We just had the best experience with Molly Maid of Playa Vista. My daughter has been so busy and her house needed some help, well, a lot of help. I called Molly Maid, they picked right up and I had an appointment for the very next day with a great window of when the staff would show up. They were on time and ever so friendly.

They did everything I was told they would do and more. The bathrooms sparkle, the whole house is dusted and polished, the kitchen is clean, all the floors were mopped. The people that came were Jesus and Christina and we could not have been happier.

This is a family run franchise and there is a lot of competition out there and I have hired some firms in the past who were not honest.

Molly Maid is licensed, insured and bonded. They grab the best people and boy do they work hard.

I retained them for 1.5 hours and this 2 bedroom, 1 bath house was perfect when they were done. They can even give your recommendations to people who also organize and deal with wee hoards. I don't need that right now, but I am going to at some point.

The price was so reasonable and fair. I paid them in advance, I don't think you have to, but I did not want my daughter to end up paying.

I could not be happier with them. My search is done. As long as Molly Maid is around and I hope for years and years, I will be using them.

There is really no need to look elsewhere.

Someone damaged my hardwood floor. I am in Petaluma. The office manager is an angry, abusive person and accused me of lying. Whichever worker did it did not report it (it is quite large and would have been seen by whoever did it.) I sent Karen the picture of the damaged. She claimed she showed it to a hardwood floor expert and he said it was from heat and they did not have anything hot. I am sure she was lying but I was done with them. Go anywhere except this franchise.

I ordered this bike of Amazon approximately 10 days ago and when it arrived the front wheel was warped and the the brakes were dodgy one star

I found Molly Maid through an online search for cleaning services in my area (Redondo Beach, CA). It had good reviews on Yelp and it is has been around since 1984 per its website and it promotes superior cleaning (per its website: "Molly Maid has offered superior cleaning services since 1984, and our dedication to exceptional service and clean homes makes us the best choice for maid service in Long Beach/South Bay.")

On top of that it charges high prices for cleaning. My cleaning job (a three bedroom condo) cost $530 for two cleaning gals for 3.5 hours. That's about $75/hour per cleaning person! For that price, I thought, they better be "superior" cleaners.

Unfortunately, that was not my experience. They were friendly enough, but as I inspected after they would finish an area, I kept finding things not thoroughly cleaned or were totally missed. I pointed them out at first, but I began to realize that they were not going to finish the cleaning in the 3 hours allotted if I kept insisting they better clean each area. And here's the catch, I had moved out of the condo. It was empty and this was the final cleaning before the landlord inspection. There was no time for them to come back another day to complete the cleaning. So I was stuck with just letting them clean to a sub-standard level so that they would finish up, and chalking it up as a bad choice.

I know that Molly Maid has a "Neighborly Done Right Promise" that it will fix any areas that a customer feels were not done well enough, but since this was the final cleaning before inspection, I couldn't take advantage of that.

I had to spend all evening after they left cleaning to bring the place up to a professional standard for the upcoming inspection. So I paid them $530 and still had to work my butt off cleaning afterwards.

After that, I was so busy with the rest of my move that I didn't have time to call the company to complain, but when someone from the company called me a few days later, I expressed my deep dissatisfaction with the service. She offered me $75 off the bill, and I just laughed. I told her the cleaning was worth about $25/hour per cleaning person, and not $75. The whole job was worth maybe $200 maximum to me. So I refused the money and told her that I was going to write a truthful review to warn future potential customers that from my experience the standard of cleaning by Molly Maid is far from professional, and certainly not worth $150 per hour for two cleaners!

It appears that Ravi S. in his recent review on Yelp (1/2/2024) had a similar occurrence, so my bad experience was not just a "one-off".

In a nutshell, be forewarned that Molly Maid is an expensive service with undependable cleaning standards.

I used Anthonia from Edgware whose girls were amazing .I have been a landlord for over 30 yrs and used many check out cleaning companies ,never has my flat been cleaned so thoroughly, they didn't miss a thing, and the flat was transformed and looked like new after heavy wear from tenants.
In my view you won't find better cleaning company .

Extremely overpriced, poor quality
Molly Maid charges 170 for 2 hours of cleaning. The cleaners always rush the job and leave after 1.30 - 1.45 hrs. They only do the bare minimum. Never clean under appliances or in places that would be harder to get to. If they move around things, they leave it and don't put it back.
Cannot recommend this in any way!

