Terrible experience — avoid this company
* update - they sent the below email response to this review offering help. We put forward a resolution and now they ghosted again. Clearly all for show. Stay away from these SCAMMERS!
We purchased a couch on November 28 and were promised delivery by December 5. Delivery was delayed until December 22, leaving us sitting on the floor for weeks.
When the couch finally arrived, it was broken, which meant no couch for Christmas or New Year. We had to cancel plans at our home because elderly relatives had nowhere to sit. A repair technician wasn’t sent until January 12, and even then confirmed the couch was still broken.
Communication was terrible. Every message took three days to get a response. There is no real customer service — only email, which closes early, and no meaningful way to speak to someone. Their so-called customer service seems focused entirely on sales, not on helping customers after purchase.
What makes this especially frustrating is their advertising. The entire point of their ads is showing their couches as the centre of family gatherings and celebrations. Meanwhile, we spent the holidays without a couch, sitting on the floor — despite having purchased one nearly a month earlier. They wouldn’t even provide a temporary couch for the holidays.
Based on our experience and the many similar reviews, this is not a one-off. It’s a pattern from a company that doesn’t care once the sale is made. Poor service, poor communication, and zero accountability.

I have ordered a sofa and was told that delivery time is 5-8 weeks. I called to check the status for my order and was told that my order is delayed and expected to be in the warehouse December 5th (on the 9th week). Today I have received another note saying that it is delayed again and expected December 19th.
This situation is completely UNACCEPTABLE. I have wasted 2 months waiting for a couch when I could have bought from another store and gotten that. All their customer agents know how to say is 'I understand your situation' and that 'this is very unfortunate' or 'I can't do much about it'. So far no action has been taken from Møbelkompagniet which means 0 customer service despite causing a major inconvenience for me as I have people coming over in December and no place to sit them. All they did is refund me 200kr from the transport fee (and I didn't even ask for it) which is a complete joke as this wont do anything.
I am sure I will not even get the couch this year since the week after it is Christmas break and the week after that is New Year.
This is twice a scam, once for being provided with unrealistic timeframe and twice for taking no action to remediate the situation.
Additional note: Someone from their customer agents told me I can cancel my order if I want and I don't know what kind of useless answer is that after they have made me waste 2 months waiting. This just shows no consideration at all.

Showroom was really nice.
Quality of our new sofa is amazing,
We ordered Lyon U-sofa modesto brun, medium but really comfortable.
It was so easy to assemble.
Driver Robert was really nice to us, we also had a good chat with him, he said “15 minutes and I will be there” and he was right on time. No damage on the sofa.
Overall very satisfied.

We are quite happy with the sofa, but we have been experiencing some issues.
First would be the delivery, in the SMS we were told the driver would contact us 15-30 minutes before delivery, what really happened is that they called 5 minutes before. Quite annoying, especially when working from home.
When they unloaded the sofa, they pushed one of the modules out of the truck instead of nicely lowering the ramp, by mistake, but it was not great seeing your new sofa falling from the truck, literally. They also parked in a way that made me have to carry the sofa longer than necessary.
In regard to the sofa itself, the shape is a bit off compared to the website pictures. I'm not sure why the foam is sitting a bit differently compared to the website, but it's not terrible, it might be due to the transport and being a bit pressed in the box.
One of the issues that I find annoying actually is that the black mesh cover under the sofa was stapled with too much pressure, and it ripped off in multiple points. When we contacted customer support about it, we were told the following: "The black fabric you see here underneath is called transport fabric. It is used to protect the sofa from dirt and grime during transport. If holes have appeared during transport and this is a problem, it can simply be removed. It has no effect on the use of the sofa 😊"
While doing some research, this doesn't seem to be the case, as in "transport fabric" but it seems to have other purposes as well, such as keeping the dust off. Not to mention, the sofa was covered in plastic foil, and each module was sitting in its own box, so not sure about their reasoning with the "transport fabric".
Again, not a big issue in itself, but having ordered sofas before and always receiving them in perfect condition, this was disappointing. :/
