We purchased a hand soap from a MB store. When we returned home and after removing the pump depresser catch we used it to wash our hands, the pump dispensed soap everywhere and on inspection we discovered the pump was broken. The bottled needed cleaning and it was replaced in the MB bag ready to be returned.
At the shop there was no quibble or issue and the manager got out a new bottle to replace the damaged one. Then afterva few seconds put it to one side and entered a draw a got out a new pump. This was then inserted in the bottle we had returned, more liquid had come out of the bottle and the bottle had to be cleaned again. We were quite shocked at this lack if customer service and the store's meanness. We did not want a scene so accepted this.
Returning home we decided that MB does not act like a quality company selling a premium product. Are they on the skids, needing to sacrifice customer service for pennies. Poor and dismal springs to mind!
CHECK YOUR PUMPS BEFORE YOU LEAVE THE STORE AS THE COMPANY ARE NOT BOTHERED WHERE THERE ARE ISSUES!

I’ve tried a number of Molton Brown products, and where this brand truly excels is in its fragrance mastery. Every scent is beautifully complex and long-lasting—it's clear that their perfumery expertise is at the heart of the brand. I was drawn to these products for their slightly upmarket feel, but unfortunately, the actual cleansing performance fell flat. The products feel slimy on the skin, don’t lather effectively, and leave me far from clean. It feels like style over substance—gorgeous in presentation, but lacking real performance. On top of that, there’s a sort of inflation of quality—like a shrinkflation effect—where the premium feel doesn’t match what you’re actually getting. And in the end, it seems like the main customer is hotel bathrooms—stylish, yes, but not really suited to a personal luxury routine.
