Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Considering 44 reviews, most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Many customers reported unauthorized payments and subscriptions being set up through their PayPal accounts, often without their knowledge or consent. People frequently mentioned that these payments were recurring weekly charges for services they did not sign up for or understand. Reviewers also expressed frustration with PayPal's dispute resolution process, feeling that their concerns were not adequately addressed. Some people also reported unusual activity on their PayPal accounts during seemingly legitimate transactions, such as making parking payments. Even after attempting to cancel, some customers were concerned that charges could still be processed.

ModoMobi a scam company!

Just been scammed for £40 by this company. Darren Randall has obviously set up a company which earns money by scamming customers on the Three Mobile Network.
Three insist you need to contact the company direct for a refund which I have now done. Other posts on here have said there have been issues getting refunds so not sure what response I will get.

Blatant scammers

Blatant scammers - ripping off people
Left right and centre. They’ve taken £40 from me (via Three, whose security system is hopeless). Don’t touch them with a barge pole

Yet another scam!! How long can this go on??

I too have been scammed. Time and date match up to me being at work with my phone in a locker. Modomobi claim that I had to have 'clicked to accept' at LEAST twice. However this is not physically possible. Only given one star because I cant work out how to do minus stars.

SCAM SCAM SCAM

Somehow I have been billed for £40 for something I have not subscribed to. My child was playing with my phone watching you tube videos. Email responses are a joke. This is a SCAM and should not be aloud to happen. Fight for your money back and get on to your network provider to do something about this. I am with 3 as most people are. Give people their money back you C£&@S

SCAMMERS

This company scammed me out of £40. Sent me 4 text messages saying I'd subscribed to their service (4 texts costing me £10 each). I wasn't even using my phone at the time, I was out and didn't have my phone with me. After pursuing them I have received a refund.

This happened to me a few weeks back

This happened to me a few weeks back, have contacted ModoMobi/Fitness Guru but have not heard a peep from them, all Three could advise was contacting the Phone-Paid services authority at psauthority.org.uk - I have contacted them and now awaiting a response. Have also written to Three about their appalling customer service and the communications ombudsman. Hope this helps others on here to try and get their money back.

Rip off merchants

Received text alert to say I'd signed up to some fitness guru app that I was being charged £40 for via my mobile phone bill. I haven't signed up for anything of the sort - I've complained and so far been offered £20 refund. But I've told them I want full refund - they have charged me for a service I haven't signed up for - added it to my phone bill - (I'm with three they're as bad for allowing it to happen) without consent or authorisation. Nothing but rip off merchants 🤬🤬

SCAM ALERT!

I have been scammed by Modomobi. They took a payment of £40 from me without my consent. This is a widely-reported Modomobi scam whereby mobile users are signed up for 'services' without authorisation and often (as in my case) without the knowledge of the user. I received four unsolicited texts at a total charge of £40 to my mobile account. I have demanded a full refund and will pursue legal action if unsuccessful.
EDIT: Considerable hassle and inconvenience but I have today successfully claimed a full refund.

Money taken without consent

Four texts costing me a tenner each £40 pound taken without my consent and then a nightmare to get back but eventually after a fight used my 28 day cooling off period and had to use the post office to get my money back.
