjoyable! Avoid at all cost!!
