Made in China

I bought a knit dress with wool content. It seemed very short. I mailed molo and they asked me to measure the back length to make sure it was the right length. I did and it was 3cm shorter than what it is supposed to be. I have the mail where Molo admits that the dress sent is shorter than its design (and no other that they try to insinuate). No wonder, the dress is made in China and there is no control. 3 cm for each dress, for each customer for thousands and thousands, that's a lot of cost cutting behind the scene. I complaint and all they offered was to exchange it after 3 emails, pictures, proof...my waste of time.
Below their answer (quote) :

Thank you for your e-mail.

I apologize that it seems like the dress is 3 cm too short. We always strive to make products of the best quality and workmanship, but unfortunately errors can occur and it seems that has happened in this case. You are welcome to return this item as a claim.

I won't be able to send a new one that has the measurements you requested, as it should only be 74 cm on the back. But once we receive the return we can send you a new one, and this should be the correct measurements, but won't be as long as the Carisa dress.

However, please note that Hermes cannot be used for return packages to Molo, as they only deliver to drop points in Denmark. Instead, you may use other shipping providers such as GLS, DHL, or UPS. It is advisable to retain the receipt and tracking number for your records.

Please also enclose the receipt for the freight cost and provide your banking details (IBAN and SWIFT code) in the parcel. We will reimburse the return shipping cost.

You sent us four identical emails within four minutes on October 28th at 18:34 Danish time.
Unfortunately, our customer service team had already finished for the day at that time. However, I can see that my colleague replied to you the following morning, on October 29th at 08:55 Danish time — so your email was answered as quickly as possible.

As you are comparing two different styles, it is unfortunately not possible for us to provide what you are requesting. The dress you would like simply was not designed to have the same length as the one you compared it to — they are based on two completely different measurement charts.

Please rest assured that it is not out of unwillingness that we cannot send you the dress in your preferred length. It is simply not produced in that length.

It should also be mentioned that all our garments are produced under proper and responsible conditions, regardless of the country of production, and all our suppliers comply with Danish and EU legislation.

As we are a GOTS, CSR, and Oeko-Tex certified company, we adhere to a number of strict requirements — from the origin of the wool to the moment the garments arrive at our warehouse.

Therefore, if the dress’s standard length does not meet your expectations, it may not be the right model for you. In that case, we are of course happy to offer, in full accordance with our terms and conditions, that you may return it for a refund.

Poor quality, sizing issues and a nightmare return process

I ordered a jacket for my child directly from the official Molo website — and honestly, this was a very disappointing experience.

The quality is far from what you’d expect from a “premium” brand — the jacket I received (on sale) had visible fabric damage and holes on the sleeve right out of the box

And now to the worst part — the return process. It’s anything but easy. The return instructions are unclear, and the entire process feels like it’s built to discourage you from even trying.

I expected better from a brand like Molo, especially when they charge premium prices and promote themselves as sustainable and high-quality. I won’t be shopping here again — and wouldn’t recommend it to other parents.

As we also mentioned, we truly appreciate your constructive feedback on how we could make the process easier for you as a customer.
Your suggestions have, of course, been passed on to the relevant department. However, implementing such changes requires a more extensive technical setup, which our current system is not yet programmed for. Therefore, it is not something we can implement immediately — but your input is certainly valuable and a great suggestion for future improvements.

No return postage for faulty products

I order from the webshop quite frequently and the customer service has been good so far (I've had several broken/faulty products from socks to backpacks during the years). This time I got an item that was stained and Molo provided me with the option of return. I'm not a local customer, so I was to pay for the shipping of the item back on my own expense and they would refund me the shipping costs up to 20€. There is no options of shipping from abroad to their address that fits into 20€ so this return would have ended up either being more expensive than the damaged dress or I would have had to take my chances with a cheaper letter delivery without any tracking option. For me this experience makes it much less likely to order in the future, since the products might be faulty and I'm the one paying for the lack of quality control.

I am very sorry if there has been a misunderstanding, we have been told by the Finish post that a parcel without insurance door to door delivery has a price on 20 € which was the reason for the info. If you have enclosed the receipt of the return freight we will of course refund you the full amount as it is a claim. We will contact the Finish post right away and be updated on their prices for return to DK with door to door delivery.