I had schedule a cleaning with Molly maids and the time was set the day before between 12pm - 2pm. I not only took time off my busy work schedule to be present at the home, I work from home from 1p-9:30p. I took off work and put my pets with a pet sitter for this cleaning from 2p-6p. When 2pm rolled around with no call or update. I call Molly maids office only to find out they change my time to 4pm. Not only did no one tell me the lady over the phone tried to say they called me yesterday. Which in fact no one called to tell me the time change which I told the relayed to the lady on the phone. She then stated oh I’m sorry I should have call this morning to let you know. Basically proving I was correct. Well again I waited for 4pm to roll around again no call no show. This time I sent them a message through there messaging system. I get a call at 4:30pm stating they are on their way and will be there in 20 minutes. They arrived at 5pm! I had of course take off the rest of work and extend my dogs daycare! At this point I am out a full days work because of their mix up and not informing me. They did not finish their cleaning until 8:45pm which is beyond ridiculous for not only the customer but the staff. The cleaning was good and the ladies were nice. Most likely will NOT use them again due to poor customer service and no communication on time with the customer after a time was established the day before then they tried to lie about it.

Paula and Zoa did a fabulous job and were incredibly friendly and professional! Highly recommend them!

I was hoping for a clean apartment , what I got was some of the furniture dusted, floors half done , sink and toilet skipped , and I could have paid a toddler to do a better job, they never touched the counter. I am so disappointed.

This company is terrible. My property manager used them to clean the house we were about to move into. The service was so bad I asked her if we could do it again. For example, the oven wasn’t touched, kitchen cabinets, floorboards, bathroom tiles, missed one room completely. Nothing was done to a sanitary level. They came again and did a bit more but still really disappointing. Do not use this service. They must not pay their help much because the care factor isn’t there. :-(

Although they arrived as agreed the standard of their cleaning service can only be described as very poor. Very little attention to detail and no obvious signs of inspection or perhaps supervision.
Windows smeared rather than cleaned. Cobwebs on light fixtures.
Having paid a not inconsiderable amount of money we would not recommend Molly Maid to anybody. Very disappointed and feel cheated. The service offered and described was not what was delivered.

The service was ok, just be careful to get your quote with hours and amount they charge in writing. I was misquoted and overcharged. They quoted $90 an hour and then charged me $120 after service was complete

We recently purchased a Condo and hired Molly Maid to come in and SANITIZE the Small Kitchen and Bath and a Half, the afternoon before we were to move in. We had the walls recently painted and were not interested in them cleaning the floors and there were no windows. What was cleaned???? The refrigerator was not touched there were cherry pits and dirt under the main crisper and there was a white scum on the middle shelf and residue in the freezer compartment. The drain in the sink wad brown and there wad residue in the bottom. The stove had been wiped out as they could not use chemicals on the oven. Under the Microwave was crusted in grease as was the backsplash. My bottom cabinets have pull outs and were not removed as there was dirt under them in all but one cabinet. This I give them credit for as it contained a garbage bin which required extra attention, they cleaned it and swept all the dirt onto the floor which they left as they were not suppose to clean floors. As for the the bathrooms they appeared to have given them a bit of a wipe down the tub still had scum and the inside of the cabinets were dirty. All in all if this is what they call sanitizing they failed.
When I called they explained that would come back and redo the work the next day, while we were moving in. Failing that they said they would credit my account by !/2 hour for the work that was not done, we were charged full price. My husband went back and Sanitized the rooms ourselves. Will I ever use them again or recommend them to anyone absolutely not! If I could have I would have given them only 1/2 star for the one cabinet that was cleaned.

I hired molly maid cleaning services for the one time clean. I'm expecting my first baby in a few weeks and it's become difficult to clean myself. I live in a 4 bathroom, 3 bedroom home that's about 2800 square feet. I booked for a 4 hour cleaning because it is a big home and I knew that it would take this long with everything I expected to be cleaned on my list. I came to find that not only did they not clean everything on my list but they only completed two hours of cleaning. This is exactly why I booked a 4 hour time slot because I knew that's how long it would take to clean everything. I felt like I wasted my time and money. Very dissatisfied and disappointed with my experience.

After spending 30 minutes booking my first clean and providing all the required information, the crew that arrived had the wrong information about our home. Then, 15 minutes later, a second crew showed up. They rushed through the cleaning and the inspection, didn't clean under the toilet seats, or other requested areas. Afterwards, no one responded to my emails about my disappointment. Do not book with this company.

They refuse to repair or replace damaged furniture, baseboards, and chipped quartz countertop. They claim the company does not give the cleaners ladders or hammers so the damage was impossible to link to their people. The team does the absolute bare minimum and they don't even do a decent job dusting. I was told by the owner that their people don't dust everything because it is not part of their service. Stay away from this over priced, poorly run franchise.

I was so pleased with the great quality of detailed service and professionalism that Zion and Maliyah provided. I was only going to try one time, but I am considering regular service.

I have had Molly Maids for the past 2-years and I love them. Team #10. Eva and Violeta are the best. They always go above and beyond to make my home beautiful. I have never had anything broken or damaged, I would recommend their services to any and all that are looking for qualify cleaning.
