Avoid Mode Auto Concepts

Avoid Mode Auto Concepts when looking for car parts.
They had my $2500 for 20 days now and no wheels or shipping info. They do not reply to emails or the chat function on their website.
Good luck finding a phone number for them. I am now going to have to get on to the bank and dispute the credit card charge to see if I can recover my money.

I wish I had read these reviews before…

I wish I had read these reviews before making my purchase, but too late now. I can only hope my order turns up, however I will also get assistance from Credit Card company if things go completely pear shaped. Same as many. Part labelled as ‘in stock’ but after placing order received basic email to say ‘on back order’ with no ETA. Just after some assurance, I will get part and rough estimate as to when, but emails and messages now going unanswered. Very frustrating. Communication is key to great service and this has really let them down. Assumed a scam until I found these reviews. Anyway, there is still hope the M2 interior trim kit will arrive and Mode will come through and for now, I’ll keep my fingers crossed.

Deal with Mode Auto and Roll the Dice

This is a tale of 2 orders placed on the same day with this company, and it highlights why you should judge a company NOT on when things go normally, but how they deal with you when things go wrong…
Order 1: Parts showed “in stock”, placed order online, items delivered in timely manner - no problems. This is the ONLY reason they get 2 stars instead of 1….
Order 2: Part showed “in stock”, placed order online, however received a phone call saying it was NOT in stock and would be 4-6 weeks from Supplier. OK, not great, but at least they were proactive and called me about it - little did I know that this was the LAST of the “proactive” communication….
4-6 weeks quickly turned into 8 weeks, and as other customers have said, there is NO PHONE NUMBER to call, so you are stuck with email. Email responses take days to respond, and the response is usually “sorry for the delay, we’ll look into it and get back to you” - except they DON’T get back to you…
Week 9 and I received a Shipment Notice from Aramex saying my Package was on its way, Great - better late than never ! Except it was never because Aramex incompetence kicked in and they LOST my package !! Even at this stage, although frustrating, if Mode Auto had been proactive and provided the expected level of customer service and ownership of issue, I would have been accepting - however it has now been 12 weeks and I have had virtually NO response from multiple emails asking for an update, and currently have zero idea when or if I will ever get the Product I ordered 3 Months ago !
Mode Auto have left me with no other choice but to cancel the order and get a full refund. I am now looking forward to further weeks of non-responses and having to get my Credit Card bank involved in returning my money if I go by other reviewers comments….
Extremely disappointed by the complete lack of customer service and poor communication… yes things go wrong (like delays and lost packages) but these can be accepted and relations maintained if the company is responsive, proactive and communicate in timely manner… Mode Auto does NONE of this.
Deal with Mode Auto and roll the dice…

Did not receive yet, no help from Mode

Mode has done nothing for me to help resolve described below, no help whatsoever. If there was an option for zero stars, that would be my review.

June 23 to July 21 events. Did not receive yet, UPS has been terrible to deal with, they keep trying to deliver during the work day and I’m not home, no means to communicate with them provided , so I can’t reschedule. Move forward two weeks, and now UPS has lost my package, investigation opened but no information at all.

Refused to answer a simple pre-sales question

5 stars for having a good range of wheel spacers available in Australia. Minus 3 stars for the below pre-sales experience.

I asked EIGHT times via email for the outer diameter of some wheel spacers, specifying the exact ones I was referring to, and they refused to give me the outer diameter without me providing the vehicle rego, State and VIN number. Each time I reminded them that this is not a vehicle fitment or vehicle specific question and that I just want to know the outer diameter of the spacers with the part numbers I provided because I have a PERSONAL outer diameter preference that is nothing to do with vehicle fitment. They refused to give me the measurement and kept insisting on getting the vehicle rego, State and VIN, which are completely irrelevant to my question. In the end, I had to reach out to a 3rd-party reseller, who measured one in all of 10 seconds and provided me with the simple answer to my simple question. I hope this review is a wake up call to not be so ridiculous about vehicle details next time when asked for a non-vehicle-specific dimension of a product.

After receiving the answer to my simple question from an external reseller, I ordered spacers and they arrived on time and worked great.

DO NOT DEAL with this company

DO NOT DEAL with this company. Read everyone else’s reviews.They sell defective products at premium prices. Then when you raise an issue they don’t reply. I’m not the only customer this has happened to it’s clear from their other google reviews. If I could give a zero star I would. There are a lot more other companies in Australia to deal with who actually list a contact number on their website and are keen to provide basic customer service and sell the same products. Save yourself the headache do not purchase from this company.

Zero Stars for after sales service.Mode Auto Concepts have no honour. They won’t even comply with policies they wrote

I have been a customer of Mode Auto Concepts for years and I have spent thousands of dollars purchasing parts from them. In fact I have given them a 5 star review 18 months ago. My recent experience with their after sales when trying to return a part. They simply do not reply to emails regarding returns, even though the purchaser is complying with their returns policy. Parts require VIN number “for MODE fitment guarantee”. My VIN was supplied for all items and on the notes for the overall order. Mode Auto Concepts will not reply to email regarding a Part that does not fit. A guarantee is only worth anything if MODE is willing to honour it with the terms they stipulated themselves. MODE after sales service is not existent. Proceed with caution. I don’t trust them. I won’t buy from them again. There are plenty of competitors!

Disgusting Customer Service

This company,Mode auto concepts is possibly one of the most downright deceitful , opportunistic online businesses willing to take the good nature of their customers and throw it smack back in your face.
Do not believe when their website shows an item is in stock and will be ready for pick up within an hour of ordering because like all of the other 1 star reviews, I suffered the fate of having to chase and chase and chase my AU $1500.00 purchase and only got it once Afterpay stepped in .Do yourself a favour,shop somewhere else

Absolutely pathetic

Absolutely pathetic. I ordered 20 MODE PLUSTRACK EXTENDED LUG BOLT 14X1.5 BLACK 28MM BALL SEAT 17MM HEAD to replace the ordinary factory wheel bolts and covers. Received 15 of the same style and five of a different style. Their reply was but they will fit or you can come and drive over 100klms each way and we can swap them. I dunno but I think my $200k car should have matching wheel bolts. No phone number, no replies to emails. Absolutely pathetic service.

pathetic service

pathetic service. Bought a TMAP sensor for our car, it needed a harness with it for it to operate at additional cost - no mention of this on their website. Have been trying to correspond with them for last month. Lack of response, slow response and no number to ring make it impossible to to deal with them. Very bad servcie, would never purchase again from them