Poor quality backpack

Very disappointed to get poor quality item from Molo, have been happy with the purchases for a while previously.
Got a child backpack for Christmas. It has been lightly worn in March-May an it has been falling apart since April - fabric is getting out of seams everywhere, holder loop fell out. Backpack has been treated gently and not overloaded, as its a spare. Now it can only be thrown away.

When you accept the terms and conditions it says that you agree on the items/ sizes and colors in your order which you did.
If your order was not packed yet, we always try to help and change the size/ color if you have made a typing mistake. - But when it has been shipped it is physically not possible for us to remove it from your parcel which we also tried to explain to you over the phone and by mail last week.

Huge let down in customer service

I have made 5 orders recently and got none of them. Zero items! About 2 weeks after order bank releases money. So I have sent several emails to customer service to solve this problem and get help, but no answer for already a month! Before that I have ordered for years and no problems with orders. I don't know where to reach anymore. Love design and colours of Molo clothing but for unknown reason can't make orders anymore and very suddenly since April. Tried different emails to connect molo and also through facebook, but all I got is silence and ignoring. How is possible to solve problems if they don't answer at all?? I even tried different email accounts to avoid problem with my email aadress, but still nothing. Seems like they just ignoring and even don't explain why.

EDIT: what? I have ordered with this email years! How can you say no orders with this email? Total lie. I tried to connet to webshop-molo.com, ws-molo.com, molo-molo.com and Molo facebook messenger - only in the messenger somebody replied once that she tries to contact to customer service about this issue and then silence after that too! Give me working email address and I will send all order numbers etc.

EDIT2: thank you for your reply. Here was not possible to add @ sign (email addresses restricted), that's why I replaced it with -, but I have already sent many emails to webshop address and still no reply. Where else I can send my emails if nobody answers there? I really want to know what is the problem they ignore me and my orders?

Edit 3: I finally got contact and for now it seems I can order again. Hopefully it will stay that way.

SENDING THE ITEM BACK IS MORE EXPENSIVE THAN THE ITEM ITSELF!! Yes that's right. I ordered a snowsuit for my baby, but the size was bigger than I expected so I followed the procedure to return it back. I prepared the item and I went to DHL . It was written that I should pay for the shipping fee from Greece to Denmark, but apparently sending it back from Greece would be cheaper for me to fly to Denmark than sending it via a courier service. The item was about 135euro and the courier service would cost 138euro. Its funny but its not at the same time. I know I should have been more careful on my purchases, I should have read the terms and conditions about returns, but this site makes it impossible to you to exchange an item or ask for a refund, since you will be charged the return fee. I keep buying things online, and to be honest I was not expecting this kind of treatment. So it's a high risk, if you're not sure about the size and you live far away. For me one thing for sure, never again! P.S. I kept the item and I ordered something else for my boy from farfech.

Disappointed in the quality of the finish

I bought some Rochelle long sleeve tops through a third party website. I was so pleased to find some girls tops with thumb holes as my daughter has a sensory quirk and uses her sleeves over her hands for comfort.
They weren’t cheap, about twice what I’d normally pay for a child’s top, so I was really disappointed in the quality of the finish. The bottom hem of these stretchy tops aren’t finished in anyway so are already starting to fray. The stitching stops around the thumb holes, and the threads weren’t tied off at all so the seams had begun to unravel before the first wear. I’ve had to finish the seam myself. I’m really gutted as I thought I’d found the holy grail for my daughter and would have been a repeat customer.

Molo makes dangerous clothing items for children and when emailed about it they took no accountability. My child could have been seriously hurt. who cares they no longer make it it had large sharp points around the neck. #saveourchildren

I do not agree with your comment about us not taking accountability. In my emails to you sent Tuesday, I informed you that we have a very high standard when it comes to safety, and live up to all EU and US safety standards which also includes the sweatshirt in question. The sweatshirt you have seen but did not buy is not from our website. This is an old style from 2016 which cannot be bought on our webshop.

Again as mentioned the other day, I have informed our design and production team about your concern. We do not produce this style anymore, besides that the "gem stones" are on the front top of the sweatshirt which makes it impossible to hurt the head if your child falls as you describe.
